5 stars for a great company

We spoke to a few different solar panel providers and got different estimates. Joju came recommended to us by a friend and once we spoke to them we never looked back. They gave us a competitive price, were excellent at communicating the whole way through and fitted the panels on team with a team of fitters who could not have been more friendly and helpful. Our panels have been up and running for a month now and we are still pleased with the whole experience. We are 100% satisfied and always happy to recommend Joju as a result!

Engagement with Joju Solar

I first engaged with Joju Solar in February 2023 when I had solar panels installed at my house in London. As it faced directly east-west I was able to benefit from panels fixed on both the front and back of the roof, seven each side making 14 in total. Being a sole occupier and thus a low user of energy I decided at that time not to opt for a battery. Although that meant that at certain times of the day I was dependent upon drawing power from the Grid, overall the income that I generated over a year from the sale of surplus solar power exceeded that charged to me by my provider for electricity supplied when my requirements could not be covered by the solar panels. The system provided by Joju Solar proved to be very cost effective. In early 2025 I moved from London to the north of England. My experience with the solar panels at my London home informed my decision to have them installed at my new home. My very positive experience with Joju Solar back in 2023 made this Company my first choice to advise on, plan and install the system. I am delighted to say that my confidence in my choice of installer was fully justified. My experience from the initial survey stage, through planning, to installation was a pleasurable experience. The new house also faces east-west, so I opted once again for panels on each side, but was able to accommodate ten on each slope making 20 in total. I also decided this time to have a battery. Although the new installation was much larger and included a battery, the overall cost was not significantly higher than the system I had installed in London in 2023. This was largely reflected in a dramatic reduction in the cost of batteries, and the removal of VAT on both batteries and panels. Since the new system was commissioned in early August I have been entirely self-sufficient in electricity, and a healthy surplus has been exported to the Grid. As the days shorten the daily surplus is expected to reduce. It is too early to predict an average return for a year, but on present performance I anticipate being self-sufficient throughout the annual cycle. So far as the installation is concerned, JoJu Solar’s teams worked with consideration and courtesy. I was able to liaise with a project co-ordinator who took personal responsibility for the management of the installation from beginning to end. The installation team fulfilled al their obligations in relation to time and the quality of the workmanship was excellent. Questions were answered both courteously and in detail. I have no hesitation in recommending JoJU Solar.

Absolutely brilliant. Faultless service. So lovely to deal with

We had our solar system installed by another provider and we sat waiting for no help for 4 months. I contacted Joju who had us up and running within 24 hours. We lost 4 months of delicious solar energy but I am so impressed with the professional service we got from Joju. Delightful to deal with and they really knew their stuff. Thoroughly recommended!!!

Really professional experts

It has been six months since our installation with Joju, and we have nothing but praise for them. We took out time to decide on what we wanted but they never rushed us and we're really pleased with the results. They were professional throughout the design and installation and thus far it has all gone well. The aftercare has been good and we would have no reservations about recommending them.

Excellent advice and communication throughout the project. All aspects well managed, deliveries and execution all on time and to schedule. Full and complete handover with all documents and guarantees. Staff and contractors were friendly and helpful leaving the site tidy and all waste removed.

Second time using Joju

Second time we have used Joju. First was for the initial solar and battery install, and was very happy with the process and the final results. So when our pre-existing EV charger was playing up, it made a lot of sense to back to Joju to have them install a replacement and get it fully integrated into the system. Installer (Adam) was very contentious and personable, and kept power down-time to an absolute minimum. Respected our time and property, and install was clean, professional, and am very happy with the result. Doubt we will use them again, as hard to see what else we could add, but will certainly (and have) recommend them to other people wanting a solar install.

Poor or non existent maintenance support

JoJu are very happy to take your money for a solar installation but if things go wrong as they have with my Solax batteries and inverter on a couple of occasions it is next to impossible to get them to respond and resolve. There is no point in installing an expensive system if you won’t stand behind your installation work. I’m still waiting for them to resolve a second issue with my inverter and batteries and despite constant chasing - still no resolution I’m afraid

