Got them to do cavity wall insulation, came out to do the work, said the work was finished. I looked around the house and seen they only did half a wall, contacting the company to ask why I was told the work was completed yet it was not. Was told I would get a refund, 3 weeks later and they are not calling me back, scam is there game. I have contacted trading standards and this will be taken allover social media as well. They scam people out of money for work that is not completed then lie that the work has been finished. Unfortunately they tried it with the wrong person this time. Aslo contacted the government grant to voice my concerns about giving money to this company

Office staff were very friendly and helpful answering my questions. The lads who came to install the kit were polite,worked efficiently and tidaly,and were a great help explaining how it all worked. I would recommend Green Home Systems for solar panel installations.

Small cavity wall insulation job well done - but check the paperwork

GHS installed cavity wall insulation around a kitchen extension of my cottage in December 2025 - a relatively small commission. Nonetheless, out of 7 companies contacted, 3 of whom turned up to survey the job, only GHS actually bothered to quote and so subsequently got the job. Once the contract was sorted they provided a work date within 10 days or so, turned up on time and did a quick and tidy job. A house surveyor then turned up within a week of that and provided me with an updated energy performance certificate the same day. Following a further survey to establish that the house is adequately vented, I have subsequently received an insurance-backed guarantee for the work undertaken. For all of this, GHS deserve 5 stars and I would definitely recommend them for the quality and efficiency of the work done as well as the package of 'extras' included in the service. However, I have taken away one star simply because I found their back office a little dysfunctional, with minor inconsistencies between the quote, the contract and the services expected/ provided which I had occasionally to query and chase.

After a shaky start with a few issues we were delighted when a young man from the company turned up and sorted our problem out .Very nice capable chap who was totally clued up with the workings of the system.

Excellent tradesmen

Apart from first port of call being useless at returning calls..or answering, everything went much better than I had hoped. ( glad i knew somebody who had had job done previously..or i would have given up). Workmen were amazing! Clean, tidy and particular and kept us well informed on what was happening..deserve 10/5 no decorating or anything needed done afterwards. Job started and finished exactly when scheduled. System is working better than I had expected!!

Brilliant!

This was a scheme granted through my landlord and I was so impressed with the organisation of my job, which was a large one, and the communication throughout. The schedule was clear and precise and the teams that came in were all brilliant, respectful and friendly. Green Homes made the whole process easy and the work itself is to a very, very high standard. If I needed to speak to anyone about anything during process it was easy to get in touch with anyone in the office and get an answer to any question within a matter of minutes. Great experience. Very happy customer!

Home Insulation - Job Well Done

Customer services kept us notified of appointment dates and any changes to planned dates at all times. Electrical work , scaffolding and insulation itself was carried out professionally and with limited disruption. Job well done.

High Standards from Green Home Systems

We have just had 3 joiners in from Green Home Systems to install interior wall insulation and we could not be happier. Gordon, Callum and Josh arrived on our doorstep on Monday morning and have worked tirelessly for the entire week. The standard of their work is first class and their effort and attitude is exemplary. The boys have worked in all areas of our home which could have been quite testing, however they were respectful, well mannered and a pleasure to have in our home. Our work is not yet complete and we have more tradesmen coming in over the next couple of weeks. These young men have set a very high standard and have represented their company incredibly well. The bar has been set and we are keeping our fingers crossed that this standard continues. So far, we could not be happier with Green Home Systems if this is the standard! We are now approaching the end of the work Green Home Systems have carried out for us. We are so impressed with the company as a whole, but there has been some outstanding work carried out on our property. Andrew and Kieran were the heating engineers who worked so hard and were so efficient, they did a great job getting our home warm and cosy. Kevin and his team are the plasterers who have left the walls in our old croft house looking like it is a new build from the inside! Today we have Sorley who has come in to do some of the fine finishing joinery work and his work is exceptional, a real craftsman. He is also a 'breath of fresh air' and a pleasure to have in our home. Cameron and Lana are always just a phone call away in the office and they have done a fantastic job coordinating a smooth job. I can't recommend this company enough - I was beginning to think there weren't any companies like this left out there. They have restored my faith. Well done Green Home Systems!

Solar Panels

I had solar panels fitted by Green Home Systems on 24 November 2025. I had a very positive experience from start to finish. I was kept up to date with what was going to happen by Karli who works in their office. She was very pleasant to communicate with and nothing was a bother to her. If I asked a question and she did not know the answer she was very quick to find out from someone who did know. I can only say that Karli is a real asset to this company. The workmen who carried out the works arrived on time and were very professional and polite. They also tidied up after themselves. I would highly recommend this company from my experience, Thank you

I had work done in October and if…

I had work done in October and if submitted this review then would have given a five star review as the work carried out was excellent and the workmen very helpful. I recently had cause to contact Green Homes with a problem regarding the Shine App for my solar panels, they arranged for a visit to solve this, unfortunately no one arrived on the date arranged. I contacted customer service on two occasions and both times was told that somebody would contact me by phone I am still waiting. I would recommend this company for installation but not for customer service.

