Excellent service from Marvel Heating from start to finish. Rob was polite, knowledgeable and never pushy, and I was consulted at every stage — including having my input on where the heat pump should be located. The installers, Darius and Craig, were fantastic — hardworking, professional, and very tidy. Any minor niggles after installation were dealt with quickly by the customer service team. Best of all, the house is now consistently warm and it’s costing less to run than when we were using gas for a few hours a day. Highly recommended.

Generally good, with a few issues along the way. Very friendly team. You can tell they're genuinely wanting to help you. Ours was a large job: installation of underfloor heating throughout the property plus an air source heat pump. The sales process was straightforward, informative & clear, with a sales director coming to our house to talk us through our options, explain how it works etc. This was followed by a site visit, once we'd signed up, which was undertaken by engineers who really knew their stuff. We did question whether the pump would be sufficient for our property, and Dwaine and the team insisted that it was. We have now had our first winter with the heat pump & underfloor, and it all appears to be working quite well (after a few small issues with Marvel were swift to resolve). The main negative we have found with Marvel has been communication (which they seem to have resolved since, by hiring some more manpower to head up some of the operational elements). During the course of the time we worked with Marvel, communication was a pain point, as a lot of the comms seemed to bottleneck with Dwaine, Marvel's key decision-maker - clearly a very knowledgeable and busy man. However, I understand they have recruited someone else to manage the operations in those moments where Dwaine is unavailable. Broadly, Marvel offer a good service, with some genuinely great people who work for them. With some improvements to their operational model, reducing bottlenecks, spreading accountability, they could easily be an excellent, category-leading company.

This is our unbiased review of Marvel Heating & Renewable Energy Ltd. I personally looked for many weeks to see who installed Heatpump Central Heating Systems. I came across Marvel on their site and arranged for a free survey of our home. From start to finish our experience is nothing short of pure delight. I will mention individuals as purely a honest and grateful acknowledgement of their services. Dwain Director a honest and respectful owner. Morgan engineer absolutely outstanding individual. Ellis outstanding engineer. Reece outstanding engineer. Harley outstanding engineer. Adam electrician fantastic bloke again responsible and respectful. We cannot praise this company enough from start to finish it's been superb. As for recommendations we'll look at our review it's speaks for itself. I have been impressed with every Marvel employee involved in our air source heat pump installation, from the initial phone call and feasibility visit through to the engineers coming out to tweak our system to get it working perfectly. Our house was perhaps not the ideal property being an older house with multiple extensions, complicated pipework including some microbore, the need for a fairly long outdoor run due to having no sideway, and a large, difficult to heat open-plan downstairs living area. There has never been any hard sell from Marvel, just a very honest assessment of what they could and couldn't do. The engineers have all worked like Trojans - initially having to manually lift the ASHP up to a first floor wall location to limit the external run, and then eliminating all the 10mm pipework added by different plumbers over the years. We have had to have several follow up visits over a couple of months, but it was never suggested that we would have to put up with a system that we were not quite happy with. Having just got through a very cold spell over Christmas and New Year without the need for any back up heating, I can say that I am delighted with the all round, all day (if you need it) gentle heat provided by the ASHP. We had the ASHP installed in September 25, but also had solar panels and two batteries installed in June 25. The batteries allow us to buy virtually all of our electricity at £0.14 kWh using the three cheap charging periods offered by the Cosy Octopus tariff. On the coldest sub-zero days, the daily cost will be for around the same as two shorter bursts of gas central heating each day plus some gas fire top up last winter. On slightly milder days, the daily cost is much less. I plan to switch to the Intelligent Octopus Flux tariff for the summer when all we do is export (all ASHP costs will be covered by the solar panels). This offers much better export rates than the Cosy tariff. I will then switch back around September when the exporting diminishes and we have to use the grid again. Overall, looking at our use against costs so far, I'm anticipating saving about two-thirds of our combined energy bill. It has all required a significant up front investment, but it will all pay for itself over time. More importantly, we get a much better 'quality' of heating throughout the day. As a recent retiree, this is perhaps the most pleasing outcome of switching to the ASHP. Many thanks to everyone at Marvel.

The service from the office staff is superb, any minor issues were dealt with swiftly. However the installation dates, day 2, was changed without prior information. Luckily I can work from home but better communicaction internally, and with customers would be better. In general I would recommend Marvel, and this heating system. We are toasty and the unit it much quieter than expected and I was informed with everything explained throughout.

From quote to install the whole process was easy and efficient. All visits were arranged around ourselves as full time workers and following any works clean up was spotless. We had a few minor issues with install but these were rectified quickly and communication was swift. We are very pleased with the air source heat pump and after some minor adjustments in shower times (family of 4 with 2 girls!) we have noticed a saving in our fuel bills already and coming into the winter months the house is comfortably heated. We would recommend Marvel for any works.

