Following my recent solar and battery installation, I am very happy to recommend South Scotland Solar Ltd.  Calum & Liam were easy to deal with, and they really helped me better understand my requirements. They supplied, installed and commissioned the complete system, and carried out all the associated paperwork necessary for the grid connection and export. I started receiving export payments in under 4 weeks, which I understand is quick. I've had a keen interest in using solar & battery for a few years, and after a lot of investigating and exploring options and costs, I finally took the plunge.  There are lots of enticing offerings around, but I wanted to deal with an established local company with a proven history and good reviews. So I contacted South Scotland Solar Ltd. for a proposal and explained that I did not want a visit from a salesperson but wanted to discuss with someone with the skill/knowledge and practical experience.  Liam visited and I explained what I wanted and we had a good and varied chat around all associated aspects. Liam carried out a roof survey, checking the mains electric setup, battery location etc., and a few days later I received a detailed design proposal and costs. Interestingly, their calculated payback time matched mine, but was calculated on an entirely different basis.  I use a smart "Time of Use" tariff where my average electric unit cost is significantly below the standard rate, so potentially I had a longer payback, but by importing when cheap and exporting later the sums made sense. I am very happy with the system's performance and with the service received from South Scotland Solar Ltd.

Callum and his team were brilliant! They are enthusiastic, polite, knowledgeable and easy to get hold of when you have questions. The panels were put up with minimal fuss or mess. They tidied up after themselves. The whole process was easy. The price was good. If I need to put up solar panels in the future I would definitely use South Scotland Solar.

Great service from Callum and the team, professional and competitive quote all explained very well. Current daily generation record is 48kWh in May, 18 panels on a house. Very pleased.

Callum and his team were amazing. Really helpful with assisting us choose the best setup from what's really complicated to establish from just reading online. Great service from Callum at South Scotland Solar, so I would heartily recommend this firm. Easy to understand and clear initial advice, competitive quote and definitely no hard-sell, which I appreciated. They arrived to install on the agreed date, the installation itself was very neat and tidy and then Callum again explained everything during the commissioning of our system (panels, inverter and battery). We are very happy overall and looking forward to cheaper energy bills..!

Callum was recommended to us by a company who did not cover the North of England. He was very professional and thorough. Even though he hadn't seen our house or the possible problems that may have surfaced he just got on with it. On the day of installation the team just got on with the job, professionally and surprisingly fast. It was completed in about 3 hours. Since the installation, he has been on hand to advise with little glitches and more technical problems. All of which have been resolved with his help. We cannot recommend Callum highly enough. I was looking for someone to fit solar for ages but found everything so confusing. From start to finish Callum it all totally straightforward. He provided a full and detailed quote, which even I understood and did an absolutely fabulous job. No pushy sales just facts and figures and explanation. His team were so professional and efficient even down to the tidy-up! He a doesn’t fit and run either - always available to explain stuff and help out with questions.

Really pleased we went with Callum, professional, friendly, and excellent service, which he delivered on time, with no interruptions to us (as we work from home). His quote was the most competitive, and spent the most time assessing our needs. He then explained the different options and which one he thought was best for our energy consumption.