The Air Heating system installed by Green home systems is an amazing heating system The whole job was done in like military precision the squad of guys all knew there job & it was done in no time all our new loft insulation & all the different rooms with new cladding & then plastered the house looks amazing with the work they have done even before we paint & decorate But the heating system with its remote control & it has our cottage roasting in no time plus our new boiler for our hot water constant Our solar panels are all installed & working away lovely they will be better in the summer then we will get our return from grid But the full job from start to finish was done brilliant & all the worker were brilliant as well but as we were told what would happen did in no time at all Plus Green home systems called myself regularly with updates etc & keeping in touch with us making sure we were happy with everything which we were more than happy with there service I would say it’s a lot better than 5 Star Service nothing was a problem to them just got on with the job & even had a good laugh & banter with the guys All the different workers all took time & care to cover everything & clean up after themselves They all were a brilliant bunch of guys & I would recommend them to anyone

Political party?

I had a rep from this company delivering leaflets at my house today. He then started slagging off windfarms and the Scottish Government. Not really appropriate for a green energy company. Put it in the bin.

We have just had work on our house completed and we are delighted with all of it. We had all Insulation and ventilation installed, Solar Panels and Air Source Central Heatiing. The workmen were all exceptional very polite and helpful plus always left everything tidy. We would certainly recommend Green Home Systems to everyone.

Be warned, this company do not accept any blame for poor workmanship that they have carried out. Despite the surveyor stating the standard of the job was non existent,that the job had not even been to the remit of the work that would have been required at that time and also agreed that the company would have claimed the full amount of funding for the job ( i have a recording of this) and needed rectification the company have tried to claim it was done to the correct standard at the time. Once they have the money they fail to meet any obligation to the customer which is this case was an elderly lady. Now taking this matter to the ombudsman as the buck ultimately stops with their company regardless of whom within the company did the work and at what time. Stay clear is my advise of a company that won't take responsibility for its work and lack of standards

All the office staff and Company representatives who visited our house to provide quotations were very professional, helpful and friendly - especially Thomas, Paul, Cameron and the team of installers. There was no sales pressure and they answered all our queries. Highly recommend Green Home Energy Systems.

NIGHTMARE COMPANY. Initially, seemed great, new vents in the Kitchen & bathroom and new loft insulation... Then went sideways. Guys turned up to fit the vents with no clue where to fit them or connect to a power source. Got called at work and suggest our first choice of location and 2nd but explained that the kitchens about to be renovated so it's best to go with our first choice or reschedule... They said no because wouldn't want to be sent out again and first choice had "too many bends and would damage the tiles" which I explained wouldn't matter as the tiles were being removed... I said the 2nd location was fine then but only if the cables were going to be behind the walls (dropped cables) to which they replied "no as the company won't pay for plastering and don't put cables behind the walls). I didn't want it in the other location if the cables were going to be on show but They ignored it and put it in the 2nd place and put trunking that would cover the height of a wall and basically the length of 2 walls. The guys also left an absolute state in the bathroom & kitchen and tried to hide bored wall blocks behind our ivy bush instead of removing them like they are supposed to. We called and complained to which manager Tom came out and offered to fix it all. (next joke) They did at least bring electricians out to remove the old vent and these guys were great but they were appalled and horrified at the state of the initial work and even explained that they do put cables behind the walls, especially if it is a distance from a socket. They then found packaging rubbish, from the initial install guys, hidden under one of our cabinets and couldn't believe when they found out that the extraction duct wasn't even connected to the extractor fan so was just venting into the cavity wall. They were so apologetic and wished they could do more to help but could only plaster the inside hole as would need a joiner to seal the outside one. Waited until the 24th of June for the new vent install, as they were coming out when our electrician was due the same day and could make sure all the wiring etc was suited and done correctly... No one came, called the office to query it and the answer astounded me... "they did come to the car park but they just left"... Seriously??... told they would be out the next day which they were so got it fitted but they had no clue about cementing the other hole and said a lack of communication is common in the company as always causes issues. Complained about the hole to cust service again and Tom accused me of lying saying he never agreed to cement it and apparently I agreed to leave a gaping hole from the outside into my cavity wall (cause yeah... Any normal person would do that). After numerous calls they agreed to send 2 joiners out the next afternoon who arrived first thing in the morning... But least they were there right... Well clearly we'd been bitched about in the office because when I explained the issues that we had experienced with Tom they went "oh we know" with this very unprofessional attitude like they were reluctant to be there to fix the issue the company created. Got it repaired but during my conversations with staff, I got a response to my email to Tom saying I wasn't to contact their customer service as the staff had apparently come to him saying I was shouting at them and swearing at them (which isn't the case cause all I had done was apologise that the staff had to deal with this again and again cause management couldn't get it right),only to then find out he hadn't even listened to the calls to find out what was actually said or how I sounded so said I did these things with literally 0 effort to check the evidence. Tom has an attitude issue considering how he spoke to me on the phone and acting like fixing the issue was doing me a favour. Got it recorded incase he tries to lie about that too. Also contacted the regulator about false funding claims as claimed for more than they did. Good luck keeping your funding for fraud and abuse to people

Got my cavity wall and ventilation installed today - installers arrived sharp, pleasant to deal with and a professional job throughout, communication throughout was fantastic from the team in the office, Gordon and Lauren, explaining the full process leading up to install, right through to the installers all very fast, tidy, and professional keeping us updated throughout the job. Can’t recommend enough!

