Although the situation was frustrating at times, we would like to express our appreciation to Ally from AJ Renewables. He listened to the issues, and this resulted in bringing this matter to a positive conclusion. We are genuinely grateful for the time and attention you dedicated today, and we are pleased that the issue has now been fully resolved. Thank You We obtained three quotes for installing a 10Kw battery to support our existing solar panels. Although AJ Renewables was not the cheapest option, we chose the company based on its strong reputation, including being “Rated Excellent – from over 150 Trustpilot & Google Reviews.” Our initial contact, David, was excellent throughout. He clearly explained the installation process, communicated promptly, and consistently returned our calls within a day. This level of service gave us confidence in proceeding with AJ Renewables. Unfortunately, the battery system failed to operate correctly from late December through most of January due to installation and configuration errors, and communication during this period was very disappointing. While the issues were eventually resolved and a compensation offer was made—and gratefully accepted—we were assured payment by Friday 30 January. Fourteen days later, we have still not received it. Given that we paid our Battery Installation Invoice in full within three working days of installation, we are disappointed that the agreed compensation has not been honoured. We hope someone from AJ Renewables will now resolve this matter and contact us promptly.

Engineers delayed in arriving due to road accident on the way to property but did call to advise. They had a few problems with the cable length but managed to resolve this. Overall happy with the work carried out.

A J Renewableshave been a pleasure to work with. Their price was very competitive and their communication excellent. I cannot fault their quality of work and subsequent cleanliness when they finished the install. Can highly recommend.

The team is excellent. They have a totally rounded approach which is efficient and effective, not just at the designing the right system for you, but also in then liaising, supporting you through the installation and the inevitable learning curve of the exciting possibilities of switching up more to renewables.

The weather played its part making our installation challenging. The guys were very friendly and did an excellent job.

I had booked this company for a Quote. But after reading the 2 one star Reviews, I decided not to. Mainly because they havent bothered replying to either of them. The one that really concerned me most, was the review, where the system has never worked since it was installed, and after customer has paid a lot of money. Knowing my luck, ours probably wouldn't work either. And company could probably just ignore us too.

After doing quite a bit of research and contacting a lot of companies. We decided to go ahead with aJ renewables for our battery installation as we already had solar panels installed. Pretty much every other company tried to upsell claiming we needed more than we would actually be using. With aj there was none of that, no pressure at all. Every was explained in full detail with no frills attached. They were also the best priced too! The guys came out and did the installation and we didn’t even notice they were here. From start to finish the entire experience with them was an absolute pleasure. Ryan in the office was at hand to answer any questions I had, also Sean was brilliant too. Credit where it’s due they were amazing.

Sadly our system was installed this summer and although it has not worked at all, it trips after a moment, no replacement or repairs have happened. Repeated calls have assured me that they will get straight back to me, but I'm still waiting for a single reply. One email was sent to Tesla in October, and there it ends. I paid for a system, it doesn't work, end of story. I'm deeply disappointed, I have had the worst experience with AJ Renewables.

I am afraid to report my parents and I have had a TERRIBLE experience with this company and it’s time it was made public. We have had a complaint rumbling on with them since Jan this year (2025) which has been escalated to their overseeing body – the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC) and to their adjudicator, the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR). CEDR have upheld the complaint as it contravenes RECC/the MCS code and in part AJ’s own contract through: • Misleading my elderly parents to the purchase of a solar battery. • Pressuring them not to cancel during the cooling off period. • Poor customer service, in relation to this a number of events, including the complaint. AJ have been ordered to pay compensation of almost all the cost of the battery. However as suspected they have categorically failed to do this so we are having to take it to another level. The company cannot keep getting away with this, people need to be made aware. An awful experience we would not like anyone else to have to suffer.

Keiran, Shaun and the team did a great job. We had a 12 panel system installed with a 10k battery. It only took 7 hours to install, no mess, and made sure we knew what we were doing with the system before they left. Local company which we preferred. Price very competitive and finally a real neat and tidy job. Well done. Thank you.

We had a new solar hybrid inverter and 3 batteries. An honest no pressure quotation with lots of good info. Fitting had a minor hitch but quickly sorted out, a couple of days later - with the system up and running perfectly now. Speedy and good communication throughout. Thoroughly recommend

AJ Renewables were brilliant. No pushy sales (David, great guy), just honest advice and a variety of options. G99 approval was a bit of a wait but worth it Panels (x18) installed on the Friday afternoon and the electrician (Stephen, also brilliant guy) completed the hook up on Monday and talked us through the app to get system working best, and by Tuesday morning we were fully independent. Next step will be getting export sorted. And would highly recommend to anyone thinking of getting solar/battery system. We will use AJ again when the time comes to increased battery storage/EV charger installation.

AJ renewables, solar and battery installation. What can I say, a first class experience from start to completion, knowledgeable staff who guided Me through the entire process, a neat and tidy installation, and all completed in just over 5 hours. 1st class, highly recommend.

Brilliant installation team, one small thing annoyed me, please don’t promise installation and because you’re so busy delay finishing. I felt sorry for the installation team as they couldn’t complete. I missed two weeks of amazing weather due to this. No discount offered which might have lightened the issue. Communication is paramount, just plan better. Apart from that I would have given 5 stars. Panels look amazing and I’m seeing the benefit.

From the start the staff at AJ Renewables were a pleasure to work with. They are all very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much of a bother to them. The initial design was created around our roof which was not straightforward due to its shape. They were able to work around this, fitting in as many panels as possible. The men who carried out the work were great to have in the house. They worked together as a team effectively and efficiently. They cleared everything up after each day. Not many companies around give you the service AJ Renewables do. Certainly 5 *! Thank you lads.

Great from start to finish, Lee who done the quotes was very knowledgeable. Came in cheaper than the national companies and other local ones. Installers were great work away all day and took pride in their work. Would highly recommend to anyone in Scotland
