Simple Heating installed a boiler for us as part of a government grant scheme. The entire process was extremely efficient from start to finish. All the staff we met from the initial survey to the boiler install and electrical work being completed were very professional. We’ve been very pleased with the experience. Simple Heating have been excellent to deal with throughout.
Simple Heating provided a fantastic service replacing my old boiler, it was installed with a matter of weeks with excellent communication throughout. Ash Evans was friendly, reliable and professional, available to answer any questions I had. The install was prompt, my new boiler heats up much quicker and is more efficient. Excellent service from beginning to end. The engineers Tom and Callum were first class and another guy called Dave has just called to photograph the radiators. Colin was the joiner…. Good. Gordon and the girls on the phone were very supportive too. 100% customer satisfaction!!! ******
Had simple heating for a new boiler, radiators and internal wall insulation fitted in my old house. The survey was done in a few hours and a week later the work commenced. The boiler, radiators, fans in kitchen and bathroom was all done in a day which was great. The internal wall insulation took a lot longer, approx 4 days as it’s such a long process. I can’t fault these guys at all in any way or shape. All the work was carefully done, very little to no disruptions to my neighbour as I live in a mid terrace house. All the mess was taken on a daily basis. The insulation job was done carefully with lots of consideration taken throughout my house. Even had the insulation manager (Dave) call me to discuss how each room of the house was being treated etc, any issues or questions, the lads were always happy to answer and for anything else, the insulation manager Dave was also always available to answer any and all my questions. Absolutely 10/10, I’m only gutted I couldn’t get the same level of funding for my parents house.

Had these guys come out and fit a boiler and cavity wall insulation at my parents house. The process to get qualified for the work was quick and easy - couple of letters to prove income and ownership of the property was enough. I had the house surveyed the week later and 2 days after the work commenced. We had a combi boiler fitted, the fans in the kitchen and bathroom, trickle vents on the windows and lastly the cavity wall insulation. I was slightly apprehensive at the mess it all made but the lads were spot on. Took one full day to fit everything and cleaned all the areas at the end of the day. We had an issue a couple of days later where the boiler lost pressure and I had a leak come out of nowhere. I called them up first thing and spoke to Gordon, he was able to diagnose the issue over the phone, sent a different lad (Jonathan) and had the leak and boiler fixed. Gordon also came out to carry out a full inspection of what was fitted and was happy to sign it off. I was then made aware of the warranty with this company and was told to report any issues. Overall great experience and attention to details for my parents house. I felt they were in great hands. 10/10
Exceptional customer service from start to finish! The girls in the office reassured me when I was nervous due to reviews (I can only imagine these bad reviews come from Karen’s) and talked me through the whole thing start to finish! The heating manager talked me through the technical side step by step and answered all my questions (sorry to ask so many, thank you) and the engineers are lovely! Turned up on time, tidied up after themselves and did a wonderful job! I don’t understand the bad reviews, my personal experience was 10/10 from the start right to the very end! There is no accountability for the work. Ian and chris left gas pipe sticking 4'' above floor boards. drilled hole through wall shattered my bricks.We had to have an emergency plumber out, they crossed threaded a radiator valve which started to leak and lost boiler pressure, Boiler switched on whenever cold tap was used because pipes weren't secure. plumbers were friendly enough, but didn't care. They came from manchester to notts and did the work in one day. Once fitted your on your own with problems, Gordon the maintanace manager does no return your emails or phone calls. this company is abusing this government scheme taking the money and run. (i would not recommend) theres nothing in life for free. and you only get 2yrs warrenty on your boiler, not 10 years when fitted by a private plumber, because they buy the boilers in bulk from there manufacturers
