★★★★★ I honestly couldn’t be happier with my recent solar installation. From start to finish, the whole experience was smooth, easy, and genuinely enjoyable — which isn’t something I expected to say about getting solar panels fitted! Before choosing a company, I did a lot of research and spoke to plenty of different installers. It quickly became clear that there are some very questionable companies in the solar game — lots of pushy sales tactics, vague answers, and things that just didn’t sit right. That’s exactly why Steve stood out so much. He was a complete breath of fresh air. No hard sell, no waffle — just straight, honest, knowledgeable advice. He clearly knows his craft inside out and took the time to explain everything properly without making it feel overwhelming. He organised the whole project seamlessly and made sure everything ran exactly as it should. I went ahead with a 16-panel system along with a 12 kW battery, and the results have been spot on. Everything looks incredibly neat and well thought out, and you can tell real care went into the work rather than it just being “another job.” The installation itself was carried out by Shaun, and he was on exactly the same level. Professional, skilled, calm, and clearly proud of his work. Between the two of them, the whole thing felt effortless. I’ll also admit I threw a few curveballs into the mix during the installation — a couple of last-minute changes and questions that they would’ve been totally justified in being a bit frustrated about. But to their credit, they took everything completely in their stride. No stress, no attitude — just solutions. They adapted without fuss and still delivered an excellent end result. All in all, it’s been a genuine five-star experience. A great system, beautifully installed, and top-class service from start to finish. After all the research I did, I can say with total confidence that choosing this company was absolutely the right decision. Highly recommended.

After comparing several local quotes, we chose Bright Sky Solar for our PV and battery installation, and we couldn’t be happier. Even though Bright Sky wasn't one of the cheapest but Steve’s expertise and knowledge of the industry gave us the confidence to choose this company for our install. The entire process was straightforward, and the system was tailored perfectly to our needs. The installation team were friendly, professional, and left everything spotless. From start to finish, the experience was seamless. We received the Handover Pack a few days later which detailed all the certificates, warranties and building compliance certificates. Steve readily replied to queries asap and came round to discuss things in person when a call would have probably sufficed . Found Bright Sky Solar via the which trusted traders list for Solar, and had a great experience from start to finish. Steve's approach is no pressure sales, just all the guidance and information required to make an informed decision (and answering my many many questions patiently). Installation of solar plus battery was super quick from decision through to fully installed, and the installers did a really tidy and efficient job. All working and powering the house - just waiting on the energy company to pull their finger out and start to pay me now!

We were impressed by Steve when we first met him. He spent a generous amount of time with us answering our questions and explaining our options very clearly. We received a quote from another supplier, but chose to accept the quote from Steve because he was knowledgeable and approachable. The installation was completed in a day with the minimum amount of disruption to us. Steve arranged the scaffolding and checked the materials when they were delivered. We were kept informed either by email or text message at every stage, and all the completion documents have been emailed to us as promised. We have been very impressed by Steve and his team and would not hesitate to recommend his company, Bright Sky Solar.

We have had a 10Kw Solar Array for a number of years and wished to add Battery Storage. We selected Bright Sky to supply two EP11 batteries with a 6Kw Inverter. From my very first communication with them we have found them very helpful and willing to go the extra mile for a non-standard installation. (We needed to limit the overnight charging rate due to other high use electrical appliances). The permissions from DNO were quickly sorted and they gave fantastic advice on finding a better energy deal. The installation was carried out with ease and minimal disruption. Unfortunately the supplied MCB was faulty from the manufacturer (no fault of Bight Skys) but again they were more than accommodating and quickly replaced it. The system has now been working for a week and we now only buy electricity at night (saving over 18p/kw) and we can export excess Solar for more than we are buying electricity for. We would highly recommend this company.

From the initial conversation with Steve (company director) I was very impressed with his understanding of solar systems. He was able to provide an initial scheme of panels, battery and inverter. Using this as a starting point we fine tuned the system based on our requirements and budget. We finally arrived at 16 PV panels a 6Kwh inverter and 5Kwh battery. Installation took place within 7 days and the whole process was completed in a very timely manner. The team who installed the system were friendly and knowledgeable taking under 2 days to fully implement and commission the system. Throughout the process Steve was very helpful and attentive. He helped with the initial delivery when we stored everything in the garage taking away pallets and packaging. Furthermore he called in when the team were installing the system checking that everything was in order and I was happy with progress. We are 5 days in since the system went live and checking the data from the App thus far I have produced more electricity than has been used… with the surplus going back to the Grid. I await a final document from the DNO ( electricity supplier) and then can change tariff to access payment for the excess supply. Overall I would highly recommend Bright Sky Solar, brilliant service..

We found this contractor to be personable and reliable. We had specific requirements re the location of equipment and wiring routes, the contractor listened to our requests and accommodated them. The booking process was simple and the team turned up on the day that had been booked. The team worked diligently and professionally. They were focused on getting the job done and doing it properly. On completion of the project, the administration paperwork followed promptly. Building Regulation certification and other certifications required by the energy company all arrived within days. We are extremely happy with the completed work

Brightsky have carried out several installations over the past few years for me, starting with a GivEnergy Battery in 2021, Solar Panels in 2022 and an additional battery in 2024. All work has been carried out professionally and within agreed timescales, and the site left clean and tidy upon completion of the work. We were looking to install solar panels and possibly a battery for our home. Following discussions with a number of local companies we decided on Bright Sky Solar run by Steve Howie. His company was local to us in Poole. We had a number of conversations with Steve on site about what we wanted and he proposed a solar panel and battery package together with relevant inverters and electrical fitting. Steve took time to explain how everything worked and what sort of results we could achieve from the system. We agreed a start date and time, with the work taking two days in total. We were very impressed with the electrician Shaun who was very meticulous about his work and even managed to fit some of the electrical connection in a very tight space. After considering Solar for several years we finally decided to have both Solar PV and a Home Battery installed and after contacting several installers we decided to go with local company Bright Sky Solar. I already had an idea as to what I would like the system to do, and after several discussions with owner Steve he came up with a proposal that took full account of what was possible with our layout and would provide the best combination of both system performance and value. After signing the contract the work commenced on the arranged day with the installatiom team keeping any disruption to the minimum, tidying up as they went along and clearing everything away at the end of the day. Once the work was completed and the system commissioned we received a comprehensive " Handover Pack " with all the necessary test certificates, permissions and system information. We're very pleased indeed with how the system has been performing, we've already seen significant savings in our energy costs and the home battery has allowed use to shift consumption and take advantage of off peak rates.

Supply and Fit Tesla Powerwall 2 and Gateway Bright Sky supplied and fitted our solar panel array in 2014 and we were very pleased with the work carried out. It was therefore an easy decision to include them for the Tesla Powerwall quotations. We had 4 quotations from Tesla recommended companies and Steve (Bright Sky Solar) responded very quickly. He arranged to visit and survey the site and made recommendations on where to install and any other requirements. Steve was the only one who asked to visit, the others requested photos of the proposed installation position. We received the quotations which varied in cost. Steve was not the cheapest, but in the middle of costings. We decided that as we were happy with the previous installation his company should get the job. It was arranged for them to install the Powerwall on 26 March. They said they would arrive at 8am and it would take less than a day to fit. The workmen arrived on the day on time, and explained to us what work they would do and when the power shutdown would occur and for how long (less than an hour). They were very neat with the installation and managed to successfully install the equipment in a smaller than expected area. They made sure that the area was left clean and tidy. They also installed the Tesla app on our mobile and explained how it worked. Overall an easy company to deal with, very helpful, clean and tidy workmanship. The final cost was as per quotation.
