Way too early to comment on the quality of the hardware installed (hence only 4-stars so far) but the installation guys were friendly, efficient, tidy and knew their stuff. Dealing with the Solar Bureau office was 'painless' but if I have one minor gripe then better comms on the status of the installation team would have been good...I shouldn't have had to chase to find out if/when they were turning up or why they were delayed....but that is a very minor gripe and they remedied that issue by completing the job in one day rather than two.

Chris at solar bureau was fantastic in answering my multiple questions before I purchased. However , as like others are reporting the fox app is not the most intuitive to use, my husband also has struggled. Following advice from the solar bureau office to amend my battery schedule I tried to do this and since har not had a charging battery or working inverter. App error messages and the solar bureau have not been reliable in fixiing nor helping me fix this . The app could do with simple instructions and what to do when setting charging parameters. Quick guide and mode enabling are not turning off then won’t turn off, error messages etc. surely a simple here’s how to set your battery charge times video etc should help many people and resolve some customer service headaches

As a community centre run as a charity we needed to get a grant for PV Solar and battery storage, which meant various quotes. After researching the differences we decided that Solar Bureau was the company we were best prepared to work with and we were not disappointed. For months we had to jump through bureaucratic hoops with the district and parish councils as well as National Grid, mainly because we are deemed to be a commercial building. After nearly 12 months, and a lot of patience from Solar Bureau, we had our install completed. Great workmanship from Rob the installer and from the team at the office - Sophie, Siobhan, Christina and Adil. If you want a good job at a fair price check these guys out.

I have given 2 stars to The Solar Bureau because apart from the person that installed the solar panels, the whole process has been a series of delays, lack of communication and overall inefficiency. We pay the intial deposit on 12/08/2025 and the solar panels were finally installed on 19/01/2026. It involved a lot of time on our part to contact the company to requests updates and clarifications. Currently, we are still waiting for the scaffolding to be removed, which should not have taken longer than 10 days and again we had to spend a lot of time communicating with the scaffodling company ourselves. Basically we project managed all the way!

First rate experience using Solar Bureau to plan and install a retro fit battery and new inverter to an existing eleven year old solar panel system. All staff who I dealt with were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and polite. Installation was professionally carried out without any issues, and the system is up an running as expected. Highly recommended.

Good resolution after some initial delays I had an issue with my solar/battery system where it was charging and discharging at the wrong times, which took some time to diagnose. Communication could have been better early on, but once the issue was escalated it was handled much more efficiently. An engineer attended, the fault was fully resolved, and I was compensated for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. Lamont, in particular, was excellent in seeing the issue through to completion, and Adil was polite and helpful throughout. Some improvements could be made to early after-sales support, but I’m happy with the final outcome and how it was ultimately dealt with.

Solar Bureau had very good communication throughout the process, scaffolding and installation of the solar panels as planned. Both teams were hard working and friendly. The solar panels team were excellent worked hard and ensured that everything was working and explained in detail. Cleared all rubbish away at the end. After my experience would recommend solar bureau to anyone thinking of installing solar panels.

I always found the people at Solar Bureau helpful when I was looking at having solar panels and batteries installed at our house. They designed two options but I managed to change this to what suited me as I wanted either one or two batteries as I wanted a large storage capacity. Their price was still less than another well known Solar Company and this included a large saving on the scaffolding price. My system was installed this week and it seems to be working well.

Very good process throughout. Bought a solar panel and battery system as part of a Council organised group buying scheme. Communication was good throughout, with surveys, plans, queries, etc all dealt with promptly and efficiently. The cost appeared to be competitive and installation was done very professionally - the installers were considerate in that they went away on the first day, because of heavy rain and so they were concerned it would get into the un-felted roof space during installation. So despite a long way to travel, they came back the next day instead. Would recommend the Solar Bureau, especially if they are chosen for your own local group scheme.

Well managed project - dates provided and agreed were met and any questions answered quickly. The installers were great, discussing the best options and completing the job within a day and very neatly. Very professional all round would recommend.

We had our solar PV system designed and installed by Solar Bureau. The team walked us through every aspect of our solar PV installation, patiently answering questions and adapting to our requests along the way. What impressed us most was their transparency—we never felt left in the dark, and updates came regularly throughout the project. On installation day, the crew demonstrated exceptional professionalism, maintaining a spotless work environment while executing the job with impressive speed and precision. It was refreshing to work with such a dedicated and competent team.

