I cannot recommend this company too highly. My dishwasher had failed, I thought it was probably an electrical fault, and telephoned Trimby on the recommendation of a friend. They sent someone out the same day. He sorted everything out in the most professional manner - this involved putting in a new socket - and my dishwasher was working again within two hours of his arrival. We had a number of electrical jobs to complete during a downstairs renovation. All of the jobs we quoted at the beginning and the work was completed to a high standard at the agreed time. I would use Trimby Electrical services for future electrical work.

Unprofessional and blamed for their mistakes ! I asked to have my living room lights replaced and informed the owner and the electrician that the connection was also faulty. After a couple of weeks it was clear the connection was still faulty and the lights were flickering and eventually packed up altogether. The electrician came to investigate the issue a 2nd time and replaced the dimmer. I was disappointed to receive an invoice for additional work which was not quoted in the original quotation. At no point was I informed I would be charged extra until receiving a further invoice. After complaining and checking with Citizens Advice the owner continued to argue with me saying at no point did I ask for them to ascertain the cause of the problem that I was incurring! Surely loose connection and requiring more light is adequate explanation for a non expert?

Excellent service, I had a problem with my power. I found the company through Trust Mark and rang them. Neil talked me through the procedure to reset my power and everything now working again. No call out no fee. I can't speak to highly of this company. Thank you

Fantastic speedy response to a call when my boiler kept tripping out due to a short circuit. Neil and his team quickly and professionally identified the problem (nothing to do with the boiler) and isolated it, came back a couple of days later to finish up - I couldn’t be happier with the service. Highly recommended.

Our electric came off-supply and Neil answered my call promptly and arrived in an hour as promised. He identified the issue with the main fuseboard switch that needed replacing. After getting the part he returned within the hour and finished the job in about 15 minutes. Great service. Would definitely recommend

Would not recommend Trimby. Although he tried helping out hanging up a wall lamp (other job then I called for, which seems helpful), he actually drilled through the electrical cables in the wall which is dangerous and meant the lamp did not work. He said he was unable to test whether the lamp worked as we did not have a lightbulb yet. Electricians can test this without light bulb. We had to get another electrician in to fix the problem. Also much more expensive than other electricians. Trimby charged 70 pounds for a 30 min job done I correctly. The other electrician charged 20 pounds for 45 min of correcting it.

Contacted Trimby about having some downlighters fitted and a couple of other electrical jobs. Neil came out to review work needed, and straight away he was very helpful. He came out the following week with Sam, they arrived early and Sam worked extremely hard over the next two days to get my work done to a high standard. Thank you Sam and Neil I will definitely be using you again soon.

Really, really impressed with this company. We engaged Trimby Electical to complete a Domestic Electrical Installation Condition Report ("DEICR"), having initially called the company out to troubleshoot a tripping fuseboard. The company were able to troubleshoot and address the initial issue that day, and go on to complete the fuller DEICR later that week. Having identified a couple of issues, the company completed remedial works the following week, to a high standard, efficiently and for a good price. This included the fitting of a new fuseboard, which we are happy with. We would happily recommend Trimby Electrical to others. Chris
