Excellent polite, efficient and satisfactory service and installation. All the staff and installers are knowledgeable and helpful and fully explained how to operate the system. Clean and tidy work carried out and completed as originally planned in a day. Thanks to everyone involved. We feel we have had very good value and service from Laked Solar.

I am so pleased with Lakes Solar. It’s a big investment but Elliot was excellent and explained everything very thoroughly. The team that installed the panels were great too. They explained the app to us and took a lot of time to ensure we understood it. I would highly recommend Lakes Solar.

When I started investigating solar panels I hardly knew anything about them, in particular how many different variables there are or their respective merits. So it was a big learning process for me. My instinctive preference was for a local firm. I made enquiries with dozens of local firms. Lakes Solar were far and away the most helpful, in particular Elliot. He was quick to respond to queries and unstinting with his time, and tolerant and friendly when I forgot something or needed it explaining twice - and his explanations were not just sales waffle, they made sense. More often than not he came to my house to explain things in person, and if need be physically point out where the wires etc would go. I should add that he was equally helpful when, after installation, I asked for help with getting the best out of the panels in relation to a change of tariff with my electricity supplier. The guys came to install the panels when they said they would and worked professionally and efficiently. They were friendly and helpful and did their best to cause as little inconvenience as possible. There was a small problem in that there was not sufficient space to provide the ideally safe amount of airspace and circulation for the battery and inverter in the cupboard where they had been intended to go; but with some discussion and some adjustments which they made it was resolved. Their price was not the lowest (although it seemed that no two companies offered an exactly similar specification), but it was within the price range indicated on the overview website that I had looked at, and seemed to me to be good value for what i was getting. It comes with a sophisticated app which can deliver information about how the system is performing (and can be used if - unlike me - you are sufficiently tech-savvy, to control it). It comes set to standard settings. The system has been in place for just over 2 months and I can see that it is saving a significant amount on my electricity bills; I cannot say how longlasting it will be (though the guarantees are reassuring); all I can say is so far so good, and I am happy to have chosen Lakes Solar

Delighted with the quality of all the equipment supplied and the workmanship of the team. My solar PV and battery system is performing well, and the EV charger recommended and installed by Lakes Solar at the same time is working perfectly. So pleased we went with solar panels with Lakes Solar . They came on the day we agreed and installed the panels in one day. The electrician worked until 9:30 pm that evening to achieve this. After instalment we received help and guidance with the technical bits. The lads were really hard working and had to be encouraged to stop for a cuppa. They set my app up and checked it was working which is full of useful information. Lakes Solar from start to finish was a brilliant experience. Having no knowledge of solar panels I started researching with large company’s who became very pushy. Lakes Solar was a very different experience on my doorstep where I could talk to someone face to face. The installation was a breeze with scaffolding going up the same day as panels inverter and EV charger complete very quickly up and running immediately. The scaffolding taken down a few days later. The whole team were excellent I can’t recommend them highly enough, I now find myself obsessed with the app to see how the panels are performing which is very good. So yes 100% I would say use Lakes Solar for anything solar and EV related.

When one person wants solar and their partner doesn't because they have concerns about our position being suitable for solar and worries about our new roof, there are lots of questions and then even when a decision is agreed there different ideas about which solar system will be best. Darren and Elliott were never pushy; we made contact and they responded promptly. Elliott listened to all my partner's concerns, and when we were both agreed that solar would work for us, Elliott fully explained the effects of my different ideas. All work was completed to the time agreed and everything was cleared up afterwards. That was in May. Now into September we happy we have a system that suits us perfectly. Excellent customer service, arrived when arranged and quick turnaround for quotes and installation. Professional and friendly installation team using their own in house staff rather than sub contractors. Good quality equipment too. Installation completed within a day. Highly recommended.

We weren't sure whether our house was suitable for solar panels, as over half of it is flat, but one day Lakes Solar arrived to fit panels to our neighbours' very similar house. Chatting to them, and to the installers, we were amazed to find a local company with 100% five star reviews. To cut a long story short, Elliot came to check out our premises and, in fairly short order, Ryan and Danny arrived last week to install our set up. I have to say that the whole thing was, surprisingly, a breeze, everyone we've dealt with has been delightful, and we've now joined the ranks of solar app bores! We would happily recommend adding Lakes Solar to the companies you should check out if you're considering adding solar energy to your mix.

Lakes Solar provided absolutely brilliant service. An electrician was dispatched and it took him 5 minutes to fit a new solar meter. I would highly recommend the company.

Really pleased with the team from Lakes Solar. From initial enquiry, site visit and guidance on options available they have been very professional. From confirming order to install was just short of 8 weeks, scaffold was erected two days before install with no issues. Installation of panels, inverter and batteries took about 6 hours by a team of 3 very professional and polite fitters. They ensured that cables were routed to my liking minimising visibility from the exterior of the property. No damage was done to the natural slate roof, cuts in tiles and infilling/flashing all done very well, solar panels are very secure. No mess or arising left on site and time taken to explain how the app and system work. Highly recommend. John MH

Darren, Danni and the team have been nothing but helpful and quick at answering any queries I’ve had prior to and during installation. Information sent out after initial visit for Darren and once electrical engineer visit carried out, multiple possible installation dates given for my choosing. Install carried out on date requested and the team were professional throughout, tidy and technical knowledge second to none. Would recommend Lakes Solar to anyone, top job

Thank you Lakes Solar! After speaking with a couple of other so called ‘solar companies’ I was getting rather dismayed with the utter nonsense they had been telling me, to the point I wasn’t going to go ahead with a system. Then through verbal recommendation I spoke with Darren and Danni at Lakes Solar, nothing was too much trouble, the install happened as scheduled, we had really great team of people fitting the system, all very professional, polite and couldn’t of been more helpful and accommodating. So I’ve been left with the most amazing solar system with storage batteries, only 5 (sunny) days in and we’ve been off grid since, love the app, in particular the information on reduction of nasty gasses and effective trees planted. Nice to feel your doing your thing for a great local company, even more so our planet! Thank you Darren, Danni and the whole team 👍