I would not recommend this company. I have been left feeling that they used me to access grant money and that reputation or the customer is not important. I had read the negative reviews but gave benefit of doubt to the individual circumstance. Unfortunately my experience followed a similar pattern highlighted. Firstly I must admit the girls on the phone are lovely and would give them 5/5. The issue is with the engineering side and general communication / work. It is my opinion that they want quick and easy, time is money, quality and customer satisfaction are not a concern. This is based upon my experience and may not reflect the company on the whole, yet take this as a warning. Engineer provided great lip service when prompted, but little else. Drilled holes left gaping and not filled, didn't clean up debris if out of sight, breeze block and concrete as the outer wall of flue, minor damage to property not mentioned, carpets stained and not mentioned, expansion tank not removed, half the radiators not hanging on the wall brackets.... So a one day job took two days, yet a leak was detected. Tried to claim it existed prior to work, but contradicted himself by saying it passed the leak test at the start. Lip service said he would come back at the weekend. After two weeks of being messed about and then ghosted, I contacted the company. I didn't get to speak with the manager, but the following week when I chased again, I was told that the engineer had told them he would sort it at the weekend (I received no communication). Engineer then messaged and turned up a few days later, but wasn't able to resolve as I needed to create additional access under floorboards. The ignoring of messages repeated. After three weeks I got another company out who resolved the issue in about an hour. There has been no follow up from the company. There is no accountability for the work and it is down to yourself to chase. I feel aggrieved by the experience and felt compelled to write this as a warning. If the job is quick and simple without an issue, then they may do a competent job and you will be happy. If you have issues, you will not be supported.
New boiler fitted as part of grant scheme. Work was not completed and plumber ghosted me (Kyle). I've arranged a new plumber to complete work and he's already notified me of 3 safety failures which will be reported. No safety fire plate fitted, incorrect pipework from mains gas, 15 mm and should be 22 mm. Old back boiler not disconnected and live gas still in pipe. Avoid.
Wouldn't give 1star tbh but can't put review if don't give any stars! My nearly 90 yr old parents encouraged into having their home insulated & a new boiler for free with a goverment scheme sounded too good to be true & guess what it was!!! Two months after the job started they have had the boiler break down requiring the engineer out numerous times, they are still waiting for the joiner to finish putting picture rails up in all the bedrooms AND the hall & stairs (he's waiting for maghogany coloured wood apparently!!) the plasterer didn't take the handrail off the stairs to plaster resulting in a very lazy job where he plastered over most of the brass fittings (total messy job) Me & my dad have spoke to contract manager (Dave) several times but he talks the talk sounds sincere but doesn't actually get job done, I asked would the job not have someone to check it's been finished to a good standard & he said when he's been told by labourers (joiners/plasterers/ electricians) they have finished he will go and check it out so we are not holding our breath. My 89 year old dad has bought some picture rails and is going to pay someone to fit them as the whole ordeal is stressing him out and has made him feel ill he just wants his home finished. I would not recommended this firm to do oversee a job even if they paid you to do it , it is really not worth the distruption!
Had my 22 year old boiler replaced yesterday. Just one engineer,Roy, who turned up on time and worked non stop from 8am til after 3pm without a break. He was polite and professional, explained everything to me and removed all the rubbish leaving no mess. I now have a new boiler, one new radiator and new thermostats on all radiators plus a Honeywell remote control to alter my clock, timings etc from the comfort of my settee. Thank you Roy I am overwhelmed with the service and my warm home.
Had a great experience. Kyle & Jonjo fitted a new boiler and Honeywell Home thermostat control and replaced a radiator. Also had loft insulation topped up. All work was completed in 1 day with minimum disruption. Took time to talk me through everything and cleared up after themselves. Thank you so much.
Site survey carried out for boiler replacement and the guy who came was professional and friendly. The installation went well by Kieran (he didn't stop throughout!) Only negative was some of the information wasn't passed to the Engineer so this required a second visit but that again was completed by Kieran. Quick and painless. Thanks all!
I had my central heating system replaced by this company 10 months ago. Initial installation was some the worst work I've ever come across and after working alongside heating engineers for over 30 years thats saying something. Boiler not level, damage to newly instaled radiators as well as damage to belongings and work tops to name but a few of the issues. I've just had to move a radiator and i can honestly say the state of the pipe work under the floor left by Simply Heating is beyond belief! The engineers who installed the pipe work need there tools taking off them for good! Terrible standard of work! If you have had work done by this company i suggest you get it inspected.
