App problems

I have been having problems with the GivEnergy app for some time it spent more time off than on,I called Ian (mr solar) he was so helpful he told to make sure my Wi Fi was running on 2.4 ghts it wasn’t it was on 5ghts I changed it to 2.4 Now the app is working again. Thanks again Ian it’s great to know you’re Always there when help is needed

We already had solar panels under the original FIT scheme and recently a friend had had a large installation installed complete with batteries, we weren't sure if adding a battery to our system would be beneficial but Ian explained in detail - we had another company who basically just said yes you'd benefit! - so having this info we were happy to go ahead, the battery was installed in May and has definitely saved us money but more importantly it has giving us flexibility to use the stored electric in the evenings rather then feeling we have to do everything during the free 'sun' time. Have since added a second battery.

Solar energy fault

Excellent diagnosis via the phone and replacement of inverter with in 5 days certainly recommend this company.

Mr Solar brought all the right qualifications and MCS certs to the table. He replaced our failed inverter and was also able to MCS certify our solar installation. So all boxes are now ticked. Thanks.

From the initial survey, advice and quote by Ian - to the updates from Nadine - everything was "spot on", with no hard sell involved at all. The installation and commissioning by Russ and Tom, was efficient and professional in all respects. I recommend Mr Solar!

I know I put a negative comments about Mr solar. Well I spoke to Ian and he told me i was using the power from my panels wrong so now he after explaining the issue I have nothing but good things about the solar panels.

Three persons I would like to thank, firstly is Ian that gave me a competitive quote, secondly to Nadine who arranged a site survey and any other communications required and to Russ the electrician who installed the battery. The process from start to finish was only 9 days, getting the quote to installation of the battery. Great service. Russ who fitted the battery was excellent and his workmanship was of a great standard, he is a credit to your company Mr Solar. I would recommend this company to other's.

Mr Solar defined and installed a great set-up for our bungalow. We have solar panels, an inverter and a battery. The design meets our needs to provide us with more than enough free electricity for our domestic needs. We are currenly selling the excess back to our supplier, and have an expectation that we won't have to pay for electric again as this will be covered either direct from the solar panels or from the income they generate. We only use gas for heating and hot water, and are looking at options to get rid of them (not with an air source heat pump), and we're also considering an electric car now that we know we have more than enough electric. Mr Solar did a great job with the design and installation was quicker than we expected having altready spoken to some other suppliers. Also Mr Solar were very helpful in supplying what we needed to get the DNO connection established so that we could sell back the excess. We will probably use again for the car charger, as we've been happy with the cost and the delivery timeframes for existing work.

It is now a year since we had our solar panels and batteries fitted - very helpful and knowledgeable service from the first visit to the end of the installation. Just had to ask for advice as we changed our internet router (and needed to change the connection on the inverter) and Ian was very patient and helpful. Would recommend Mr Solar.

From first contact to completion Mr solar has been 1st class. I needed to know in a hurry whether my roof would be suitable for solar .Due to other company's letting me down.Ian visited me the next day and gave me all the info I needed and a quote by the end of the day for 14 panels and Tesla battery.All of the work was completed to a high standard and the tradesmen have been very helpful and polite.I would highly recommend Mr solar for anybody thinking off going solar.

First class job

Extremely pleased from start to finish. Ian was very informative about the complete installation with no pressure whatsoever. Charlie and Alistair the installers worked extremely hard and left our home as they found it. Russ the electrician fitted inverter,batteries and wiring neatly. extremely knowledgeable about products, did not pressure a sell, spent a lot of time going through options and answering a lot of questions. On pricing came in under other quotations who when hearing who I was going with then dropped their prices to match. this action said a lot. Followup service was prompt and helpful esp when it cam to using the app etc..

I contacted Mr Solar pv for a quote to install a solar system on my bungalow. The quote was very competitive compared to my other enquiries which prompted me to up my game and go for a storage system which again was very competivly priced. My system was installed on time and I was surprised at just how much work was involved doing all the electrical stuff. Our electrician was first class, being both pleasant and very technically skilled. On completion I noticed how neat and tidy the install was all tucked away in the roof space. All the information I require is on an app on my phone, so I dont need to visit the roof space to see whats happening. I am very happy with my dealings with Mr Solar PV , and more importantly Im confident that their customer service is as good as it should be. Contact was excellent at all times and I felt like I was valued as a customer. Would I use them again? you bet I would. As a follow up, I have now upgraded my capture and storage capacity to 10kw. I was offered a substantial discount on the battery price during an Autumn sale. Its all now been fitted and working. All I need is some sun. The fitter Russ, was super tidy, and caused no disruption at all. I am very pleased that I stuck with Mr Solar again as everything has been done to my satisfaction. If you want a very reasonable quote and excellent service, then I do urge anyone to contact Mr Solar. You wont be disappointed.

Excellent professional solar provider. Ian and his team provided good technical advice and brilliant service and communication from start to finish for my solar installation. No hard sell like some other providers and Mr Solar offer a wide range of different manufacturers equipment making them very flexible to your needs. I wanted a GivEnergy system as I had had good reports from a friend. Mr Solar provided exactly what I asked for and the installation was carried out in a professional and timely manner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I had a new inverter fitted

I had a new inverter fitted last November as the old one failed on one bank. Rang Mr Solar. He came round within 48 hours and diagnosed the problem and gave us a good price for a new inverter which was fitted within a matter of a couple of days. Some weeks later I had a battery fitted. Now I have another battery as well. Ian and his team our very polite and with no hard sell tactics. Now thinking of anorher battery giving me three in total. Mr Solar (Ian) will be looking after my system from now on.

Overall the installation was good, however the scaffolding company was a nightmare, damaging plants and leaving scaffolding in place long after the installation was finished. Also arriving on a Sunday when not scheduled to do so. Still waiting for link to export.

