Superb company, excellent service, both Carl and Otis are very knowledgeable, took on a challenging job of correcting a previous contractors non-compliant installation, did a brilliant job, started on time, finished on time, very clean and tidy, battery installation is now safe and compliant. Carl and the team at Evolution did a brilliant job from first contact through to completion of the installation. Carl explained clearly and thoroughly how a new system could work, answered queries and discussed options, and came up with several plans. We had quotes from other local firms, but Evolution was a clear winner for us, on price and due to Carl’s approachability. We had a hiccup with the need for planning permission, due to a previous planning decision. Carl helped providing necessary drawings. Once permission was received the installation went ahead in quick time. Carl and his team were neat, thorough, and completed a 34 panel, inverter, batteries and gateway installation in just 3 days, also advising us about a previously unknown problem with our roof tiling, and arranging a suitable fix. Nothing was too much trouble. Since installation he is happy to advise about the best way to run the system. Overall we were hugely impressed, and would have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

I was recommended by a neighbour to use Carl for my solar panels due to his workmanship and aftercare. From start to finish it’s been a great experience, the process was very smooth. I had a lot of questions, which wasn’t a problem, Carl is very knowledgeable and responds promptly. The best thing is he listened to my concerns and had the job done exactly how I wanted it- high expectations were met! It took 1 and a half days to complete, which I thought was amazing (All the men working with him were very respectable and hard grafters) Would highly recommend and use again in a heartbeat!

I had a number of quotes for the installation , but from first meeting with Carl I was confident of his proposal, advice and suggestions, and detailed cost, and was reassuring. Importantly his was the only company that provided a breakdown of the various components and labour , and actually spent time doing a thorough survey. Even though the team had to drive out 30 miles from their base the installation was completed in 2 days. They were confident, friendly and tidy. There was a minor internet connection problem, due to a weak Wi Fi signal in the location, but a member of the team drove out 30 miles from their base the next day, with a signal booster. Follow up was good, all the relevant documentation for my electricity supplier was passed on to me within a week. After a few years of debating whether to get solar, we investigated more seriously earlier this year. We obtained a number of quotes. Carl took the time to evaluate our requirements and designed a system to suit us. He and his team carried out the work cleanly and efficiently. They were patient in answering our questions as novices, and after sales has continued to be impressive. If you are considering solar we can't recommend Evolution Electrical highly enough. Carl and team from Evolution electrical installed a 16 panel solar system with a Sigenergy battery and Gateway device in case of power cuts to our bungalow in Chideock. Really competitive quote and seamless service. Installation only took two days and Carl monitored the system remotely afterwards to ensure all working correctly. Superb service that I would highly recommend...in fact I have been to my neighbours! Update 7/9/25 Exciting morning, the clouds, thunder and lightning rolled in this morning causing the inevitable power cut, only for a second or two. This was enough though for the Sigenergy app to message me to say that I was 'off grid' and had enough battery power for 60 hours of use. The only thing we noticed was a slight flicker of our lights and the message from the app, TV and the clocks were unaffected so no resets needed!

Carl responded quickly to our initial contact. He was very professional and completed the job on time and on budget. Happy to recommend.

Our Solar array and battery have been active for just over a month. We are very pleased with the system and the savings which have resulted. OMG, why! oh why! didn’t we have these installed sooner. I was given Carl’s details by a work colleague who had Solar panels and battery fitted by Evolution Electrical and they couldn’t recommend them enough. We contacted Carl and made our enquiries as to what we needed, what can we have and how much it was going to cost us. From the onset, Carl was really helpful, first, he did Google maps image of our roof space and potential number of panels, then he sent a detailed quote for us to view. If we were happy he would come to our property for a full survey and answer any questions or concerns we may have. He explained the full process from start to finish with regards to the Planning application through DNO, installation and all the required steps once fitted to start claiming pay back through your electrical company. Once approved the panel fitting and battery installation took two days and Carls team were swift courteous and clean. The panels look great on our roof and the battery and inverter system looks neat and tidy not obtrusive in any way. Glad I went for the Sigenegy system. Carl has even contacted us after a couple of weeks to see if we are happy with everything and if we need any help with the systems app. But so far all is great. Highly recommended Carl and his company Evolution Electrical.

From initial contact with Carl at Evolution Electrical the whole process of design advice and installation was a pleasure. Carl and his team worked hard to ensure our new solar system was installed with utmost care and professionalism. Keeping us informed at every key stage of the install. The system works wonderfully and the customer handover was clear and concise. All paperwork was forwarded from respective authorities by Carl which made applying for a export tariff a simple process. The whole system came in on budget too. Evolution Electrical were top class and I would recommend them to anyone who is contemplating a Solar installation and wants the best advice and customer service.

Outstanding service for a considerably better system and value for money than we were quoted by our energy supplier. Carl and his team are professional, responsive and polite. They all kept the environment clean and tidy while they were working over the course of the 2 day install, and worked very hard across both days. The entire process took just over 2 months from start to finish and we are amazed by how much electricity we have generated in 24 hours (especially at the beginning of April, although the weather has definitely been on our side!). The whole home battery backup system is a huge bonus for a village location that suffers frequent short lived supply interruptions, as the switchover is seamless. We could not be more pleased with both the system and the service we have received. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Impossible to fault Carl and his team. An abundance of useful information was provided before, during and after the installation. Great care and attention to detail was applied throughout the work itself and our property was left immaculately tidy. And the price was remarkably competitive compared with one national company. I would not hesitate to recommend this company or indeed use them again. Excellent service throughout.

We wanted to find a local renewable installer to add a 2nd PV array and a battery system to complement our 2012 system. We were looking for an installer who would work with us, and Carl and the small team at Evolution fitted the bill perfectly. He is very knowledgeable and together we came up with the perfect solution at a very competitive price. We agree with other reviews that the team is punctual, courteous and hard working. Apart from the hardware there is a lot of paperwork to contend with as well, which Carl dealt with promptly. Highly recommended. Well done and thank you.

Carl and the team did a fantastic job the installation was so professional and they are all really friendly and helpful every thing was explained before the installation went ahead and then when they had finished Carl explained what we needed to do to make the best use of our solar panels and if we had any questions after we could contact him, looking forward to receiving the drone footage they also took. Absolutely delighted with the solar panels and home battery system that Carl from Evolution Electrical installed at my property in April. The whole process from start to finish was extremely efficient. The installation was completed in less than two full days. A very tidy job and the solar panels themselves look great. Carl was very thorough with all the paperwork before the installation in order to speed up the process of being paid for exporting back to the grid. Carl was also very responsive to emails if I had any questions at all. My electricity bills are non-existent now, except for standing charge. And last week alone I earned £24 exporting back to the grid. Even on a cloudy summer day, the battery is fully charged by about 10 o’clock in the morning and the rest of the day we’re exporting back to the grid. I highly recommend Evolution Electrical If you’re considering solar panels and a home battery system.
