Excellent all round... from initial design options, the installation, through to final handover. I had done a little background research but the whole process was explained clearly with projections and details of the installation components. The system is running well with no hiccups, and any email requests were handled very promptly. I am very happy and would highly recommend Martin and Amy for any solar install.

Amy and the team have been superb, very organised and proactive, we built 4 new houses which they installed the solar panels for, we had a delay with the mains electricity so could not commission the works immediately, they have kept in regular contact to see when they could get in, and been very accommodating as not all plots went live on the same day. Had a solar system, backup gateway and battery storage planned and installed on a new build property with Amy and Martin. Discussed the options, provided information for all the products and took account of what I was hoping to achieve. It was all very well installed at a very reasonable cost and even the main contractor on the project commented on how well it was done! It all works seamlessly now with no effort from me which is ideal. Would highly recommend

Amy quickly responded to our request for a quote and we arranged a date for Martin to come and survey our property. On attendance we could tell Martin was very knowledgeable about the products on offer and showed us plans on the best place to have the solar panels for effectiveness. Highly recommend Martin and Amy @ Dorset Solar Solutions. They took so much care in explaining the process of installing our solar panels and took the time to listen to our needs and tailor the quote to our requirements. The communication was above and beyond and there was minimal disruption when the solar panels were installed. I was pleasantly surprised how reasonable the cost was and all the equipment was very discreet, so no ugly boxes were visible.

We had 14 panels installed at the end of November by Dorset Solar Solutions. They were recommended to us by friends and that recommendation proved to be an excellent one. I recently had a solar only installation by Dorset Solar Solutions and would strongly recommend them to anyone that is considering the same. From the office side, Amy was quick to respond to my questions and was accommodating when I kept changing my mind about the final equipment I wanted fitted. During the initial site visit Martin was great at looking at my specific requirements and only recommended what I actually needed (no trying to upsell me on products or brands like I had elsewhere). The installation was all done in a day and has been done to a great standard. I would certainly use them again should I decide to add further panels or a battery in the future.

Dorset Solar Solutions recently installed an array of in-roof PV panels and a Givenergy Battery on our self build project. Martin and Amy were very patient over many months as we explored the many options available. Unlike many other contractors they are not at all pushy and always responded promptly to our questions. I cannot recommend Martin and Amy of Dorset Solar Solutions highly enough! Martin’s professionalism and attention to detail is fantastic, and as a perfectionist myself I cannot fault the quality of the work, tidiness, and time keeping. Communication from Amy was also outstanding throughout the installation and afterwards, and on top of all this, the price was also competitive! It has been a pleasure to have our solar panels and battery system installed by Martin and his team. Meticulous work, extremely tidy and easy to work with. Can thoroughly recommend Dorset Solar Solutions. Martin was happy to discuss less common arrangements for solar, so that we could get as many panels as was sensible on our bungalow (20 in the end) that Octopus Energy were just not interested in doing (they only suggested 9). I didn't feel at any point like suggestions were being made to ease his job and at no point were any pressure sales tactics applied. All information about the design and the ongoing process were very well communicated, which is also a great testament to Amy on the other end of the emails! DSS dealt with all the G99 applications, the structural calculations for the flat roof install and everything else. It was a very easy process for us. After all the paperwork was completed, Martin was able to do the job just a couple of weeks later. A few days prior to install, a small scaffolding rig was put up. Then it was pretty much all installed in 2 days - first day electrics were done (with no more than an hour of the electric switched off) and second day the roofers and Martin installed all the panels and wired them up. The work was left tidy after each day, and Martin made good any holes they had to make for wires to pass through. The workmanship looks great too. They even went above and beyond to fix around 6 tiles on our roof that were cracked, going to a local reclamation yard to get matching tiles. Some issues with our battery were sorted quickly (Martin was great at badgering GivEnergy support). In the end, a firmware update of the battery meant it all started working. I would highly recommend this local company.