Boiler was installed. Didn't work called simple heating services and was passed to Worcester Bosch. They said issue wasn't with them an that installation was Wrong and that a leak must be somewhere in the system. Then the return valve without warning dropped out a week later I Had to pay an emergency repairer £200 to fix and flooded and broke tumble dryer in the process. Spoke simple heating said they would pay if I sent receipts for repair. I did this 4 times, Then chased for 18mths ppl saying I'd get a call bk and never did. Now they just don't answer the phone. Cowboys stay clear. I have full evidence and am currently passing to trading standards, stay clear!!!.
Personally, it has been a bad experience. First of all the surveyor called Andy came around to do the survey and the kept on telling me that we couldn't get a boiler fitted in a position where we wanted it and told him that we wanted a system boiler and he was didn't tell his head office and then he came back to do the survey and he did the same thing again. A really terrible service by this man. And then the company took 1 whole month to book an appointment to fit the boiler (agreed on a system boiler) and then came around and because of Andy there was confusion where the boiler was going to go as he hadn't communicated the information to his higher ups. And i was told I got a system boiler fitted and I checked it was only a heat only boiler which was clearly not suitable for my house as I had a tank fitted which is only ran by system boilers and I was asked to pay money. So my money has went to waste and I didn't get the quality of service I should have got . Also the people who came to fit the boiler were good. So overall it's a struggle as I had to fit all the piping myself as the company said they won't be doing that. So only choose this company if you are ready to take a lot of stress and it would be better to find another company.
First surveyed by Antony. Then Josh and Drew came 2 weeks later and renewed our old combi boiler. Both lads worked very hard.were clean. Tidy and nice chaps.thy explained everything about the new boiler.Tommy came 2 days later to earth and check electrics. Very satisfied with the job and would recommend the company.
A surveyor attended, promised the world in terms of what would be done at installation. Unfortunately , as the company never sent a contract (more fool me) when actual work began so did the problems. Insulation - half the agreed work was done, poorly, with no offer to finish the work. (done poorly leaving insulation exposed to the elements) Again no warranty or paperwork, so no guarantee. I have since asked for remedial work, offering to send photos of the issues, but the company have not taken me up on this. The insulators also damaged property, leaving pink foam sealant on a matt (destroyed) and over the tiled flooring. Then the boiler install, waited round all day, only to get a text from the installer that he would not be coming due to a puncture. Had asked him to keep me updated, took 5 hours to say rearrange. (I Had put children into childcare especially for this) 2nd attempt at an install, the engineer said the boiler would not fit and left. Numerous phone calls later, the surveyor arrived and remeasured confirming the boiler did fit. Again children had been put in childcare at my expense. 3rd attempt, queried items i had been promised,as the engineer was not fitting them,it was denied this work had been agreed, i was called a liar by a manager (Gordon) who proceeded to demand immediate payment for the job before they would commence work. With substandard work having already been done, and half the work i was promised would be done, i refused this, as did not think the boiler would be fit for purpose based on what the surveyor had told me and what had been agreed Then an email from Bethany Norton (operations director) dismissive, unhelpful and inaccurate. After 2 weeks of chasing her, refusing to speak to me, discover it's because i had been asking for a reduction based on the failed installs where i had booked children into childcare. Why this could not have been explained earlier i do not know. Again immediate payment was demanded the day before any work could commence. I asked why this had changed, as previously i had been called on the afternoo of the installations, it took 2 weeks to get a reply. I offered to pay when the engineer arrived, but this offer was not taken up. Bethany did not follow the company complaints procedure, which is around updates as to what is happening etc. This only added to the frustration i was feeling. I received no apology in regard to the failed installs, and the additional expense this was causing, or no apology over the amount of chasing i was doing and had to do each time. All in all i have found this company dismissive, untrustworthy and hostile towards me , with absolutely no focus on accountability or customer service. There are alternatives, go with them.
