Absolutely amazing job. Explained everything simply for me. Top work and understanding guys. Did have issues with previous work on guttering and the guys showed and explained what was wrong enabling me to get it fixed. Was happy to leave the scaffolding a little longer. Jay and his team are marvellous. They walk you through the best solar solution for the individual needs of the customer and deploy the system very quickly with care and attentiveness. I would highly recommend them and the innovative Sigen battery system, gateway and AI enabled app. I have used Sheffield Renewable Services three times, now, to top up my Sigenstor capacity and add a Sigen EV charger, which must say something about Jay and his team.

From initial consultation to final commissioning, the service we received from Jay at Sheffield Renewable Services Ltd was exemplary. We had a 16-panel solar system with battery storage installed on our slate roof, complete with a solar skirt, and the work was completed to an exceptionally high standard. Jay managed the entire process with great efficiency, seamlessly handling all DNO approvals. His MCS accreditation and the company's expertise provided us with complete reassurance regarding the system's quality and compliance. A standout example of his problem solving skills was his ability to seamlessly integrate our existing Zappi electric vehicle charger with the new system. He expertly managed this by installing and configuring a Shelly device, ensuring all components worked together perfectly. What truly stood out was the professionalism and attention to detail from the entire team. Communication was always clear and prompt, with messages answered almost immediately, making the entire process straightforward and stress-free. Jay is a reliable and knowledgeable installer who answers questions promptly and effectively pre and post installation. We had a solar and battery system set up and after a few tweaks were up and running in a matter of weeks. Whilst we had the team with us we decided to have a EV charging point also and it was efficiently installed at the same time.Neat and tidy, respectful and highly recommended, good after care as we get our heads around how to use the system to save us money, just waiting on the DNO from the National Grid which is taking a long time, once done we can get paid for any extra power we generate. I bought a 9.5 kWh battery from Sheffield Renewable Services and have been very pleased with the storage, which fits with my solar generation. There were some problems with the phone App, but Jay managed to contact the battery people and get it all straight. My Zappi car charger, which had been installed by someone else, needed new firmware and Jay went the extra distance for me as a customer. He installed the new firmware. Thanks, Jay. Better than I could have ever hoped! I had five quotes for our solar installation and only two actually came to the house. Jay arrived at the exact time he said he would and put us at ease straight away with his friendly approach and not a hard sell in anyway, we told him which brand we wanted (SIGENERGY) and went through our usage which is very high due to a couple of energy eating aquariums. He came back with a plan within just a few days and advised it would be about six weeks later for the install. Six weeks later the scaffold team arrived along with Jay and the install started the following day the roofers arrived and started to fit the 34 panels on the house and garage all was very professional and the two mentioned trades Jay use are really friendly and professional. Jay had the complete job done in 5 days, we had four batteries, inverter, gateway and the hot water gizmo installed and everything was so carefully planned out for a tidy install he even asked if I was happy with where it was being fitted before the drill came out. The day after the scaffold team gave us a courtesy call to say they were taking it all down the following day and job done! I literally cannot express how delighted we are with Sheffield Renewables so if you are worried about choosing the right installer don’t look any further than Jay and his team! 👏

We’ve had 14 panels with microinverters and a 5kw battery installed by Jay at Sheffield Renewables. Very professional service with a nice clean and tidy installation. Jay went above and beyond with anything we requested. Would definitely recommend this company.

Jay was really easy to speak to and deal with and nothing was too much trouble. He was really accommodating when we had to push our dates back. He was great with communication and really good at answering all our questions (and I asked a lot!). He was really professional at all times, the work was done to a really high standard. When we first met when he came for a quote he wasn’t intrusive or pushy and didn’t shove things down our throat. He came, he saw and he quoted and delivered exactly what he promised so was not only excellent with installation but also excellent with sales. Big companies need to take note and learn from Jay. A huge thumbs up from us, we can’t recommend the company enough!

I finally had Solar panels after an extensive search for the right person to do the job. So very happy with my decision to go with Jay Reid at Sheffield renewable services who was very thorough with the initial proposal plan for my house but I followed it up with a face to face discussion with Jay to answer my questions about the whole process. Jay explained everything really well and it made sense so I hired him for the job which was carried out to a very high standard and all his team were .professional and punctual. Without any hesitation would recommend Jay and his team to anyone who is interested in having solar panels . Work completed in about 2 to 3 days and the FoxCloud 2.0 app installed on my phone and Jay explained how it all works and helped me with the process of how my energy supplier will now supply or pay me for electric from my panels. A very big heart felt Thank you to Jay and his team at Sheffield renewable services. I've just had a second battery added today (9th June 2025) following detailed discussions with Jay about keeping more of my own solar energy and been less reliant on National grid. Addition of second battery

I've just had a second battery added to my solar panel system which Jay completed on 17th February 2025 I decided to get a second battery following detailed discussions with Jay about keeping more of my own solar energy and taking less from National grid. As always Jay explained everything really well and work was carried out swiftly to a very high spec Jay has a friendly and professional approach to business which is very welcoming and the aftercare service is so important.
