A smooth process from initial enquiry to installation, solar and battery fitted a month early. The team came out explained everything and got to work with minimal disruption. Professional and friendly service. The only criticism I had was the scaffold contractors lacked the same professionalism, chucking garden furniture out of the way and smashed a glass table and didn’t say anything, apart from that I’m really happy with my set up.

Having initially had a previous installation of PV Panels and Inverter in 2015 by Steve from Sustainable Energy Engineering, i decided to upgrade to a Battery and Hybrid Inverter. The whole process once again from quotation to installation was smooth and professional without any concerns. Adam & Ben who carried out the installation completed all work with set up and a final tuition on the Fox App. Final installation was neat and all areas left tidy. Can highly recommend this company from my experience of the past 2 installations!

The whole team were responsive and informative from beginning to end. Keeping us up to date with any changes and helping us when there were additional unexpected charges from power suppliers. The fitting team were professional and unobtrusive (as you can be when you are on top of a roof!!) and everything was cleared up behind them and left tidy. Everything went absolutely to schedule. We couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Recently had 16 x panels, Battery storage and EV charger installed by Sustainable Energy Engineering and highly recommend them! From the initial email contact/receiving quotation/house visit to completion the communications were top notch. The installers were friendly, respectful and excellent at their job. Sustainable Energy Engineering Ltd have just finished the installation of 11 integrated solar energy panels on my roof. I needed to have my roof retiled and decided that this was an opportunity to instal photovoltaic panels as part of the work. From the initial consultation through to the commissioning of the system after two days on site, the team (a family-based business) provided an excellent and professional service. Their work installing the switchgear etc and the roof installation is extremely neat and tidy – and the team were amenable to my wishes to conceal the wiring connecting the two sets of panels (One on the garage roof) to the battery and inverter inside the garage. I found the initial consultation and the briefing about the equipment and Apps after commissioning very helpful. Their proposal and execution were of the highest standard. Their flexibility in visiting the site to coordinate with my holidays etc and to work in with the roofers was excellent. They arrived and departed as agreed – an excellent team.

I phoned several times Sustainable Energy and had all my questions fully answered. We had a site survey and there was no pressure to buy, so we were able to make the most suitable choice when it suited us. Installation was about 4 weeks ahead, and several days before then the scaffolders came. As arranged 3 staff came and did the installation that day. They were impressive, because although they each had separate jobs, they all co-ordinated well as an efficient team. The job only took 4 or 5 hours and when they left we had a fully functioning system that had been demonstrated and explained. I paid the balance and the ‘paperwork’ was immediately sent to us. The network operator completed authorisation quickly, and so 3 weeks after installation our system was approved and EDF our energy provider started paying us. Surprisingly easy and efficient! Our solar and battery has been installed for nearly 2 months now. The process with Sustainable Energy Engineering couldn't have been any smoother, from initial contact with about a quote, to the day of install. We had 10 panels fitted and a Foxx ESS EP11 battery and inverter. The installers on the day worked non stop and you wouldn't know they had been since everything was cleared up before leaving. All relevant documents sent out quickly after the install to get our SEG tariff set up. The scaffolding was taken down a few days after the work was complete which wasn't an issue either. Very pleased with the service and from a great local family run company. Another family member had also used Sustainable Energy Engineering also who recommended them to me. Thanks to the whole team.

Since contacting Luke at the office, receiving an initial quote, then a site visit by Steven and a confirmation of costs, Then the Contract was agreed and The G99 application made was all within a week. The only problem I had was with the National Grid for the DNO licence, this was delayed and set back the installation date. Luke juggled things about and managed to reschedule the installation for 3 weeks later. I think it was like a massive game of Jenga, as the delay from the National Grid was not only effecting me. I really appreciated the efforts made to get my installation back on track. On the day the lads turned up, they were very polite and friendly and did a cracking job, 22 panels, a large battery back up and gateway fitted in two and a half days. Well done and thank you to all the team, including back at the office, as if I had any questions, they were dealt with straight away. The only thing I am waiting for now is Octopus Energy to get their finger out and get my export license sorted, how long does it take, as I’ve sent them all the relevant certificates and letters etc. The problems I’ve encountered throughout this journey are both out of Sustainable Energy’s control, their part was delivered perfectly. Finally, talk about being a family business, all of Stevens kids are involved working together. Hi would highly recommend them.

I was very pleased with the work from Sustainable Energy Engineering. They provided the most competitive quote for the system I wanted. The installation was completed in one day by a team of 5 people. The team was professional and answered patiently all my questions. A couple of teething problems were rectified promptly and professionally within two days. After the installation, there was an issue with my EV charger - it wouldn't cooperate with the solar system. Even though it wasn't their fault, Sustainable Energy Engineering designed a solution for the issue and the problem was solved quickly. I would certainly recommend them!

