Overall, we have had a positive experience with Richard and his team. The installation team are a lovely bunch, turned up on time, worked hard and did a good job. The scaffolding company they use are equally good and responsive to a couple of concerns we had.

Rob was fab working through my existing 10 year solar system, installing the battery/inverter - no fuss - explaining the plan and delivered to it with no hassle - excellent !

Very helpful throughout. My solar installation took a long time while because of issues that were not Chiltern Solar's fault (issues with my roof), but they worked with me throughout to get there as soon as possible. Definitely recommend.

Chiltern Solar installed our solar system in 2022. We have had excellent results from the system and support from the company.

Brilliant experience from survey to installation. Very competitive quote and good communication all through the process. The team did a great job of the installation; workmanship was all to a really high standard and they were a nice group of guys to deal with. I’d recommend Chiltern Solar without hesitation.

Chiltern Solar carried out a solar & battery storage installation for us in April 2024. This has been so successful that we recently asked them to add a second battery to the system and we are now getting real benefits from this. We have been very satisfied with the service provided by Chiltern Solar throughout, and even more importantly our electricity bills are now minimal, even in the winter months. I would strongly recommend Chiltern Solar to anyone embarking on a similar journey and would also recommend investing in as much battery storage upfront as can be afforded - that is the real game changer.

One Week ago my installation took place, so still very early days yet to see how well the system is operating and it is in the Winter! I would like to commend everybody at Chiltern Solar for the excellent job of my solar PV installation. All the team have been excellent ,from Mike who carried out the initial survey, to the staff in the office Dorothy, Sam, Julie and anybody else I've missed, to the guys who did the panel Installation who re-jigged the configuration of the panels to a neater setup, and of course Kevin the electrician. Everybody at Chiltern Solar have provided an excellent service throughout and I cannot recommend them highly enough as a company. Looking forward to some sunny days!

Great from start to finish 😀 Any issues (permission for scaffolding) were communicated, so we knew when everything was happening. The people who worked on it, scaffolders, roofers and electricians were good and particularly Daryl who did the walk throughs on the Apps etc once upon and running 😀

Very pleased with our installation which was completed five months ago and has been working flawlessly ever since. Having looked previously at the community group purchasing schemes I was concerned about the prospect of an unknown installer completing the work so did the research and put my trust in this local firm with a history of great reviews. Dealing with Chiltern Solar was straightforward throughout with calls and emails all attended to very quickly. The install itself took two trips because of a dual aspect roof layout but the team worked hard to minimise disruption and kept us informed along the way. The after-sale support has been great and we were up and running with our energy export setup in just a couple of weeks. Having had time for any teething problems to arise - of which there weren't any - I can't recommend them highly enough.

Can't rate these guys high enough, I've had a first class experience with Chiltern Solar. My roof couldn't quite get the amount of panels predicted but Mike who did the survey reconfigured it to make things work. The installers Tom and Harry were very polite, and hard working and got our 10 panels up in 1 day. Kevin the electrician was excellent clean and found a better way of routing the cables internally rather than on the outside of the house, and even gave me some tips for my lighting to my patio projecy so kept his number for that one. The whole experience was seamless and no stress. They use good quality equipment and are priced well compared to the government bulk buy scheme I looked at last year. If you want solar installed you won't go wrong by using Chiltern Solar, I would 100% recommend them to anyone interested.

Our first contact with Chiltern Solar was excellent Sam was friendly helpful and professional. They have done a fantastic job installing our solar system and battery storage. The Surveyor was helpful, informative and not pushy. Their installation team were very professional, neat, tidy and thoughtful and went out of their way to make the installation process quick, straightforward and trouble-free all done in two days. They arrived exactly when they promised and completed the job very quickly. Thank you to all the team. Highly recommended.

An excellent experience from start to finish, and (4 days in) we're delighted with the result. Richard (surveyor) was knowledgeable, helpful and proactive in dealing with our queries, and the installation team (Matt the electrician, Eddie and Colin) were excellent throughout. Communications from the office team was also very good. We got 3 quotes, all for a similar price and specification, we went with Chiltern because they were the most responsive in dealing with our questions. Really pleased we did, highly recommended.

Great installation by Chiltern Solar this week, my first enquiry to them was over 6 months ago, delayed mainly due to planning issues. All the team from the initial enquiry to completion have been approachable, friendly, professional and responsive. Thoroughly recommend.

I cannot fault the entire process; it was very efficient from my original sales enquiry to the survey then on to the install. The surveyor was up front about what we could have ( I have a east/west facing roof and not pushing for more than required) and with an earliest install date they could install if I went with them. The installers and scaffolding teams were very efficient. The only issue was that the batteries would be delayed (due to supply chain issues). The installers left me with a working Solar PV that reduced my grid usage by 60%. Now the batteries have been added, I am now down to almost zero grid usage ( less that 0.5kWh)

Great experience from start to finish. No pushy sales calls, survey carried out by knowledgeable assessor. Excellent solar panels and battery storage system installed, significantly reducing our electricity bills from day one. Easy to use and monitor from an app on my phone. Highly recommend.

superb after-sales

When a company’s after sales is as good as their sales pitch you know you’re onto a good thing. I feel the need to write another good review for Chiltern Solar…. my initial review was to state how pleased I was with them from conception to installation. However, I have needed some “baby-sitting” to get to grips with the i-boost linked to my solar panels and each time the team there at Chiltern Solar have promptly helped me out in various ways. In these competitive times it is surely good to know that they are unlike some businesses who do not wish to even talk with you after they have your money. I have found that with Chiltern Solar their “after sales” is superb and I hope my comments will help any future customers.

A very positive experience from start to finish and a very professional and friendly group of people both on site and in the office. The survey and explanation of the options was clear and the quotation easy to understand. The solar PV installation included a Tesla Gateway and Powerwall and the re-connection to my EV charge point in the garage. All of the staff working on site were very careful and worked hard to complete the installation, setting things up for me an explaining how it all works. I would highly recommend Chiltern Solar and use them again.

Chiltern Solar are very easy to deal with. No hard sell. The quotation process gave lots of detail and queries were always dealt with promptly. Installation was efficient and end result seems very good so far. I can thoroughly recommend them.

Really positive experience from first contact over 6 months ago. Helped me understand what an optimal installation was with no hard sell at all. Lots of good technical explanations and a pre installation visit to check it would all fit. Actually installation took 2 days and everything seems great. And now the sun is shining too so timing perfect. Highly recommend a very professional company who know their stuff.