My solar panels, installed by another company were not working and there were complications. From the first phone call, and prompt response, service has been exemplary, with efforts made to resolve the problems as efficiently and economically as possible. Every step of the way was explained carefully and fully and the friendly and professional yeam cannot be faulted. Thank you to the entire 'Mr Solar' team; I cannot recommend them highly enough. Brilliant, outstanding, exemplary service - look no futher!

We were very pleased with Mr Solar's company. The electricians and roofers were very polite, diligent and tidy. They discussed the work in advance and kept us up to date as they went along. They worked in all weathers to keep the job on time. The equipment was upgraded to a higher spec battery & inverter at no extra cost and the panels were among the highest power and efficiency available. They are a local company and I would recommend them.

Mr Solar: knowledgeable, reliable and efficient.

We had a system installed by Mr Solar and his team, in early September, comprising 20 panels and 9.5kWh battery plus sundry materials. Installed within two days, scaffolding up for a few more. The price was £3.6k less than a main electricity provider. The quote process was quick and efficient; Ian visited to discuss the solution, which was followed up with an electrician's survey immediately after we decided to proceed. Nadine liaised closely concerning delivery/installation dates. Our initial enquiry was made on 5th August, received quote and gave instruction to proceed on 12th August, installation completed on 4th September. Can't fault the installers: electrician Russ and roofer Luke plus his team. They are all really nice, respectful, professional blokes who did a very neat job. We're really pleased with our solar installation, and actively monitor the GivEnergy app to check the status. Also, it's nice to know that we will have the technical support of Ian (Mr Solar) if we ever need it. We would highly recommend.

Solar Inverter install

Our solar inverter packed up working after 9 years. Solis the manufacturer did not seem interested in helping so contacted Mr solar pv they arranged for a new unit and an electrician to install it, very helpful clean tidy and polite, will would be very happy to use again.

Give these guys a miss.....

Placed an order for some panels on their website and paid, had all the conformation emails but heard nothing more. Chased up nearly a week later to see what was happening and originally told my order didn't exist! When they did find it, all I got was a refund and a fairy tale that despite the website showing 100s in stock, they where all broken and they couldn't find 9 good ones for my order. Yeah - whatever. Usual online jokers advertising stock they don't have. Created a costly problem for ourselves and no interest in sorting out their mistake. There are plenty of excellent solar equipment providers out there - Mr Solar is not one of them........ GivEnergy system installed to a very high standard

Just had a GivEnergy system installed by Mr Solar and I'm very impressed. Everything from initial discussions with Ian about what I thought I needed and his recommendations, to the survey, quotation and install were handled quickly and professionally. Communication was excellent with Ian's team keeping me up to date and well informed throughout the process and the installation carried out by Russ, Luke and Ash is very neat and unobtrusive. I'm now checking my GivEnergy app every 5 mins and marvelling at how little I'm relying on grid energy. Thanks for dragging me into the 21st century.

Excellent Service Realised my solar…

Excellent Service Realised my solar panels were not working at the weekend and contacted Mr Solar. They gave me really good advice and various options all at a competitive price. I advised I was going on holiday soon and they went over and above expectations to replace my inverter before I went away. The electrician took time to ensure the meter was fitted and collaborated before leaving and downloaded the app on my phone and demonstrated how to use the features. Quality system at a good price

I purchased an integrated 16 panel solar Pv system, with Givenergy 9.5Kw battery and associated Givenergy components. I found the whole experience from the initial visit by Ian, to the system commissioning, to be all I could have expected. I was very pleased with the advice and information provided by Ian, prior to ordering. I also found the care and attention to detail, from the installation team to be very reassuring. I was completely satisfied with the system, the installation and the high level of customer service provided to ensure the system I purchased was appropriate for my needs. Overall a very satisfying 5 star experience, and I would recommend Mr Solar (and the Givenegy system).

Mr solar upgraded the system on our new…

Mr solar upgraded the system on our new build. An extra 6 panels were installed, and a battery system in the loft. A few months later we had him install another battery so we can charge over night when electricity is cheaper on top of the charge we get from the sun. We now have much cheaper bills than most people and we are also charging an EV.

replaced a faulty inverter in a very awkward loft. did a sterling job, the guys were friendly and helpful, and tha lady in the office couldn't have helped more. Would thoroughly recommend.

Wanted to use a local company for our install and was pleased to find Mr Solar in Gorleston, Ian was very quick to organise a visit, answered all my questions in detail and created two system quotes for our needs. After deciding to go ahead installation was within a very quick time frame , installers were polite, accommodating and did their best for our personal situation, so far pleased with the system and the support offered by Mr Solar, there is a little or lot to learn about these systems depending on your depth of interest and this will be a long term investment with regular contact and support required to modify and maintain with the changing seasons. So far so good, nice to experience good service locally.

We are five months into our installation and are very impressed with how the system is working for us. The installers were very efficient and went the extra mile yo overcome some minor issues with the solar panel locations on the roof. We are now exporting back to the grid and our energy supplier is now calling us as essentially self sufficient over the summer months and with cheap overnight electricity on our current tariff we should see minimal electricity charges over winter, obviously still having a standing charge but our electric usage will be at the cheap rate charging the batteries overnight for daytime use. Very happy with the support given by Ian at Mr Solar as well. I reckon that my return on investment will be much quicker than that quoted by the company. Good choice to go solar with Mr Solar.

The "Mr Solar" team arrived with the correct inverter on the day and time arranged for fitting the new item. The two electricians doing the work were courteous, polite, hard working and very knowledgeable about all aspects of my inverter and solar panel system. They did not finish until everything, including my Owl monitoring system, was working correctly. The Cost was held to the original quote. I would definitely use this contractor again.
