Solarsense installed the PV system on our roof. They were very professional from start to finish with a comprehensive quote, specifying savings. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently and we are very pleased with the result. We thoroughly recommend them.

We have used Solarsense twice now having installed solar panels on both sides of the office building. Most recently in April 2025. On both occasions the works were conducted in a professional, clean and efficient manner. The team were very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Solarsense have recently installed a domestic PV and battery system at my house. The process from sale to completion was flawless. Good communication, the quality of work was good and the install team were particularly likeable.

Really happy with these guys, their installation team came on time, they were knowledgeable, well-presented and polite, and got the job done quickly and cleanly. Now I am generating lots of clean energy to power my hot tub for free! Highly recommend A+++ Additional: Your engineer came to fit bird proofing mesh and did a great job and now the pigeons are nesting on my neighbours roof instead! A+++

FIRST RATE SOLAR PANEL SUPPLIERS

Our solar panels installation was done superbly - quiet, quick and very professional. We later had to have the roof retiled, so the panels had to be removed then sadly the roofers messed up the panels refit badly but Solarsense was extremely helpful and efficient sorting the restoration problems. We were very impressed and thankful.

I had issues with my solar and it kept shorting out so I paid for Solarsense to fault find, they did this and it was recommended that my inverter was dead. It then took 4 weeks for some contact (after numerous calls and emails)and their Director of Engineering Chris Catterall convinced me that it was the board not the inverter and changing the board meant we could get a few more years out of the Inverter. I arranged for the board to be changed only to find not only was the inverter dead but it was under warranty and no one had told me so we could have got the board and inverter changed at the same time. I then waited another 4 weeks for the inverter to be changed which only lasted 30 minutes as they had given me someone else's inverter so they took it out and replaced it 3 weeks later. The whole process took 3.5 months and it cost me £400 of increased electric usage plus no feed in tariff. In the whole process they never told me when they were turning up they just arrived and luckily we were in, the company is a shambles and customer service is non existent. The solar market is extremely competitive so do yourself a favour and go elsewhere so you wont go through the pain I have. Reading other reviews it seems like my ordeal is not a one off.

Such a shame for a local company to act…

Such a shame for a local company to act so badly. We have a ground source heat pump with solar installed by solarsense at great expense. When a fault occurred we chased and chased with several promises of call backs that never happened. Finally I received a response that the next available slot to investigate the issue was in a months time at a cost of over £250 plus vat (just to turn up). Not once did they ask about the issue or even what had happened. Instead I rang Kensa (the manufacturer) who worked with me to resolve it over the phone. They were great. Kensa stated they would expect more from their partner installers too. Looking at the limited reviews I see that customer service is a real issue for this company. Stay protected, stay warm and go elsewhere to a company that values you.

Honourable Business

I engaged SolarSense-UK to perform a service of my solar thermal panels, in October 2021. The engineer was very polite, tidy, and completed the job - within thirty minutes - and charged £230 - not cheap. The system did not function over the winter months, and on the first sunny few days in March 2022, the system flashed up with an error. SolarSense did not initially return calls or emails, and I engaged a different engineer, who analysed the system and determined that during the service, the flow valve had been left closed. When I contacted SolarSense, they initially declined to help, stating that too much time had passed - but on reflection they sent the original engineer, who worked out the issue and rectified it on a complimentary basis. Completely honourable and excellent.

Solar sense fitted panels & battery for me and I could not be more happy. The engineers that did the install were polite, professional & efficient. Orginally the battery was planned to go in the hall which I felt wouldn't work due to type of wall but Tom from Solarsense worked with me so we could come up with a location we were both happy with, which we did, super patient and understanding of my concerns. When completed the work was perfect, neat & tidy trunking , everything put back in place and areas tidied. I have dealt with loads of tradesman and the guys from Solarsense were absolutely excellent and very resprctful of my home. From the survey thru to completion, Solarsenses service was 1st class, highly recommended.

After a "salesman" visited our property we received a quote for both solar and battery. Deciding to go with both solar & battery we paid a £2,100 deposit in September. Today 11/11/2021 the scaffold team arrived ready for installation to start tomorrow. They informed us they had been given incorrect information, only 1 flight height, not double (up to the roof) and that access did not have to come through the house. They also said they could not install scaffolding on decking, remember a member of the Solarsense team had already visited our property. Solarsense then contacted us to say they could not install the system and would refund our deposit, no alternate solution or proposal offered.

The whole team have been friendly, hardworking and efficient. We are so pleased with our solar thermal installation, the guys worked so efficiently even with the bitter freezing weather, and the workmanship is very tidy. We’re so happy and will use Solar Sense for any future projects we consider.

We used Solarsense to instal solar thermal panels using the Government voucher scheme. The whole team is is very responsive, and reliable. The work was excellent headed by Alex who had to think through a number of different issues that came up prior to and during the installation. He put a lot of time and thought into our project and it worked out well. The team are very nice and work well together. Thank you

Installation was a dream: super friendly team - very fast and efficient; really listened to any concerns. Sales process was a bit difficult: make sure your panel design is correct and the shade calculations are spot on to avoid disappointment. After-sales could be a little better - several emails went unanswered, but they were super busy at the time. All in all, this a a good company with really decent people working there who want the best for your installation.

I highly recommend the crew at Solar Sense who made what could have been a complicated process easy and straightforward. Yes there are forms to complete if you want to claim a grant but they helped with these and were relaxed and professional throughout. Their installation team worked wonders in February wind and rain and even fixed a leak on our roof while they were at it. The overall cost was surprisingly low and for anyone who is likely to use a large proportion of the electricity that is generated a sensible option as well as helping everyone by producing green energy.

Really good company. They installed solar panels in our conference building and was done on time to a very sensible price. Tim Cook from Solarsense was fantastic throughout right from when we looked into solar panels to implementation and beyond. They finished the install ahead of time and kept in constant touch with our reception staff to make sure they were not affecting any of the events we run from our venue. They also gave us great aftercare.
