On line quote was easy to complete. Next day call from Barry to arrange a survey with David. Next day visit from David for the survey and full and final quote. Appointment arranged for the next week for fitting of our Worcester 4000 boiler. Bit of a hiccup on the morning of fitting but EB company kept us up to date on what was happening Boiler was fitted the following day, Robbie and his mate where brilliant came at 8.15 finished at 11.15, no mess and flushed our radiators as well. Would definitely recommend Edinburgh Boiler Company. 5 *

Had a great install with Edinburgh Boiler Company. Was seamless from survey to install. The quote with Rick didn’t feel pushy at all, and it was great to fully hear about different options from someone who had a system install. The office team did a great job organising payment / installation dates, and the install was seamless. In fact the work was done in a day, and was explained to me in great detail. In all, we had our quote in early February, and had our install 3 weeks later. Would highly recommend Edinburgh Boiler Company!

New boiler installation

I had a new boiler installed yesterday, prior to my kitchen makeover which is happening next month. The guys were friendly and polite and clearly answered any questions I had. The job was done very quickly, and they cleared up after. I'm very happy with the new boiler, and would recommend them.

Highly recommend

The Edinburgh Boiler company came out to install a new boiler, radiators and pipe work along with co2 alarm and smoke/heat detectors. They were here and away in 1 day, they managed to get the work sorted promptly and kept all areas clean and organised throughout. The guys communicated each step and walked through the new heating system at the end. Everyone was very friendly and did an excellent job throughout, can't thank them enough.

It,s not the mistake it,s the remedial work that counts

After an unfortunate mistake with siting the boiler the error was remedied with no hassle, engineers were quick, friendly and tidy. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

On discovering we needed a new boiler and having no heating or hot water when it was cold and snowing outside, The Edinburgh Boiler Company were quick to respond to us, sending someone out that night to give us a quote. The following morning everything was in place and a new boiler was installed on the Saturday morning. Replacement boiler

Installation appointment was within 48 hours of accepting the quote. The quote itself was competitive (much cheaper than British Gas). Really appreciated the quick turnaround as property was rented out and tenant had had an awful time with previous boiler with three different Heating Companies failing to fix it over the winter. I now have peace of mind having taken out a service contract with the Edinburgh Boiler Company which extends my warranty for an extra two years.

I recently had a heat pump system installed and, while I’m pleased with the final result and found everyone I interacted with to be friendly and easy to deal with, there were several process and communication issues that future customers may want to be aware of. My experience wasn’t about the people themselves—they were polite and helpful—but rather about gaps in planning, clarity, and overall coordination. These are the areas I think prospective customers should check carefully before work begins. Key points from my experience: 1. No installation plan or equipment list provided in advance I didn’t receive details about the equipment being installed or the dimensions of the radiators. This made it difficult to understand the impact on each room or make informed decisions about placement. A clear plan would have helped avoid surprises. 2. Installation team arrived without a clear brief The team didn’t seem to have a defined plan of work when they arrived. They also mentioned they were new and explained that they wouldn’t be refitting carpets or removing the old system, which wasn’t communicated beforehand. 3. Hot water tank location changed unexpectedly The tank was originally measured for the loft, but it turned out not to be suitable. It was eventually installed in a cupboard, which worked out, but it felt like this could have caused a more significant issue if space hadn’t been available. 4. Some old pipework left in place I was told certain pipework would be removed, but some of it remains visible. 5. Carpets not relaid after being lifted While I didn’t expect full carpet fitting, the carpets were left up after installation, and we had to try to lay them back down ourselves. 6.No breakdown of equipment or costs I didn’t receive a detailed list of what was being installed or how the costs were structured. This lack of transparency made it harder to understand exactly what was included in the installation. 7. Overall process felt rushed At several stages, I didn’t feel fully informed about what was happening or what to expect next. 8. Limited handover on the new system The electrician gave a very quick overview of the console but wasn’t familiar with the system. Given that heat pumps operate differently from gas or electric heating, a more thorough handover would have been helpful. Summary The installation was ultimately completed and the team were pleasant throughout, but the process lacked clarity, planning, and communication. I’d recommend that future customers ask for a detailed installation plan, equipment list, and clear expectations about what will and won’t be done inside the home before work begins.

Boiler replacement & alterations to radiator pipework

I had my boiler replaced and had to add some extra alterations done to pipework for radiators. The boys came in and hit it all in the one day. They were helpful and done work to a good standard. Everyone i dealt with was professional and helpful, that being Alan, Gracie and the lads who came and done the work. Brilliat finance options as well. Would recommend this company.

Fantastic service and would highly recommend. Rick visited and spoke at length about our solar panel project. Gareth, Ollie and the rest of the installation team were brilliant on the day too, finishing much earlier than expected. They even left some cardboard boxes for my children to play with. After care support from Anna has been great too, always available to answer questions and emails. I'll be back in touch in the future for boiler work and any other renewable works.

Got quoted one amount set up date arranged a bank loan then on day they added £800 then had to wait till next day for work to start then after leaving ceiling damage due to a leak caused by install they reduced bill. Great job lovely working boiler just the organising of jobs completed on date arranged and not waiting a week for a joiner and electrician to complete job would have been great. Also set the cost upfront not change boilers on day of install and add extra costs.

Excellent experience. When the installers arrived first checks showed slight gas leak at the meter outside. They contacted Scottish Gas Network on my behalf who came and sorted a few hours later. Interesting that my old boiler had been supposedly serviced 2 weeks before. No hassle or delay, installers back next day and job done. Very professional and reassuring. Will be taking out the monthly cover, P45 Scottish gas, and saving hugely on monthly boiler cover. Would definitely recommend.

