Once we had agreed on a system they then sent a member of their roof team to physically go on the roof and measure, as other companies had given conflicting information on the number of panels that would fit on the roof. After this they sent their electrical team to do a survey and discuss cable runs and where the equipment could be placed. They were then flexible and set up the scaffolding a day early to allow me to arrange for a minor roof repair to be done prior. The quality of the workmanship is second to none. The system was explained clearly and the app set up. In addition, the quotes were very competitive. I can’t recommend them enough. Thanks to everyone at Solar Star.

Communication with office staff was excellent. Everything was explained thoroughly. The installation was done to our timescales. The electricians and solar panel fitters were informative when they installed the system. They were "can do people". The whole process was efficient, quick, and ran smoothly from beginning to end. These guys just do it right!

We were recommended this company by neighbours, both for competitive pricing and also the great customer service. We requested a quotation and based on an initial site survey, some issues were found that needed discussion. A visit from their electrician soon resolved this and a quotation was made for different systems, with clear explanation of the benefits and deficits of each. Each time there was a change in the requirements, it was no problem for the team to reissue the quotation to us again. Installation was booked for 08:30 on the 1st October and on the 30th September, we had a visit from one of the team to scope out the work. Polite, respectful and let us know what to expect. 08:27 on installation day and the teams arrived. Scaffolding put up quickly, installation teams worked tirelessly and every option was discussed with us - colour of conduit, location of power bank etc. Nothing was too much trouble and the teams went above and beyond to make the installation as non-intrusive as possible (for example, cables could have been run on the wall - instead, they were run through cavity walls which was harder work) Everyone was tidy, polite, friendly (and appreciated the cakes) and the workmanship was absolutely perfect - even down to the fixings for the conduit being perfectly evenly spaced and everything being either dead horizontal or vertical. Problems were resolved without issue and deadlines were absolutely adhered to. Would have no reservation in recommending the team to friends, family and anyone considering solar power. Great company that delivers quality work and product at a reasonable price. What more can I say?

We had Solar Star install 17 panels and a Tesla wall 3 and I’m so glad I chose them! I had originally signed up with a national installer but after reading so many poor reviews online I thought I’d search for an independent installer and came across Solar Star. From day one Louisa was fantastic and explained what would benefit us regarding the setup. She visited our home and managed to optimise the system better than the other installers had offered. Our DNO approval came back within a couple of weeks and Louisa called to set the install date. The day came with six installers who all set to work checking all expects of the install with me before work commenced. The electricians were fantastic and all wiring including in the garage and loft was all carefully done where it couldn’t been seen. All mess cleared up and system shown. They even watered the wife flowers whilst clearing up. The scaffolders and panel fitters were great also. Working in what the sky had to throw at them and looked after our property and garden, clearing up and working to get the job done. Overall I’m thrilled with the install and the attention to detail. All the team were great and I’d happily recommend Solar Star Power to anyone.

Great Service and a Can-Do Attitude

Communication with Solar Star Power was always clear and straightforward, which made the whole process easy from the outset. The installation itself went smoothly — the team were punctual, tidy and efficient, and everything was completed on time. My project had some unique features, with panels needing to be installed at the bottom of the garden. The team really showed their can-do attitude in finding a way to make the most of the space and maximise the number of panels. Since then, the system has been running perfectly, and I’ve had no issues at all. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant and professional, and I’ve already recommended Solar Star Power to friends and family.

Thoroughly recommend this family run business

Clear and easy to understand assessment. Follow up quotation provided quickly and with full information about the products recommended for our situation. No high pressure sales, these are not needed as they provide good service and quality products at a good price. We had 18 solar panels on two aspects of roof, a solar battery storage, exporting meter and car charger fitted in one day. Some scaffolding was put up evening before and taken down day after as one aspect required outsourcing of scaffolding. All work men and office staff polite, friendly and excellent standard of work. Thoroughly recommend this family run business.

3 Tesla Powerwals and 11.5kWp PV array

Had 2 Tesla Powerwalls fitted along with a Zappi EV charger and subsequent to that an existing solar PV array significantly upgraded along with another Powerwall fitted as well. Everything from initial contact to final commissioning was well explained and the system has been faultless since fitting. The guys doing the work were a pleasure to have in the house, this was a large job but done quickly and very tidily. All in all I’d be very happy to recommend Solar Star.

We had an all round excellent service…

We had an all round excellent service from Solar Star Power Ltd. They were very helpful and came out to our house following our conversation to answer all our questions. We had a very professional installation team who installed the system battery wall and panels within 5 hrs. They all worked well and were very engaging. The quality was excellent and they cleaned every thing up before they left. On completion we were shown how to install the app and how to use it which was very simple. We had followed up calls checking everything was ok and if we were happy with the end product. I would have no issues recommending Solar Star power and all there teams from the scaffolders, installation teams Louisa and the back off team who have all been great. Many thanks

The support given from initial enquiry to the process of registration for the grid and supplier has been excellent . The installation team were efficient and knowledgeable- the whole installation ( 14 panels and battery storage) completed in 6 hours!