We would like to thank Marvel for making the process of installing a new heating pump straightforward and stress free. All the way through the team were very helpful, friendly and professional. The priority service for our young family after our gas boiler started to fail was much appreciated. The teams over the two days were respectful of our property, informative and able to offer advice, the rubbish was collected in a timely fashion. Everything went like clockwork. My Marvel Journey In Sept 2025 I decided to look into the possibility of green energy. I made contact with several Renewable Energy companies for a quote for a heat pump and solar panels. Of all the responses I got, only Marvel offered a face to face meeting with a company representative. In fact it was arranged within 24 hours. This was important to me as I didn't want to deal with such a large undertaking totally on line. There was of course a sales pitch but Ian was affable and I wasn't made to feel pressured. Along with a list of questions I had comprised for myself to help compare quotes and Ian happy to take the time to answer them,I felt informed and reassured that I could progress with this venture. Financially, there was not much difference in the quotes between companies but Marvel were happy to agree with some specific requests that I required and the price included everything, including scaffolding. Once the decision to go ahead was made and an initial deposit paid, it only took a few weeks for installation to begin. There was a delay whilst I got my finances in place but again Marvel were happy to accommodate my situation. Throughout this time Marvel staff were available to deal with any anomalies that occured, efficiently and quickly and happy to answer any further questions. Appointments for a site surveyor and an Engineer were arranged. There were some differences of opinions as to the location of the equipment between the two of them, which meant a few compromises but nothing I was unhappy about (always have a plan B) and then, based on a discussion with the site surveyor I asked Marvel for a requote to upgrade the inverter and battery and add extra solar panels. The extra cost was surprisingly less than expected. As soon as the contracts were signed, an agreed start date was arranged along wirh a schedule of payments. It's always stressful to me, paying out a large sum of money for goods and services to a company that isn't local or familiar, plus a grilling from the bank to make sure I wasn't the victim to a scam, but again Marvel staff were available for reassurance. Two days before installation date I returned home to find scaffolding erected-relief-it was going to happen. Installation day- started at 0710hrs. Heat pump installers, electricians, roofers, delivery people, each and every one of them were polite, friendly, helpful and respectful of me and my property, they left little to no mess and their work ethic was truly amazing. Heat pump installers -Morgan,Harley and Elliis. Electrician - Jack Roofer - Danny and all those who's name i didn't write down, Thank you… The rubbish collectors arrived a few days later. My overall experience/satisfaction of dealing with Marvel to date is 95% -because nothings perfect, and there are a couple of details still outstanding (and the review was required within 14 days), BUT I would have no hesitation at all in recommending them in the field of Renewable Energy. Tips - be prepared as best you can. - ask questions and reask for reassurance - be prepared for some compromises, its a huge undertaking and practicalities need to be allowed for. The cost was competitive and the air heat pump system used was very good quality and trustworthy. The engineers were skilled and reliable and always polite and friendly. However, I did have some issues with the ordering and delivery of parts which resulted in the job not being completed on time. Communication with customer could have been a lot better. I did give feedback on these issues and I believe they have introduced a new system to improve this.

Installed 0 February 2025 - Very happy to confirm a positive outcome of your whole process from initial engagement by your sales consultant Adam through the negotiation and formal survey, completed promptly and professionally and the system installed on the agreed scheduled date. Installation trades were great, worked to a high standard of cleanliness and delivered (by a none tradesman’s eye) a fit to a high standard that within the week running, shows every indication of an excellent job. Your office follow up by Kerry is much appreciated with document pack. 10 months on and our experience is great. Installed well and to the correct design we have always been warm when needed with hardly any 'management' needed. The weather compensation seems to anticipate the level of energy needed to keep to the comfortable 19.5 degree target. Plenty of hot water which we never had with our old gas boiler and tank system. The Marvel team have delivered to expectation.

Overall our experience with Marvel in getting a heat pump installed was very good. The initial contacts were polite and knowledgeable, helping us with the purchase. My only issue was with the customer service team who left a lot to be desired. The fitters were excellent and kept our home clean during the process. Getting the heat pump installed in April meant that we could not really appreciate how effective the heat pump was other than learning to use the hot water in a different way. Now the cold weather is here we are so pleased that the house is always warm without the need for additional heating or clothing. We are happy to endorse Marvel heating and would willing discuss our experience with other prospective buyers.

