2nd Update: Peter is not responding to my email or calls to their office. They agreed to pay for my ceilings but now almost 3 years on still havent paid for then. Im going to contact my insurance company to tey and get this repaired. UPDATE: After posting this review Peter contacted me and siad he would get this done. But now a few months have gone by and he still hasn't sorted things out. Im going to have to goto the MCS to get these fixed. Peter from the fuel effect installed our ASHP in 2019. It been working fine until one morning on the 10th March 2023 at about 3am my wife woke me up saying there water leaking in the loft. I rushing into the loft and quickly realised that was was a massive Leake form the water tank which was installed with the ashp. It was leaking boiling hot water into my loft, I quickly grabbed a plastic storage container and used it to catch some of the boiler water. It left like a steam room in my lift. I turned off the mains water in my kitchen and that stopped the water. I contacted Peter at the fuel effect explaining the dangerous situation with their installation and he got an engineer there the next day. The engineer who came over quickly realised the tank wasn't installed correctly and the presure release value should have a copper pipe connected to it going into a tundish and then connected to the overflow pipe. He correct the issue and apologies for that fact this should have never happend. At the time Peter said they would pay for the repairs to my bedroom ceiling and my corridor ceiling as both had damp stains and started to crack. A few weeks past and the ashp was working correctly, I got a decorator in to quote the ceiling repairs and I emailed Peter and Craig the quote. A few months later I eventually got confirmation from Peter that they would pay for the costs. It has now been 1 year 9months later and I still haven't had the payment to repair my ceilings. I was waiting for this payment so I can proceed with the works with the decorator. I have called the office number and also emailed Peter and Craig multiple times since they agreed to pay for the works and no one has responded to my emails. I would not recommend this company to anyone anymore. They incorrectly installed my new water tank with the ashp and this could have been very dangerous as the water was over 90C as stated on the Presure release values specs. I have now reported this company to the MCS and I'm waiting for their response. I have given them plenty of time to pay for the damages caused, but they just don't care.

Had a heat pump installed late last year and have had a very toasty winter so far. Installation was carried out by friendly engineers who were happy to answer questions and advise.

The Fuel Effect maintain our ASHP system annually. This year the service was carried out by Jack, and I was very happy with the standard of his work and the way in which he communicated what he'd carried out and additional tasks we might consider in the future to maintain our system in peak working order.

The Fuel Effect (TFE) installed our air source heat pump and mechanical heat recovery systems in 2017. They have worked reliably since then. Each year, TFE come and service everything. This year, Jack arrived and did the job for the first time. He was on time, friendly, knowledgeable, and quickly worked out what was what. I am very happy to give him 5 stars.

Jack changed a faulty expansion vessel and combination valve for us last week. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him. He was on time, very polite and competently carried out the work.

We received a service today from the fuel effect on our Panasonic Air source heat pump. Jack arrived on time, explained the process and had the service completed quickly and thoroughly. This was particularly welcome as it is VERY cold today!

The Fuel Effect installed an air source heat pump for me over 10 years ago. I have seldom had problems with it, but when they have occurred their response to my needs has been excellent.

The Fuel Effect installed air-source heat pumps in our Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory Trust buildings. This to replace an ageing oil-fired boiler. This was a big project for us and we could not have been more pleased with the results and the way in which The Fuel Effect assisted us in the project. The staff were knowledgeable, efficient and responsive. We would, without reservation, recommend them for anybody considering the installation of heat pumps.

Great service from people that understand their market that they serve. Peter and Team really know their stuff! Our story in a nutshell, we have built a new house and everyone promises a service to you, most of the people over promise what they can actually do, leaving you to pick up the pieces. After our builders contracting a local Kent company to install our heat pump, you quickly find out what is actually involved, although the plumbers who shall not be named sold/ installed the heat pump and have run the pipework, they did not know how to connect the Daikin monobloc electrically wise (no it's not just an electrician you need). Fast forward 6 months of making phone calls to various companies ranging from other air source suppliers, through to air-conditioning installers, no-one could help us, as they either did not know or didn't want to help as they had not sold it to us, we luckily crossed paths with The Fuel Effect, now within 3 days from first contact, our Daikin heat pump is now wired and starting to warm our house up :) Peter, Pierre and Jack turned up to site and in the blink of an eye have done what many people have failed to do, we cannot thank you enough! We just wish we had found you from the start. If I can give you a personal reference, google Copier King and make contact.

I was initially sceptical about the possibility of a smooth whole system change to using an air source heat pump. I thought something major would have to go wrong - but it didn't. The guys from the Fuel Effect were their every step of the way, super-helpful and we had hot water and heat in no time. Any tiny kinks were ironed out very quickly. I was extremely impressed. Fantastic service and lovely people to work with.

I'm waiting for a call back...no heating because unit does not start...24 hours later I call back again. If I knew that I was booked in for a visit, it would be more acceptable. A few hours after my second call,I was called back. Please to say they pulled out all the stops and an engineer was on site 2 days later. Problem resolved,and unit also had its annual service at same time. Message relay system seemed to be the cause of the delay in communications...this is going to be sorted out.

Fuel Effect recently refitted our aged heat pump system. House is warmer, plenty of hot water and bills appear to be 20-25% lower. Peter knows his stuff, and more than pleased with his company’s efforts. In addition around half the cost of the installation is being recovered under The government’s RHI scheme.

Peter and the team were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and competent throughout. We feel very confident in the installation and product we have, and all is working well. Would definitely recommend and use again.

I know Pete through my work, his business and mine have been on the same projects a number of times and he was also recommended to me so I asked him to work on my self build project. The Fuel Effect supplied and installed UFH, solar and an air source heat pump. On time , on budget, all good !

We can confidently recommend this company. We’d spent 18 months struggling to find competent and reasonable ASHP/renewables professionals. The Fuel Effect did a good job for us in resolving some knotty issues we had been left with from the original installers. They stepped in to fix a complex situation - not only fixed it but they worked credibly and authoritatively on a national level with Daikin's HQ to get us the right answer when others had failed to be as diligent. We can happily recommend and will consider again for both residential and commercial projects.
