We are extremely satisfied with our solar installation and it was a pleasure to agree to a local installer to complete the job after spending some time in research and obtaining quotes from several other companies. Although never having installed a Sigenergy inverter and battery system before, Nick at ESS was more than happy to add Sigen to their knowledge base and obtain and fit the kit that we requested. The install and commissioning was straightforward with Nick giving it a good 9 out of 10 which cannot be bad for a first install. Thus very happy with our choice of inverter and can also thoroughly recommend ESS as an installer for houses or larger premises. Nothing to do with ESS but do allow time for the whole process to be completed as it took 4 weeks for G99 agreement from the DNO before install and then another 4 weeks after the install for the DNO to agree to power export. All in all - A Great Job done.

We have used ESS for a number of projects and all have been done in a very professional manner. They have just replaced two broken inverters in our house. ( one old one was broken and the other past its ’sell by date’!) From scaffold erection, solar panel cleaning, bird defence to new installation and removal of old inverters and scaffold removal everything went very smoothly

The Inverter for our solar panels recently failed and we received excellent advice from Nick about a replacement. The work has now been completed and we were very happy with the quality and efficiency of the service from ESS.

I had an issue with my electric meter that wasn’t fitted properly by a previous electrician, which caused ongoing problems and a lot of frustration. Thankfully, After speaking to Nick they came out and quickly rectified the problem. They were professional, and Clean The fix was done efficiently and properly this time, giving me peace of mind. Highly recommended. We used ESS to install solar panels and a Tesla Powerwall. They were able to complete the installation when Octopus Energy would not, with Nick and his team finding solutions to overcome some design challenges. They also went above and beyond to ensure the installation was neat and fitted within existing electrical cabinets, whereas other installers wanted to place equipment in our porch, which would have been unsightly. They have also been very quick to respond to any follow-up questions. In short, ESS provided a friendly, efficient service, and we could not be happier with the result.

ESS installed our domestic in-roof 16 panel solar system and battery system in November 2024. Unlike some competitors who expect you to separately find and arrange scaffolding and roofing work, ESS managed the whole project from start to finish using their own staff and trusted sub-contractors. This included: * scaffolding, * roofing strip, * panel and battery installation, * reroofing, * scaffolding removal, * all related electrical work, * commissioning, certification and documentation, * registration with UK Power Networks, and * payment of all sub-contractors. All we've had to do since is arrange a new generation tariff with the utility company. The price paid was the price agreed at the outset. There were no unexpected extras. We would thoroughly recommend ESS for their professionalism. Everyone working on the project was polite and well informed. The work was undertaken when promised (despite some foul weather) with all contractors arriving and working as and when promised. It's still a bit too early to work out in detail how much we are saving and making, that's going to take a year or so. However, even on dull days in mid winter when the days are short and the sun is lowest the panels generate some power. The battery means we now buy and save cheap power overnight at off peak rates and avoid drawing from the grid at high peak times.

Had a big problem with my solour edge ( well I thought it was) after contacting Nick he quickly came and after an hour or so all was up and running again, what a clever man, saved my bacon anyway.

Excellent service throughout. ESS fitted a PV system on a new extension, they worked well with my builders and were very accommodating with our time scale. They also fitted an Eddi diverter to heat the hot water which is now working well and saving us money. NIck is clearly very knowledgeable on green energy and very helpful. Also a very good team of installers.

Excellent EV Charger install. After being messed around by some other renewable energy companies in Kent I managed to find ESS. OUTSTANDING! - ESS recently removed, then replaced several solar roof panels, during a large extension project that was being undertaken on my property. Then, following a recommendation, they supplied and installed a SUPERB Eddi solar immersion diverter system, which has already started to save me money! All work was carried out in a timely, and highly professional manner, and I could not be more satisfied. Well done guys!

ESS delivered a first class service when installing my long awaited solar PV.I was kept well informed throughout the installation and was able to have some remedial work done to the roof at the same time . All the team were courteous and professional and worked hard to get the system up and running for the weekend (thunderstorms all week!)I would thoroughly recommend ESS if you are serious about Solar. Had a problem with my solar panels feeder meter not working and then found that the original installer no longer trading. Found ESS on goole search and can't recommend them enough. Replaced my feeder meter and advised me on contacting my energy company to register the new meter. Very professional and tidy company

I can wholeheartedly recommend ESS to anyone thinking of installing solar power. This is a REAL alternative energy company, run by people who believe in what they do, are incredibly knowledgeable about the field, and committed to great customer service. I'm a home owner and was looking to get solar panels on my roof. After speaking to several sales reps of various companies, when Nick Arnold of ESS turned up it was a breath of fresh air. Unlike the suited and sometimes smarmy sales reps of the other companies (who had clearly sold all kinds of products before and were just spouting from the glossy publicity of their latest employer), Nick came across immediately as the real deal. He gave straightforward answers and helpful information based on experience, as he actually gets on the roof and does the installation too. My job was particularly fussy as we had extension work going on at the same time (including extra roof space), so Nick and his partner had to return several times to complete the work. They did so without compliant, and customer service since the install has been first class, with several follow-up visits to fine-tune the system. I can say with total sincerity that you won't regret choosing ESS for your solar panel/battery installation.

I would recommend ESS, they are very knowledgeable, friendly and the work is of a high standard. They worked well with our builders and were flexible to fit in with our schedule. They have continued to provide a high level of service post installation. I would definitely use them again in the future.