I recently had the pleasure of working with Joju Solar to install a solar energy system at my property, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the outcome. The system comprises 19 Aiko 470W panels and a Tesla Powerwall 3, installed across three aspects of my house and atop my garden office. From the very beginning, the project was handled with exceptional professionalism and expertise. I was particularly impressed by the proactive approach of Asha Ponsford-Maguire, who visited my property on very short notice. She spent several hours meticulously measuring and checking everything before I was even committed to anything. This level of dedication stood in stark contrast to other companies that provided generic quotes based on computer simulations and pressured me to make a quick decision. Joju Solar truly cares about its customers. While some companies seemed uninterested in listening to specific requirements, offering only “cookie-cutter” solutions lacking attention to detail, Joju took the time to design and implement a system truly bespoke to my property. This personalised approach makes perfect sense, as each property has unique characteristics that should be considered. Special thanks to technical lead Adam Butler and every member of the installation crew. The technical challenges, particularly installing panels on the garden office and routing cables through the entire garden, were managed flawlessly. Their craftsmanship and dedication to excellence were evident throughout the project, making the experience refreshing in an industry where such commitment is increasingly rare. The Tesla Powerwall 3 has proved to be an excellent choice, offering simplicity and high efficiency without the need for additional inverters. Its built-in hybrid inverter serves as the central hub for all DC and AC conversions, providing ample capacity for future expansion. The Aiko panels have also exceeded expectations with their high efficiency and impressive shade handling, making them a perfect fit for my setup. None of this would have been possible without the exceptional planning and organisation led by project manager Ben Smith. The complex logistics, including scaffolding and scheduling, were managed seamlessly, resulting in a smooth and efficient progression. The carefully planned milestones, checkpoints, and dynamic adjustments throughout the project made the entire experience stress-free. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed by Joju Solar’s expertise, professionalism, and commitment to customer satisfaction. They provide bespoke solutions tailored to individual needs, setting them apart from others in the industry. I highly recommend them to anyone considering a solar installation.

Amazing after sales service

I had solar panels with a Tesla Battery installed about 12 month ago and this was installed without any hitches and has been working excellently ever since. Octopus who are my energy supplier have recently introduced a Flux tariff which I decided to take advantage of. To set it up I contacted Joju and Ben Smith a Senior Project Manager took me through it step by step. Being over 70 technology is somewhat of a challenge but Ben was very patient and with minimum fuss I have now got the system working with the new tariff. What amazing after sales service by Joju Solar.

Working with Joju on the installation of our solar system was easy. From the start, their designer was knowledgeable and professional. Our project manager and installation team were also highly professional and efficient. They were responsive to our needs and communication was excellent throughout. Joju Solar worked with my wish list and presented the practical answer. Able to answer all technical questions. Their Project Manager then worked with us enabling late specification changes to be achieved. From start to finish we knew where we were and what was possible. All the roofers and electricians took pride in their work. Tidy and considerate, they worked hard to get the job done, with care and to a high standard. The system working as expected. Couldn't ask for a better installer. Thank you.

Joju took on my project when others turned it down

Joju took on my project when 3 other companies had turned it down, because of shading and roof pitch. It's working a treat and outperforming my main south facing roof.

Recommended great products that give me control over my energy. 2. clear costings and great communication. 3. excellent installers and responsive to all my basic questions. 4. Very competent, knowledgeable and instilled confidence for quite a big investment.

Pleasant and caring staff

Pleasant and caring staff. They explained every stage and ensured that I understood. The work was carried out promptly and to time. It looks good. Everything was done as efficiently as in 2011. Those solar panels are still working effectively. Joju seems a reliable company. I'm pleased with them.

May 2024 had a 2nd Powerwall installed and upgraded to the Gateway 2 from 1. From start to finish everyone involved was knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Dec 2018: Very helpful and knowledgeable company. Installed a Tesla Powerwall 2 into our existing PV installation, plus a Zappi charger. Very neat, tidy and well supported installation.

Joju installed solar on my pitched and flat roofs. They listened carefully to the goals of my project (house rebuild) and proposed 2 possible solar configurations. They were easy to work with and the panels look great. I can't wait to activate them in the next few days!

To continue receiving our feed in tariff payments, we needed an updated schematic of our solar installation after we added a Tesla storage battery. Our feed in tariff licensee suspended our payments until we supplied the full system schematic. Our battery supplier wouldn't help us with this as they didn't supply the solar panels after much discussion with them, we contacted Joju Solar who had fitted our panels some years prior to the battery installation. We spoke with Ben of the Maintenance team. Ben married the original JoJu panel installation schematic with the one that the battery supplier gave us of the battery installation. We submitted the new full system schematic to feed in tariff licensee who accepted it and our feed in tariff payments are now restored. Excellent service from Ben and the team at JoJu Solar. Once we spoke to Ben, the whole thing was resolved within a few days. Joju got us out of a difficult situation that had caused much irritation while trying to deal with the battery suppliers over the preceding three months. Can't thank JoJu enough

Joju are a superb team, helped hugely with initial planning (different options), great communication, very smooth installation, excellent follow up since installation. Was very impressed by everyone we interacted with (Asha, Ben, Leigh, Adam). We knew nothing and they really helped us, making it easy and painless. My only tip is try to find out (or ask) more about how modern variable energy tariffs work - the cheaper energy at night / higher export in evening can make getting a bigger battery worthwhile, which we didn't realise till too late.