If you are thinking of installing solar, its well worth doing. Looking for a company to install your solar, Solar Star Power from Uttoxeter are the company I used and I can highly recommend these guys. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and will help you sort out the right system for your needs. From the office staff to the installers, nothing is to much trouble. One of the panels installed on my roof didn’t look quite the same as the others. They came back the same day and changed the panel, no problem! We had the Tesla Powerwall 3 installed which we are really happy with and gets my vote. The Tesla app is great for telling you how the system is performing. If you are thinking of solar panels, Solar Star Power are defiantly the company to use.

Very helpful and professional service…

Very helpful and professional service from start to finish in installing solar panels and battery. The electricians, the solar panel installers and the office were patient and provided all the information we needed throughout the process to make the decisions we needed to.

The installation of solar panels and a battery

The installation, we had wasn't straight forward, we had to have our solar panels installed first and then later we got the battery installed and it all connected together. The installation team worked well and then when we got the battery installed, the engineers worked well and this is where we found out that we had a bad signal and we didnt know we would need a good internet signal, which was an issue as the battery had trouble connecting to the phone, we had issues getting this connected as the Tesla battery didnt connect straight away, but solar star power sent an engineer out to sort this which we really appreciated as most companies would try to do this over the phone. we are now connected and happy with the installation, the one issue we have which is not an issue with Solar Star Power is the Tesla App is very restrictive we tried to add another log in and tried to reset our password, when we tried to do this the tesla app asked for letters and numbers as part of security, but wouldn't allow us to change the keyboard settings to put in any numbers. I would recommend Solar Star Power to anyone.

I have just had 8 solar panels plus inverter fitted by Solar Star Power. I can’t recommend them enough. Emily was professional yet friendly and very responsive. The fitters were efficient and got on with the job. From quote to fitting was a matter of weeks - a very satisfied customer! I’m so pleased that we are finally able to generate our own power and do our bit for climate justice.

I can highly recommend Solar Star Power based upon my experience. The sales engagement was excellent with an ideal solution designed for a reasonable price. Communication was excellent without any unnecessary pressure or chasing. Once the sale was agreed they were flexible to fit in with my requirements for installation. The install team went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy, delivering a high standard of work and remaining courteous throughout. I had one small issue with my Tesla Powerwall after installation (caused by a Tesla firmware update), they responded quickly and efficiently to get the issue resolved. This was our second install from solar…

This was our second install from solar star as we increased our number of solar panels. The installation was fault free, the staff were efficient and helpful from administration to the scaffolders, the electrician explained thoroughly what the battery was doing and how we had to understand it.

We recently had a battery, myenergi zappi, eddi and 16 Aiko All Black 460W panels fitted, including a combination of black bird mesh and SolaSkirt. At a previous house we had solar installed in 2011, so had some experience already. Over the last few years we discussed options with a small number of larger installers and often encountered long lead times to even get an outline quote. The experience with Solar Star Power was refreshingly different. My email enquiry was responded to promptly and my many following questions all answered promptly with emails and calls. I did not get a generic quotation pack sent to me, which is different from the other companies, but this did leave me wondering about various points. All my questions did get answers, either by emails or in the post installation “commissioning pack”. SSP dealt with all the G99 application process and chased it regularly. From initial email to installation was just over five weeks, including all the waiting for the G99 approval to install. The installation took just two days, with a roofing team of five on the first day and two on the second to do the SolaSkirt / bird mesh, plus two electricians on each day. I am an electrical engineer and we have had to have the roof on our house replaced a few years ago, so I am not the easiest customer! Both teams were professional and friendly. Always taking time to agree with me exactly how I wanted the work done and equipment laid out. They were also very tidy. The office based team members were excellent, always responsive and thorough. Before we agreed to the basic quote in the email, we visited another customer that kindly agreed to show us the quality of SSP’s installation. Since our system has been installed a number of neighbours have commented that they’ve never seen such a tidy and unobtrusive solar panel installation. The SolaSkirt edging product certainly makes it look more like inbuilt panels. We have already recommended Solar Star Power to three neighbours and will happily continue to recommend the company.

Brilliant service from start to finish. They have completed solar installation on 3 different houses for my family now and we have all been impressed. Emily has been on hand for any questions we have had and the installation team were just as good. The roofers damaged a few tiles but replaced them within a few days without question. We have only paid for the standing charge on our energy so it's been brilliant from the moment it was connected. We're about to switch to Octopus Flux so we can start selling back to the grid as well on the recommendation of Solar Star Power. They also fast tracked our certificates through. Genuinely couldn't fault them.

They came round straight after contacting them to discuss the options for a solar panel installation which was extremely refreshing after dealing only online with sales guys that didn't really care. Great local, trustworthy solar company. I've had 2 systems from Solar Star Power in 18 months as I moved house since my first installation. Both times the installation has been great from start to finish. Great advice (that saved us money) from Dave about the type of installation that was possible. The installation, both times, was super neat and the installers are both friendly, super tidy and know a lot about their products. Both times the guys installing the electrics took me through all the hardware and software in great detail (I'm a bit of a geek!). You can tell that you're dealing with a small, local company. Everybody knows everybody else, they keep you well informed as to installation dates. The second installation I had the panels were up 2 weeks after the site visit! Great stuff.

Fantastic service from Solar Star Power. We saw Emily within days of making our enquiry for a survey. Our quote arrived the following day and just a few days later we were up and running. A 6 man team fitted our panels, Tesla battery, gateway and inverter in half a day. They were efficient, tidy, friendly and informative. And the after sale service excellent. I can't fault the company.