A fantastic overall experience - from proposal to installation to aftercare - every question was answered and all interactions were extremely professional. I also want to specifically highlight both the scaffolders but mainly the installers - amazing work and very communicative throughout the day and we really appreciated the time they took to go through the system with us at the end when it was all set up. I wholeheartedly recommend The Solar Bureau!

I had an excellent experience using The Solar Bureau. I purchased a system through them via my councils auction buying scheme, but not once did I feel less than an individual customer. Any questions I had were promptly answered. The installation of the scaffolding was very professional, however, it was the installation of the panels and battery that really shone. Our installers were brilliant and did a fantastic job. Very neat and tidy.

A really positive experience across all aspects of the installation. The communication from the office team was great, the installers were fast and tidy and the scaffolders even fixed a downpipe. The installation team suggested that I could get more panels on the roof so I contacted the HO team, got a revised quote that day and the revised installation was completed a few days later, once they’d picked up the additional panels. I have to mention Siobhan and Lamont who were great throughout. I’d have no hesitation recommending this company.

The Solar Bureau did a great job of installing my solar equipment and they have been very good at handling my questions during the process too. The only downsides have been 1. trying to get the scaffolding taken down as it's still erected over three weeks later and 2. delays in getting my DNO confirmation, which I need to begin my export tariff application, though this is dependent on Power Networks.

Last week I had 6 panels and a 6kwh battery installed. The Solar Bureau were brilliant! It was so smooth from the survey to the installation. Siobhan was very quick to reply to emails and book everything in. The scaffolding was installed 3 working days before the panels were due to be installed. It all went up without a hitch and very quickly. Unfortunately that afternoon I received a letter saying that there was a planned power outage scheduled the day of the installation! I was worried that it would be a nightmare for them to reschedule the installation but they came back to me extremely quickly and changed it to the day before. Rob came to install the solar panels and was absolutely brilliant! Very professional and just an all-round lovely bloke! I very cheekily asked him if he could also drill a hole in the wall for me so I could feed a wire for my doorbell and he generously fitted the whole thing for me! The day after the power outage I had an error with the CT clamp. Adil was very helpful and talked me through resetting the system to see if that would sort it out. Unfortunately it didn’t fix the issue but they booked Rob in to come and have a look a few days later and he sorted it all out. Everything is working perfectly now and I’m so thankful for how supportive they were with the unfortunate issues that were completely out of their (and my) control! If I was being picky I would say the only area that I feel they could improve on is how they measure the roof. They fly their drone up to generate the plans and use that to get a measurement. I asked how many panels could fit and using the plan they just about managed to squeeze in 6 panels in the plans. However, in reality they were able to fit very easily and I could have even had an additional 2 panels installed. It seems like the drone isn’t particularly accurate for roof measurements. That doesn’t detract from the fact that everything else was excellent! I cannot recommend them enough!

My experience of The Solar Bureau has been nothing short of exceptional. Every member of the team I engaged with demonstrated courtesy, professionalism and excellent customer service. From registering interest, to survey, scaffolding and install, the communication has been very good. On the day of install, Rob arrive early, managed my expectations on the works he needed to complete and kept me updated on progress. I must say, it was pleasant having periodic chats with Rob as he's very knowledgeable of the industry. Pleased with the experience and the work done, everything has gone well so far and I am looking forward to enjoying my renewable energy. Huge thanks to Rob, Siobhan and the rest of the team (apologies to the three others I met/spoke to but can't seem to remember their names - surveyor, pre-install rep and post-install rep), you have all represented The Solar Bureau in very good light. Fantastic job done from start to finish. Customer service was outstanding from everyone involved. Their prices were so reasonable, in comparison to other quotes, I decided to max out on panels after receiving two proposals from them for comparison. I was worried about where the battery and inverter would end up going, but the surveyor easily found a good spot where it’s out of the way. Scaffolding company and installation team did a great job and were polite, respectful and tidy. I must mention the guy who did the electrics as I have never seen such neat wiring and attention to detail when retrofitting electrics through the house into the meter. Top job and would thoroughly recommend.

As a bit of a sceptic concerning solar panals I went along with Solar Together as proposed by Tracy Brabin (West Yorks mayor). The auction winner was The Solar Bureau and the price quote was very attractive. The chaps (Aranas and Gunida)who fitted it worked brilliantly in poor conditions and completed in time..The battery,inverter and gubbins are a piece of technical art on the outside of the house and looks great. The app is clear and easy to use and the back up from Chris and the technical team is always first class. I really can't fault any of the whole process,team and equipment.Thank you John H Otley West Yorks.