Such a simple and pleasant experience. Contacted to enquire about cavity wall insulation. Paul signposted me to a government grant that I wasn't aware of and talked me through everything. Survey was completed and a quote given. There was no hard sell or pressure. When funding was approved, the work was completed in the next few days. Even when the invoice was sent to me there was patience from the company whilst the funding came through from EST. Would happily recommend this company and will use them when I consider solar.

Absolutely disgraceful state this company left after cladding my neighbour’s roof. Scaffold up for 3 week’s turning up when it suited them. And then the horrendous mess they have left behind. Surrounding neighbour having to help clean up the mess and now we have a huge fly tip with the rubbish they have left behind. I will definitely be contacting the council.

Abysmal. Told me that in order to qualify for Eco4 funding I would need to install flat roof insulation. Purchased materials and arranged co workers and move from the property, only to be told ( when I contacted them to let them know the work was going ahead) that Eco4 funding is suspended because of "the new government" and that installing insulation could adversely effect eligibility for any other funding.Quick research revealed that this is nonsense and in fact their own website is still advertising Eco4. Farcical. Don't go near them.

Got offered cavity wall insulation for free through a gvmt scheme. Was a little nervous reading some reviews but went for it anyway. The team communicated well, did a great job, finnish was good and the house is now super toasty and everything is working great. Was a bit of mess after but nothing you wouldn't expect after a major job, especially when it was free. I did have one concern after the installation, which was nothing to do with the work, the team still sent someone out the next day and all has been working great. Overall fantastic experience and I'd use the company again. Really glad we went for it and my experience was very positive.

Green Home Systems installed supplied and fitted our Solar system a Heat pump with new radiators and loft installation on the Eco 4 grant. We were impressed with the professionalism of the company and the installers from start to finish. We have already recommended this company to other people and will continue to do so. We will be using their service in the near future.

What do you want when tradesmen come to your home? Well for me I want a good job, well done by a decent crew and with any luck a tidy crew that clean up after them - I can honestly say that's exactly what I got with Green Home Systems. I can't remember all their names but there were two Martins, and Ryan, Brendan, Paul, Willie, Jacob and Mattie. There were others and they were all a pleasure to have around. From the moment of first contact, I was assigned Michael Brown as the renewables consultant. Michael was very knowledgeable and his recommendations were sound for the property needs. A proposal was received immediately, and solar PV installation date arranged quickly once HES approval was received. The installation of 12 panels, battery, solar hot water system and cabling was done efficiently by an expert team of engineers who were all very good at their job. The only negative experience is when dealing with the office - obtaining technical support from Connor required numerous phone calls, which along with emails were not returned. Obtaining an accurate MCS certificate took 2 weeks, which delayed the switch to a suitable export tariff - the office and administrative work could be easily sped up to improve the overall experience.

Solar panel and battery installation. After a very poor experience with another company I was lucky to be able to move my order to GHS. They were friendly helpful and supportive, giving all the advice and information I needed to reapply for the government loan. Because of previous delays we were working to a very tight schedule but as soon as the paperwork was in place the installation was arranged at very short notice. On the day of the installation the panel installer was here early, having left home at 5.30 am and worked incredibly hard. The electricians were equally impressive. Friendly efficient and tidy. The job was completed by lunchtime and they gave me excellent training on using the system. I have no hesitation in recommending this company, particularly Andy Naismith who guided me through the whole process and went well beyond normal service to help me get this completed.

All were very friendly , knowledgeable and professional, pointing out minor repairs to the roof …Jamie the electrician and his colleague were also friendly they were knowledgeable and patient when installing the App taking their time explaining the battery and inventor. The overall experience from quote to installation was smooth. Installation was done professionally and in one day. Few areas to improve if they guide a bit more regarding documents prep for HES application and secondary the bird proof nesting needs to be improved as proper blocking with panels is better looking as compared to mesh. Overall good installers and will recommend them to anyone.

I got the best quote I could find anywhere from Green Home Systems for a battery installation and after a communication stall (or lack of it) we got there after an intervention by the managing director intervened. Thereafter David took over the management of the works and replied promptly to emails and texts. Special thanks goes to Jakub who despite some technical difficulties was super determined to get the system to work as it should. Several visits were required and he had to spend longer than anticipated but everything is now working as it should.

Absolutely rubbish company. Do not allow them in your home. While the guys were in my home no dust sheets were used when insulating my crawl space. My beautiful brand new cream carpet is ruined. Before the guy left he said there had been an accident & dirt had came through the dust sheet but he told me to contact his company & they would sort it. I couldn’t believe it when I went to look at the damage. No attempt had been made to use a dust sheet. I’ve tried contacting this company for the last 9 weeks & am still waiting for a reply. I’m now seeking legal advice on how to claim for a new carpet. If you need one of these kinds of companies use scarf. I certainly will in the future.