Recently I had a problem the mounting of my battery, which caused the battery to slip and disconnect. No damage to the battery, but new connector were required. I called Joju maintenance, they were immediacy on the case. A technician arrived straight away, assessed the problem, the parts were order from Germany and the problem was fixed in time. All covered under warranty. Exemplary service, I could not have wished for better.

Joju have completed 3 solar PV + battery projects for us and are completing 3 further such installs in the next few weeks. They aren't the cheapest but they are very knowledgable and complete the installs to a high standard. The systems have all performed reliably and have met or exceeded our expectations.

Excellent service throughout. It's thirteen days since the Powerwall was installed, and we haven't used any grid electricity since then. None. Every member of staff, both office and at installation were people I would be glad to have as friends, and I don't say that lightly.

Joju designed and installed a 22kW PV system for our office block in Carterton. The whole project ran without a hitch and we are really happy with the finished article. Thanks to everyone at Joju, especially Ed.

We used Joju Solar to install solar panels, 2 Tesla batteries and a Tesla Gateway for us. They did an amazing job from start to finish. Such a lovely company to deal with and very passionate about what they do. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them . Very knowledgeable as well with a very informative website which is continually updated. Wonderful to deal with such a friendly company that had answers to all my questions.

JoJu solar recently installed 11.2kWp of solar on my roof, and two tesla powerwall batteries. Our aim was to cover off our consumption of electricity in the summer, and reduce it in the winter, with a high summer usage due to a hot tub we run May to September. With an idea of some additional production to be able to operate EV in the future. JoJu were one of 4 firms we had quote, and they weren’t the cheapest, but they quickly understood our needs, they understood what we wanted to do, they didn’t make assumptions and get cookie cutter products out and try and sell them to us, we had one supplier obsessed with our “high summer usage” and how that was unusual, JoJu just got on with it and worked with us. We worked together to design a system that meant we could make maximum use of our produced solar, but also could cope with storing the potential levels of Solar, due to the house having roofs facing mostly east and west we couldn’t have loads of panels facing south, so went with having panels on both roofs, something that came about with an onsite survey, JoJu’s technical chap that came to site looked at the roof, looked at where the sun landed, looked at the existing electrical supply, and made useful suggestions – they were the only people that came to site and looked at the existing electrics! Our system is designed with growth in mind, we’ve got a 10kWp inverter, we’ve got the extra DC cables in the roof and we’ve got a design for adding additional panels to the garage, small bits of thought now which will save a lot of headaches for us and them in the future! We’ve got 2 powerwalls so we can absorb all the power from solar into the batteries, we can turn on the oven, the dish washer, the kettle all at once and not end up pulling from the grid as we’ve gone over the output of a single powerwall, the powerwall inverters can deliver it all – and giving us options to load shift in the winter and make use of products like octopus agile. JoJu showed their knowledge in their recommendations, they offered different products and explained the benefits of each, they helped us make decisions for the right reason between cost, features and look. Most importantly they kept us up to date all the way along the process, always happy to explain if we had questions. Their roofers and electricians did a great job, they were tidy, they were knowledgeable, they worked hard, they got the job done and they took pride in what they did, they worked out solutions to problems along the way, and we’ve come out of it with a very tidy install that looks very aesthetically pleasing. I wouldn’t hesitate but to recommend JoJu Solar, they have been a pleasure to work with, we will be back to look at additional panels and EV chargers in the future with them.

Having had PV panels for nearly 8 years and seeing advances in battery storage we finally decided to take the plunge. After much research we contacted Tesla who in one of their communications sent a link to the 'Fully Charged' podcast by Robert Llewelyn. We were highly impressed with the installation and found that it was done by JoJu Solar who also happened to have offices nearby. Initial contact with JoJu was good - they sent us lots of information and an indication of cost. A site survey was arranged to retro-fit a Powerwall2 (without backup since we had not experienced a power outage for over 10 years). After signing the contract we had to wait for the Distribution Network Operators' permission which took over 8 weeks. Once we had received this a mutually convenient date was agreed for the installation and JoJu fitted around my busy schedule. Installation was neat and done efficiently. It was completed over 2 days. The installers experienced a few problems with the network link during commissioning but they eventually overcame this. Before departing everything was tidied up and left clean then they explained the system and how the Tesla app worked.. The unit has now been operating for over 3 weeks and I am happy to report that to date we have not drawn any power from the grid. Long may it continue. Thank you JoJu Solar for a job well done.

I found them very helpful and informative. We were briefed about the process, costs and next steps. The install was very clean and tidy and the rep from Juju was very knowledgeable on the product. The aftercare has been very good also.
