Go Bespoke You Wont Regret It...

On two seperate occasions i have had a battery storage and solar system installed on my house by Underwood Electrical Ltd. I decided to go with Underwoods proposal despite being a little more expensive than the quotes offered by energy companies as they offered a bespoke solution that was designed for my house and its load demand. I didnt want a system that was designed on a perfect house in a test centre that does not reflect how my solar array would capture the sun. I have no regrets what so ever, the performance exceeded expectations and the standard of work is A++. I would highly recommend them to those considering renewables.

Excellent Service

I had my solar panals installed in August by Jason and team . What I needed prior to the work being done was a face to face consultation with the firm . Jason called to see me and he is an excellent communicator so every question was answered fully . I needed the whole concept explained. I had a quote from the larger energy company OVO and they were not happy to call face to face and the quote changed within 3 days . Jason gave me a total of 4 options and I was able to consider them . I had an independent electrician who viewed both OVO and Underwoods and agreed Jason’s would suit my house and energy usage . Sam and team kept me updated on what was happening on the roof and the battery and inverter were located in the garage.The team were hard working and polite and checked with me on certain details . I would recommend Underwoods 💯 %. Nothing was too much trouble and after the work has been completed I am reassured I can call Jason if I need anything . Although I’ve only had 1 full months bill for the same period last it’s £60.00 less . It’s s long term investment and Iam looking forward to saving money as time passes .

I've had two installations completed by Jason and team, the first was in 2024 when I had a Givenergy battery system and the second in April 2025 of solar panels. On both occasions I was very pleased with the whole process from start to finish, and continue to be happy with the results, which have transformed my energy bills. Highly recommended!

Outstanding from start to finish

From my initial call with Jason, to my handover following installation by Sam I’ve had an outstanding experience. Let’s face it, this is a big investment and everyone should be ensuring due diligence. I spent a great deal of time researching solar and batteries (shout out to SolarUK on Reddit) and sought out 6 quotes in total. I quickly learnt that the big national companies were not the route to go down. They don’t treat the process with the attention or care required. I’d then narrowed down to three local companies, all of whom were great, but Jason’s attention to detail, willingness to explain and the fact he spent the time to drive out and assess the job instantly filled me with confidence. Communication was outstanding, I knew where I stood at all times. The DNO was out of Jason’s control and unfortunately took a long time, which delayed the install. On the day of installation, the team were great and took care in what they were doing, made a very neat and tidy installation and left the area clean and tidy. I cannot recommend them enough, so much so, they also fitted the same kit to my parents house. Thanks for the outstanding work.

From Start to finish I felt I was in…

From Start to finish I felt I was in good hands no baffling jargon the willingness to work with me so.i could have the best system I could afford they worked with me to incorporate the system I had already and now im future proofed the system is modular and expandable. They arrived promptly at 9am and worked professionally throughout the day always respecting my property......returned next day to complete due to my system needing some extra configuring at which time I was helped to configure the system ...... Head and shoulders above other companies

Nothing short of outstanding

Nothing short of outstanding. Jason was very relatable during the quoting process, his passion for getting the right solution for our home was evident. Quality of work and communication were spot on. Very neat and tidy cabling, and great after install service. We had an issue with our inverter and he just replaced it and sorted it out with supplier, no hassle. If we ever move Jason and his team will be down again for an install for sure.

Cant Fault them at all

Did alot of research into companies before i went with Jason and his team. Was given a quote with 3 different options of sizes and configurations of my solar install. Was always kept informed of when things were happening such as scaffolding and such. Arrived on time and ready to work. Very professional with there work with a healthy does of banter with each other. Didn't mind when i asked questions about things that i didn't quite understand. All in all im very glad i went with Underwood for my solar install. And would defiantly recommend anyone to give them a call for any of there services not just solar. Thanks

I was given advice and information to allow me to make an informed decision about the system I needed. The quotation was supplied along with a scheduled installation date. I was kept informed of the progress of the order and a firm installation date was supplied and the installation was completed as promised. The system is working as indicated and Jason has always replied promptly to any queries I have had. A very professional installation carried out with a minimum of disruption and I am very happy with the outcome.

Every query answered

Every query answered, everything works better than expected. So under promise and over deliver sums our experience up. Decent sunshine obviously helps but the savings are in the region of £3-£4000 pounds (inc fuel for car conservative est) I went from not knowing anything to understanding how it all works all thanks to Underwood Electrical Ltd

Excellent job

Underwood Electrical fitted my solar panels and did an excellent job. Fitted 16 x 510kw Panels with 8kw Inverter and 16.12 of Battery Storage It was a real pleasure to work with Jason and the team and would highly recommend using them if you are thinking of having Solar Panels fitted in the future

“Wonderful experience from start to finish” Jason is really knowledgeable about solar. Having read lots of cowboy stories, I chose Underwood Electrical as they are local, gave great advice to shape the solar setup, and I felt confident in their abilities to deliver a near and working solution. Looking back this was a great decision: the installation is very neat, worked immediately after commissioning, and Jason delivers follow up training and advice to ensure best use. They come highly recommended and deliver outstanding service.

Had Solar &battery system & Zappy car charger installed by Underwood Electrical. Jason and his team were very knowledgeable as he has the same system at his own home. Everything went smoothly. Our Lecky bill has reduced massively and we are putting excess solar into our EV. Any small query I have about settings etc. is always answered promptly.

Jason passed on a great amount of knowledge about various PV panels and Battery storage and Inverter systems which helped us to choose a good one and gave us a fair quote. Jason came to do a survey, which was very welcome as all other installers seem to prefer remote surveys. We had the opportunity to discuss with him how we would use the charger and he was able to suggest options for us to consider. Once we had made a decision he sourced the charger and it was fitted within a few days of arriving. The guys who fitted it were on time and did a great job. I will be using Underwood again for other electrical services.

I was very impressed. I submitted a lot of photos so that Jason could see what was needed and discussions on phone and email. He ordered the unit and kept gave a regular progress report. Once the unit arrived (which was not long, about a week) an installation date was agreed and fitted on that date. There was a fault on the unit (not their fault) and this was put right in a couple of days. I had expected a wait time of several weeks but in fact it was very quick indeed. The cost was slightly cheaper than a quote from another installer. Would certainly recommend.
