We recently had solar panels and battery installed by Solr who were a recommended installer by Octopus, as Octopus themselves only did basic roof installations. From the initial survey to the completed installation it was such a pleasant experience and process. All our needs were met with the installation, as Solr managed to max out the number of panels to 16, but as we had a dormer bungalow,10 went on the tiled roof and 6 on the dormer flat roof. We opted for the Tesla Powerwall 3 so we could operate off grid if need be. All the equipment was installed in sensible places based on access to electrics and such. Very, very pleased. Post installation we are very impressed with everything, the amount of energy we use, the amount we export to the grid and the Tesla App that allows us to monitor the household. Solr are thoroughly recommended.

Solr installed our PV & Tesla Powerwall system recently & were fantastic at every stage of the process. Communication throughout from survey, install, DNO approval etc was such a breeze. Jack, Jake, Sean & Charlotte were all very receptive to my questions (even after install). Would highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly Recommended – Excellent Solar & Battery Installation Solr recently installed a 6.5kW solar system (14 south-facing panels) along with a GivEnergy 5kW hybrid inverter and 9.5kWh battery at my home, and the whole experience has been brilliant. From the start, Jake was great to deal with – honest, knowledgeable, and really helpful in explaining the best setup for my needs. Charlotte in the office was always quick to respond and kept things running smoothly behind the scenes. On installation day, Sean and his team were spot on – professional, tidy, and clearly knew what they were doing. The system was installed to a high standard and everything was explained clearly. The system is performing really well, and the GivEnergy app makes it easy to track what’s being generated, stored, and used. I’ve already seen a big drop in my grid usage. Overall, I’m really impressed with Solr – great service, great people, and a great result. Highly recommended!

The complete journey with Solr has been brilliantly handled by their team. Initial discussion, proposal, survey, scaffolding and the install team - the job itself completed in just 1.5 days and they even hid the indoor cabling and associated equipment within cupboards so nothing to see indoors at all. To top it all off the team on the day were polite, professional and went the extra mile to ensure everything was put exactly where we wanted it, then they totally cleaned up at the end of the day. They even allowed us time to get in a roofing contractor to take down our chimney which was found to be in a very unstable condition. As a retired service engineer I am so impressed to see that quality values are being upheld by Solr, we searched a few other companies but so glad we made the best choice. Thank you Jake and Solr!

Absolutely first rate service from Solr. Installation of 10 panels, and coordination with builder who was reroofing, carried out without a hitch and neatness of work exemplary. Final install of inverter and battery equally meticulous. It's early days as a new solar adopter but couldn't be happier with the service and communication I have received from Jake, Sean and the Solr team.

From the very beginning, the team at Solr have been fantastic. The quote itself was extremely detailed and the cheapest we were quoted. The week before the installation a lovely scaffolding team set up outside the front, which was extremely smart looking. On the day, the group turned up bright and early and got the job finished within 7 hours. It was incredibly efficient and the end results are extremely sleek. Really happy from start to finish.

Very good professional service from Solr from initial contact to discuss the best system for my needs 8 weeks ago to the installation over the last day and a half. The quality of workmanship was outstanding by a friendly team comprising an electrician a roofer and a young assistant. The system is perfect for my needs yet reasonably priced Can thoroughly recommend Solr for all your renewable energy projects from helpful advice to completion Even today which was overcast and rainy with occasional sun I achieved 98% of my total electricity use including using the washing machine and dishwasher

Great service from start to finish. Sean, Ollie and another guy (sorry didn't catch his name) were friendly, professional and did a great tidy job of the installation. They went the extra mile to make sure cabling looked the best and was hidden as much as possible (they even did a bit of weeding for me :-)). Jake was professional and quick to reply from initial assessment and quote, and when I made changes to the battery at quite short notice. All in all a great company and I would highly recommend. I think my electric bill for this first week is looking like about 50p and I've been maximising the great weather we had, but even on a cloud day like today I'm seeing my panels produce between a 3rd and half of their maximum and covering all my electric needs.

Chose Solr after getting 3 detailed quotes for installation of solar panels, inverter & battery. Really glad we chose them; their communications & knowledge are good, they turned up to everything on time & barely left a crumb of dust behind. They were also helpful with advice. So far the solar panels are performing well despite the lousy weather, and they look neat and unobtrusive on the roof. Recommended.
