I am pleased to write my first review for Grid Neutral. My dad suggested I get in contact, and was not disappointed. All my concerns were dealt with professionally by Brendon, and I am now recommending the company to my friends.

Battery Install

I had a home battery solution installed by Grid Neutral having found them via the device manufacturers website. The provided a competitive quote and even tailored it to include some extra work I wanted doing. The install was quick and very tidy. The chaps installing were very polite and friendly. Some revisits were needed to complete some minor additions and these were all done to the same standard and they were very communicative via email and phone. I'd highly recommend them for any solar or battery work you need doing.

What a fantastic company and service. Great initial consultation/scoping by Brendan of what was possible and best for my property with clear expectations on delivery timescales and costs. In terms on installation- to the day and time scaffolding erected, panels and battery installed and scaffolding removed brilliant! As for the team Ewan, Ben and co - all amazingly friendly and helpful in terms of explaining battery/panel operation, as well as fixing loose tiles and guttering. As you can see - really liked everything about this company. Highly recommended.

Very pleased

Good communication throughout. Accommodated the changes to our solar system whilst we tried to configure it with Velux windows and internal layout. Quick and efficient install. A few minor niggles that have mostly been ironed out so generally very pleased. AND great to be generating and storing our own electricity!

A much needed diagram provided in double-quick time

I needed a schematic diagram to enable me to move energy companies and Brendon provided the diagram for me very quickly. As I had been attempting to obtain a diagram from our previous solar power company from June - October I was very impressed with the speed and efficiency and now have the schematic. Thank you very much.

Grid Neutral came highly recommended…

Grid Neutral came highly recommended and lived up completely to their reputation. They were knowledgeable, responsive, punctual, polite and courteous from the beginning to the end of the project. It really was a great pleasure dealing with them. Even their choice of scaffolders were similarly punctual, friendly, and helpful. Three days after my system had been fitted a neighbour called around to ask who the scaffolders had been, because he’d had solar panels fitted over a year ago and the scaffolding is still up!

We had a 4.4 kw system and a 9.5 kw Battery installed in September last year. Every aspect of the job ran smoothly and the staff were polite and informative, all the certification was provided quickly. A very professional team.

We had a 3KW installation by Grid Neutral earlier this month, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. They fitted the work around the roofing work we were carrying out, explained everything brilliantly, completed the job very swiftly and were extremely careful around the house. When we had an initial software issue with the battery they resolved it immediately - and at the weekend too. The best people we've ever had doing work in our home.

Best people to ever work on our house

We had a 3KW installation by Grid Neutral earlier this month and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. They fitted everything around some roofing work we were having done, explained everything brilliantly, delivered the work smoothly and swiftly, and were very careful around the house. We are a small club completely off grid and wanted to install a solar power system mainly for lighting. Grid Neutral priced the work very competitively, answered all of our questions quickly and honestly and even upgraded some of the units from original quote due to changes in the market without additional cost. We are a small club, completely off grid and were looking for a solution to getting lighting and a small amount of power installed. They know their stuff

Alec and his team are impressive - both for technical knowledge and customer service, as well as being competively priced. Our new GivEnergy AiO (battery and inverter combined) together with new smart EV charge point do exactly what they are supposed to do. I’d definitely recommend them - why wouldn’t I?

Solar panel installation

We chose Grid Neutral for our solar panel installation after a very positive recommendation from a neighbour. We have not been disappointed. From initial survey through to installation and commissioning, their work has been of the highest quality. Information and documentation were clear, the work was carried out very professionally and all the team were friendly and helpful.

We have never been so happy with a contractor as we have been with Grid Neutral. From start to finish Alec and the team have been amazing. All the lads had a brilliant attitude and were a pleasure to have on site. Theres a lot of cowboys out there but these guys really know their stuff! I am so glad we chose to work with Grid Nuetral, they're a cut above the rest and deserve recognition for it.

Excellent service and product

Grid Neutral are absolutely first class on every level! We had several quotes however they were by far the most knowledgeable on product and technical capability. This meant we really got the best system and products to suit our needs! They provided a fantastic service from start to finish. The engineers that installed the solar panels, battery, charger were excellent. We had a complicated system but they made sure the installation went smoothly; very helpful in explaining every step of the process, tidying up and providing a thorough hand over and aftercare service.

I couldn’t recommend Grid Neutral enough. From initial contact it was 6 weeks from start to finish and the system up and running. Mike and Alec were both really helpful and made sure all the work was carried out to a high standard. We had x14 panels plus a 9.5kw battery fitted and today alone the systems produced 31.25kw so I’m looking forward to seeing what it can actually achieve when it’s in the middle of summer!

I cannot recommend Alec and his team highly enough. Our project of Eurener all-black in-roof solar PV, GivEnergy 3.6kw Gen2 inverter, GivEnergy 9.5kwh Battery and Hypervolt EV charger took almost a year to complete due to the infamous global supply chain issues. However the EV charger was fitted rapidly with initial problems resolved very quickly. The solar PV system was also installed within a few months and looks great. Alec lent me a Solis inverter so I could make use of the PV whilst the inverter I wanted was delayed repeatedly. When it finally arrived, Alec installed it within a few days and its up and running, surpassing expectations. Alec and his team should be proud of the not-insignificant part they are all playing in the renewable energy transition. Thanks again.

I have just had a 6kwh system installed on roof , together with a 3.6 Givenergy Hybrid Inverter and 8.2kwh battery. The advice from Alec was spot on and the workmanship of him and his staff was faultless. Everything was installed to a high standard, with special mention to Dave and Will. From my first email enquiry I felt very confident in dealing with Alec at Grid Neural to retrofit a battery storage system to take advantage of my existing solar PVC system. He visited the site to evaluate the feasibility of the best location for the battery. He continued to think about the best place and it is now in the garage loft. Will, the electrician and Alec used ropes to lift the GivEnergy 9.5kWh battery into location. The battery is are very heavy. The electrician did a very neat job in installing a separate distribution board and back up power point. Both were tidy workmen, most polite and no trouble to have no site. Alex has considerable technical knowledge of the GivEnergy system and by 6.00pm on day 2 the battery was powering the house. Highly recommend.

We can’t recommend Grid Neutral highly enough. From first contact Alec was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. All work was carried out on time and to an extremely high standard. Alec was also extremely accommodating scheduling his work around other building projects that we were having done at the same time. Alec and his team have recently installed a PV/Battery/Inverter system for us. This has now been up and running for almost a month and is performing above expectations.
