Very frustrated with the lack of replies from Shropshire Green Energy. It's like communicating with a black hole- nothing ever comes out.
Incredibly rude to me, they disrespected me and damaged my property, I am distraught and im am literally crying
They didn't come the day they were ment to with no headups they spoke to use with disrespect blaming each other. We have verbally warned them the roof is unsafe and has leaking problems yet they insist they must use the roof instead of going through the front door. They weren't even bothered to even knock on the door to inform us they weren't going to do it on the set day which we canceled plans for to be in and we had to go down the road to speak to them.
Do NOT allow these people to work on your home because when things go wrong which they will, they are not interested in repairing correctly. This is the mess they left my 83 year old mom’s house in after drilling through her kitchen wall and not telling her. I contacted them and asked for it to be repaired, these pictures are what she’s left with after two attempts at the repair. They have no compassion for an elderly lady and will turn up unannounced to just bodge. The repair patch area is getting bigger every time they attend and I’m now told it will take at least another two visits to rectify. My mom does NOT want these totally unprofessional people back in her home because she feels very anxious of them turning up unannounced and poor work. If you look at previous reviews it clearly shows how they handle situations like this,to put it bluntly they simply don’t care about the properties they are working on or the people that live there. Update to your reply below. In all due respect you are fully aware of the standard of repair as seen in your response to my WhatsApp messages, pictures added. You have made no attempt to repair this correctly, your actions from the onset are nothing but an embarrassment to your company that has left an elderly lady in tears. It’s all well and good giving a response to this review to make out you care, however in reality this isn’t the case. After a message from Lee yesterday I asked him to do the rite thing and sort it out correctly, and I’ve heard nothing since. I’ve no need to call you I’ve already don’t that on numerous occasions to no avail, you have my contact number so you are however welcome to call me. I will of course give another update on how it’s handled going forward. Update 23/02/26 Have heard absolutely nothing from this company, but they have however removed their response that made out they care. They have also today reported my factually correct Trustpilot review in the hope of it being removed, unfortunately for them Trustpilot reviewed it and found no problems so it is back up, have added a picture of this too.
Got some right weirdos working in the offices as since I put in a review for insulation for my property I've been stalked by one of the workers there as I recognised the vehicle when going past one day to report and nothing was done! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
They didn't turn up the first day for cavity wall insulation and said they would make my parents 1st call the following day . Had to chase the office at 11 am ,as they hadn't arrived . They eventually turned up half an hour later , they were taken from another job and were redirected! Worryingly, they didn't take any measurements internally before drilling... they drilled through into the kitchen, causing damage and under the sink . They missed a major electrical cable by an inch or so . See attached photos (I've screenshot videos) . Their boss , Lee , was supposed to be turning up on site to assess and advise , guess what ... no show . Avoid this company at all costs EDIT 14.8.25 The edited response from the owner is complete fabrication. Yes , phone calls were conducted, but as yet , the damage has not been rectified. In fact , Lee Dixon , the manager, was supposed to be at the property today at 11am. to discuss the schedule for repairs to the damage caused by his workers . He didn't turn up and didn't have the decency to call to cancel ! This company cares little for customer service... look at the reviews and make your own mind up . You don't get either 5 or 1 star reviews , a cynical person may suggest the 5 star reviews are also fabricated .
I was advised that Shropshire Green Energy Centre were a reliable company and if they couldn’t do what I wanted they would say so! Lee came early on a Saturday morning to survey our house for installation of cavity wall insulation. I had been researching this for some time and had 2 online quotes (without on site survey!). House was built in 1984, had a thermal imaging scan and others to look at it. Within 5 minutes Lee easily identified (without drilling any holes) that the house had the cavity filled during construction with quality rock wool. He was very friendly, helpful and honest and said the cavity was already filled with quality material and he would get the survey fee reimbursed, which he did. Many, many thanks Lee and Shropshire Green Energy. If ever I need a Green energy issue dealing with again. Shropshire Green Energy will definitely be my first port of call.
Come to take the cavity out of the walls and ended up with loads of it in my kitchen. Went all in my toaster and get my food. Which I had to throw away. They said they would clean the mess up. But it’s everywhere. Even in my kitchen draws I have asthma they wanted to take the toaster to get it professionally cleaned. I’m refuse this at the start. As well as had to pay someone to clean for me. And then today they turn up with the same toaster, which I am petrified Of having back due to it, May Set fire. And I end up with cavity in my bagels or bread. They are really not understanding and totally do the opposite of what you require. I’m dreading that they still have to come back and still put the insulation in yet. Who would be happy with knowing insulation has been in their toaster. I was also told that someone would come in the house for 10 minutes To check that everything would be okay. No one came in until it wasn’t okay.
Had my cavity wall insulation done spring time. Now I have a wet wall and damp floors on one side of the property. Regret having the work done.
This company attended our house today to do loft, and cavity wall insulation. They also fitted some trickle vents to doors/windows, checked the guttering, maintained/repaired some air vents in the brickwork, and fitted tank jackets to water tanks in the loft. They did far more work than I expected being extremely thorough and professional. They were also very polite, and easy to get along with. I was very impressed with all the work they did, and the service they provided. Whats more all this was done for free under a government insulation scheme. I am a very happy customer!
Very polite and pleasant young man came to survey for cavity wall insulation earlier this week, he was very helpful and an asset to your team.
I cannot praise this company enough. John, who carried out the boiler replacement, was polite, friendly and professional. The replacement was done efficiently, with minimal disruption. He explained how the remote boiler control worked and made sure everything was cleared and cleaned up from the job before he left. I highly recommend Shropshire Green Energy Centre as I have complete faith and trust in them. Thank you 🙏🏽😊
Foul language, no respect for the residents.
Don't touch this company with a barge pole. They're completely useless. Tried to have loft insulation fitted through Warmer Homes they cancelled it after 9 months without even doing any work. They never call you back and it's a complete nightmare trying to get them to respond. Do NOT recommend. *Update Following factually incorrect response from SGEC (that also included what we would regard to be personal information)* During pre-installation engineer visits both agreed proposed kitchen works were not satisfactory but did not state they were a requirement until SGEC cancelled the contract. We proposed (not SGEC) a solution and got the contract re-instated. Only upon installation date did we discover the works would be unsightly and cause permanent damage to our property and they offered no solution - they cancelled the contract again. Warmer Homes stated that SGEC were the nominated contractor and they would have to work with us to provide a solution. It was suggested that SGEC do the installation without causing damage and we find an electrician to come and finish the install properly, this electrician only took a couple of minutes to find a suitable power source that would not cause damage that SGEC never even bothered to look for). At no point did SGEC propose solutions, at each turn we had to propose solutions (not SGEC) and were instructed to find an electrician for the cleanup, we chose a reliable electrician who has been in the business for 30 years and happened to be someone we knew. SGEC also know full well that we have been in communication with Warmer Homes right up until last week.
Nothing but problems with our boiler & central heating system since the day they started work. Had to keep calling them back and even left a live cable undetected for weeks. Stopped taking our calls. Failed Gas Safe Inspection. Full of excuses but not one apology. Still waiting for repairs!