From the initial contact from Siobhan during the sales visit, to Liz in the office keeping me updated, helping with my funding application and even pushing SP Energy Networks on my behalf to complete unlooping work, and the workmen who have, by far, been the most respectful and helpful group of chaps I have met with in my renovation journey. Everyone has been incredibly professional, respectful and cannot do enough to help. The installation was completed quickly and aftercare to rectify some teething issues has been dealt with swiftly. Had a great experience with the Edinburgh Boiler company recently. Survey and quote was provided by David Y who was polite and professional and talked me through everything. I accepted the quote when it was sent through on email, within 15 mins the office called to arrange fitting. This was at 5pm on a Tuesday, fitting was arranged for the Thursday morning. The materials were delivered that morning quickly followed by Scott, Daniel, Kieran and Scott who got to work fitting the new boiler. The guys were great and worked very quickly, left no mess and were out in 3 hrs. Couldn’t be happier!

Had my combi fitted a few weeks ago and the guys installed it in half a day which was amazing 👌Well done boys 😊. Since having this combi my house has never felt as warm and cosy as it is now !. My daughter always said when she came to visit that our house was cold 🥶but we were so used to it we didn't really notice until our new boiler was fitted !! 🥵🤣. We used to have a very noisy pump for our shower🙉 but that was removed and now our house is peaceful at shower time 🤗 Happy days👍. It has been a real pleasure to deal with Edinburgh Boiler Company who have just completed installation of a solar system. The people employed in this process have all, without exception, been very professional, personable and helpful. Our system was installed during 2 days of very cold weather. Despite the cold the team continued to work hard to do their best for us and this was greatly appreciated.

The whole team of personnel is a fantastic combination. The sales and support teams worked closely to help—from providing the quotation and assisting with the funding application to scheduling and installation. All of them performed their jobs excellently, especially the sales support and admin teams. Ms. Siobhan Hancock and Ms. Liz Allan made the process seamless, taking it from quotation to installation in less than a month.

was very straightforward, got a quote, shopped around, thought they were the best value and went for it. turnaround about two weeks from confirmation to installation. three gents turned up on time and got cracking: scott kieran and daniel. one was electrics, another installation and another an apprentice i think. they worked well as a team and were courteous, explained what they were doing at every stage, and cleaned nicely up afterwards. very efficient work and no issues after. a pleasure to have them in my house, and even better to have a working electric boiler after!

Solar panel and battery installation I would highly recommend The Edinburgh Boiler Company. I contacted 3 companies and had a different experience with each. Rick from the Edinburgh Boiler Company was very thorough and took his time to discuss all the finer details - and was more than happy to answer all our questions (I had a lot!). He arrived in an electric car (which was important to us) and most importantly he had first hand experience with his own solar panels on his own home. He understood our needs and wants and unlike the other 2 companies he did not fire a price at us straight away. Rick took our details and came back to us a few days later with a few options (and different prices) and designs based on our discussions. We were also provided with a very detailed list of costings. Ultimately we were really impressed with the interactions we’d had with Rick. We were even more impressed when the quote came in under our estimations. Installation was arranged around our availability - scaffolding was put in place the day before installation. On the day of installation the team arrived prompt and had the whole job complete by 4pm. They left no mess and provided a detailed overview of the system. All the staff I had interactions with were extremely friendly and I have to say that I definitely feel that the ‘customer’ is at the heart of this business. The Edinburgh Boiler Company were excellent from start to finish. The planning and most effective design/ choice of PV array, inverter and battery system was clearly explained, and the layout, relevant data, and installation process were detailed in a concise way, sufficient information being provided by email. The installation of system was efficiently carried out, and the installers were very friendly, extremely professional, and also very communicative. Also the support staff in the office were excellent as well. I want to particularly mention Anna who was a great help, and continues to be so. Also Rick for the excellent design. I am already very pleased with the energy saving results since commissioning the system, and hope to start selling excess electricity back to the grid as soon as my MPAN import export comes through from DNO along with MCS certificate. Delighted with the installation of a 10-panel solar system, including battery, by Edinburgh Boiler Company. From start to finish they provided 1st Class service. Having obtained 8 separate quotes for a system, EBC were one of only two installers to conduct an on-site survey, which gave me much greater confidence in their proposal. Their sales rep., Colin Buckle, took time to explain technical aspects of the system and answered all of my questions during both his on-site visit and subsequently, when I had some further queries. At no time was I subjected to ‘special offers’ or other inducements to sign up - unlike some of the other installers! The installation team (Marc? + 2 colleagues) arrived promptly on the day and beavered away without a break, completing a very tidy job before then talking me through the operating system. In the first full week following installation, I’ve only used 5kWh of electricity from the Grid, which included recharging my hybrid car! I’m more than happy to recommend EBC to anyone considering a solar installation.

Having had a few quotes for solar and battery installation I was really impressed with Rick from E.B.C. After initial chats he asked what I wanted or felt I needed to get the maximum benefit for me, no hard sell, just plain speaking in a language I could understand, also Anna was always available to answer any questions I had and texts messages and updates to install and payments all done super efficiently. Scaffolding erected quickly and site left tidy upon construction, fitting team arrived when they said and had panels up in no time at all and tidied up after installation, Dale fitted battery for solar panels and his team also were very professional, explaining the app and how everything would work, again tidied up after completion of job.