It has been a pleasure working with Sustainable Energy Engineering. I chose this company because they are local and because of their previous excellent feedback. I wanted a local company in case of future issues, but I don’t need to worry about that. Solar power system and battery installed and commissioned within 7 weeks of initial enquiry. The quote for 12 solar panels, a large capacity battery, scaffolding was extremely competitive. On the day, the team of lads turned up on time with 2 vans, were extremely curtious and kept us up to date with what was going on. Having had solar power at my previous address, I can state that the work carried out was too a seriously very high standard. The lads even noticed a tile broken by the scaffolders and fixed that on site. The whole thing took a full day but was worth it. The team leader, took me on a walk around post commission, talking me through everything and then helped set up my monitoring app before he left. The whole area was cleaned up and no mess left. Scaffolding was removed 2 days later. The required install documentation was also available immediately after the final payment made. From initial discussions with the boss, through to office comms and dealing with the install, it has been an easy painless journey and I cannot praise this company enough. From competitive price, through to speed of install and the high quality of work done, this company is unbeatable. I’m already saving lots of money on electric bills and have already started the process of getting paid for giving excess power back to the grid. Using this company to take you through a cost saving venture like this is a no-brainer.

A professional organisation who recently upgraded my solar system. Would highly recommend. Great communication from start to finish. Exceptional installation team; Adam, Ben, Josh and Reece. The upgrade from a 5kW H1 inverter to a KH8 plus the addition of 10 x 440-watt Jinko Neo pv panels on west facing roof (total pv now 9.86 kW split between east, south and west facing roofs). Plus an additional 2.88 kW ECS2900 slave added to my existing stack giving a total of 17.28 kW battery power. Also fitted a Zappi at the same time.

16 panels and a 13.5kwh Powerwall 3 installed with automatic power backup and bird-proofing. Sustainable energy have done an incredible job, fitting it all within a couple days. Workmanship throughout is excellent and very tidy, the team are friendly and respectful, good efficient communication throughout the process. And right from the start, SEE gave me the best quote - none of the nonsense pushy sales and 'discounting' you get with other firms. If you need solar panels, these are the guys to go with

Very happy with work by sustainable Energy engineering. They turned up on time and had arranged scaffolding for the job. The system appears to be working well and I would recommend them. They are a local firm and if I have any queries they answer them over the telephone promptly. It is also saving me money in the winter and once Northern power sends their letter I should save more.

I have no hesitation in recommending Sustainable Energy Ltd. From the start and initial enquiry, the team have been very helpful and responsive to our questions. We now have 12 solar panels and all the additional electrics, neatly installed. The job was quite hard, due to the nature of our property and age of the slates on the roof. The weather was also awful for a couple of days of the installation. However, the lads were always polite, cheerful and helpful to have around, despite the circumstances and just cracked on. Their instructions have been clear and they have organised the paperwork required as quickly as possible so we can gain the best from our panels. Excellent job! Thank you!

I did loads of research before choosing Sustainable to fit/install my solar panels and battery. I promise you it paid off, from the start to finish this family run company nailed it for me. My installation was mid Feb 2024. I'm not originally from around the NE, and I decided to go with a local company which also had great reviews. Choosing them was the best thing I did and I can't rate them highly enough. (Sorry I forgot to put this review on sooner) apart from the good reviews previously, there are 3 reasons why I choose them, 1- good price for a good job, 2- SUS was one of a few company's that install a switch over switch, so I could, say in the event of a power cut, switch over and use my batteries power to run my house. (As a short term solution) for info, you can use your batteries power in the event of a power cut, for example, unless a switch over switch has been install as you need to isolate you from the grid. 3- local family run business was also a factor for me. Hope this review is helpful, as solar is worth having if you can afford it. I didn't take a loan but I still may have so go for it if you get chance. 5 Star review, thx for reading, Julian S. We had to wait in line for our solar panels to be fitted, but it was well worth it. The first meeting with Steve Fairless set the professional tone, providing us with all the information and reassurance we sought. The installation process maintained the emphasis on an efficient but friendly approach. We were especially impressed by the smooth team-working, the quick and expert installation (completed in one day), and the tidy, polite, helpful, and considerate workers. Would recommend Sustainable Energy Engineering without hesitation.

This company was amazing from start to finish. Helpful, friendly, polite, professional and knowledgeable. The end result is better than I could have imagined. They managed to conceal all of the wiring, on the outside and the inside of the house (I'm totally OCD about wires so this really mattered to me.) I placed the order 7 months in advance and they turned up promptly on the exact date which they originally offered. Honest, trustworthy and reliable. Highly, highly recommended.
