From the initial meeting with Billy, when he explained everything to me very clearly, to the handover meeting, I have been so impressed with his knowledge and patience with me! I would thoroughly recommend Southern Solar if anyone is thinking of having a solar system fitted.

Text Billy on a Sunday due to problems with an existing installation carried out by others. He communicated straight back even though I told him not to on a Sunday (very appreciated though) Arranged to come over the next day between a certain time. Text the next day to give me a more definite time. Turned up on time. Spent 3 hours dedicated to sorting out the problem with my batteries. I can honestly say that I have been self employed for 26 years myself and I'm always impressed when a tradesman acts like I have done myself with punctuality and a conscientious attitude towards giving the best service. I would not hesitate to recommend him and his company for all solar and electrical work in the future. 5 stars all around for this guy! Excellent. Billy installed a new inverter and batteries back in August all was working well until we changed our broadband provider to vodafone then we were unable to connect the solar to the router.I messaged Billy and he came round on his way home and spent a considerable time trying to connect and discovered that our new router was not allowing the solar to connect.I called vodafone technical and spent hours on the phone but they could not offer a solution, but we did manage to split the wifi into 2.4GHz and 5 GHz.Then reloaded the solar on the 2.4GHz and now we are back in business. Billy has carried out a number of jobs for me with off grid solar systems. He turns up on time and great at communicating what is required. If there are any problems he is willing to look and sort it out. Great guy.

Mike from Southern Solar is an absolute professional. He has helped me contract multiple detach and reset of solar panels for my roofing crews. He works well with our residential customers and offers great time management with scheduling his crews. If I could leave 100 stars I would. If you currently have panels on your roof and don’t have anyone, call Mike he is the best in KY!

Southern Solar has provided a brilliant service in bird proofing my panels (evicting these doves) and ensuring they are working correctly. Prompt response to my enquiry and very courteous and personable to talk with. Would thoroughly recommend them.

Billy is passionate about solar. Communication was excellent & clear throughout. He visited 3 times beforehand to survey our home both inside & out to ensure all cables, etc were installed as neatly as possible. He tweaked the original plan to enable us to have the maximum number of solar panels on our unorthodox roof. Billy & Danny were meticulous in their work in the house & outside - explaining everything they did clearly & checking to be certain we were happy at each stage of the process. Once the physical install was complete, Billy & Danny spent extra time helping us get setup on the GivEnergy app & website. They explained the various functions in great detail & also offered advice on potential tariffs with our energy company. Two very nice blokes offering a superb service, who I would happily recommend.

I recently had Southern Solar & Electrical in to quote for a solar installation and Zappi EV charger. Billy was very polite and courteous throughout the home visit and offered some priceless advice with what would suit our property best. Billy came back last week to fit the Zappi EV charger which was done very neatly with Billy asking lots of questions about positioning etc to ensure I was a happy customer. The job was done quickly and very professionally and I will certainly be inviting them back to fit the solar panels when we are ready to have them fitted. Brilliant service at a good price. What more could you ask for!

Billy & James go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction before, during and even after the installation. Our solar panels were installed expertly, the design process was tailored to our lifestyle and the boys kept in touch afterwards to check the system was working as it should. Billy Sweeney's team came to install my solar panels on the 24 Oct 22. They were excellent throughout. They explained the detail of their actions clearly and politely. Their physical installation was of a very high standard. The company they were working for had failed to advise of the need for bird mesh and also failed to provide the battery. Fortunately the team were able to compensate in one area and offered to return when the battery was delivered. I am a reasonably hard person to convince to review as outstanding but they were! In a few words: efficient, polite, and helpful in every way. Well done to the whole team. I recommend them unreservedly.

Fantastic group, they did all the electrics and solar for my install. They were always open and honest and kept me informed throughout the whole installation. I was very impressed with the quality and care of the work carried out. The electrical cable runs were some of the neatest I have seen, made me very happy! The panels also went on super nice as well, super straight and inline with the roof.

Billy and his team fitted our solar panel system. They arrived promptly, were polite and cheerful and worked hard to complete the installation by mid afternoon. All the work was extremely neat and to a high standard. I was given a thorough explanation and handover of the system. The commissioning certificates and paperwork were e-mailed through the next day. They are a great team who work really well together. I am more than pleased with the work they did and have no hesitation in recommending them.