Great and easy heat pump installation! Marvel have been great for our heat pump installation. They got us up and running very very quickly after a last minute change in plans for heating our new build. Communication has been perfect, the team have been very helpful explaining how the new system works and the price was comparable with other quotes. So far the heat pump is working fantastically and we have no regrets either choosing to go for a heat pump or choosing marvel for installation

The key for us was to progress at 'our' pace, and good customer service after installation. Of course the latter can only be experienced after committing, so Marvel's responsiveness during the pre installation period (the sale) was our best indicator. Pre installation progressed promptly, and Marvel dealt with our queries, of which there were many, clearly, fully, and patiently. Installation lasted 3 days with a new tank, the pump, and upgrading half of our radiators. Yes, there was the occasional hiccup but these were dealt with in good time. Commissioning and handover feels rushed, with hindsight. "User instructions" feel fragmented for me, and it's taken a while for me to get my head around the system and tune it to our requirements. That said, the technical support has been excellent and reasonably responsive. I now believe that I know what I'm doing with the controls. Does the system do what they said it would? Yes, but it's still early days for us and we've had mild weather. Did they do what they said they would? Yes. Would I recommend Marvel? Yes.

I was a little hesitant at first to use Marvel, however after speaking to a neighbour who had used them for a similar system(heat pump, EV charger, solar & battery) we went for it. Work was completed quickly and efficiently and to an good standard. We did have an issue with how long it took for hot water to reach our kitchen, after ensuring that there were no other options, Marvel got a team out to relocate the hot water tank. The system now runs brilliantly. The support from Jack (technical queries) and the ladies in the office is much appreciated

Having a heat pump was not something my wife and I had considered until we started having problems with our existing combi boiler. After having several quotes to replace our boiler we were quite surprised on how steep the costs were. This prompted us to call Marvel and I have to say that this first contact was very refreshing. At no point did we feel a hard sell tactic unlike many other companies but rather found the chat to be extremely informative with no pressure to commit to anything. Following on from this we arranged a home visit with Nigel Ronson. Again, very informative but always felt under no pressure to commit. Nigel carried out a walk through survey after explaining very clearly the processes involved in the coming weeks should we decide to proceed. A following meeting was arranged with a surveyor to do more accurate calculations. I forget names but again , very professional and informative. Another meeting with Nigel was then set up to go through the full specifications as supplied be the survey . This entailed having 6 radiators upgraded to meet the specific heat requirements for our property plus the size of the heat pump required to meet our specifications. Nigel was extremely helpful and we really felt he had our best interests in mind at all times. After deciding to proceed with this project we were contacted prior to installation day explaining procedures again and asked to contact the office if there was anything we were unhappy or unsure about. We didn’t need to worry- First day, 2 plumbers arrived. Polite, professional and very hard working. Day 2, 3 plumbers. Everything was moving rapidly with no dramas. Day 3, electrician and 2 new plumbers , again, very professional and informative. System commissioned and explained to us by the electrician. Very happy. Finally, all rubbish was left neatly outside. We were then contacted directly informing us that this was to be collected and left tidy on day 4. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with everything and everyone. Excellent service from start to finish From the initial meeting with the salesman, Keith, to the installation and commissioning of the air source heat pump system, we found the Marvel team to be very professional, knowledgable, efficient and friendly. The whole process of site evaluation visits and system installation went very smoothly, and anything I asked was answered. 2 months on the system is working well, and no problems with hot water supply for baths and showers. We're very pleased with the deision to move to a heat pump, and to use Marvel to install it.

Overall Marvel Heating were great, the install didn’t go exactly as planned but when little things go wrong it shows how well the company is with how they put things right and deal with things promptly. Overall Dwain stands out the most, weekends, night times he was available and working to make sure that the job got done. First contact with Marvel on the sales side was easy, it does take a little time to gather information to get a price for the system, you also need to have a survey carried out. Once the order was placed the install team was straight on it and my job was started much quicker than others were offering, 3-4 weeks at the time while others were 12 weeks. All the engineers that attended were spot on, good workmanship and tidy. Just what you would like and expect from a decent company. There was a problem with the fuse board, the wire wasn’t large enough to cope with the load, I had a car charger on the same board and when both were running it tripped. After raising this with Marvel, they quickly investigated and sent an engineer to install a new larger wire. Again, some companies might have argued but the work was carried out and in a timely manner. As for the actual heat pump, I had it installed in August, I had my gas took out (by Marvel) and it was very worrying in case it didn’t work. It’s the middle of November and we’ve had some cold nights and I’m quite surprised and pleased with how it works. I was used to gas, turn it on and quickly the house starts to warm up, with a heat pump you still have that control but it takes a little longer, but when you get used to it it is no bother at all. The control and app has timers that you can set up, it’s well worth setting these up, it’s easy to do, and then you can play around until you get the temperature where you want it, just like a gas boiler. There’s some negativity about the MELCloud app and people saying the functionality isn’t that great and that put me off a little but it’s really quite fine and easy to use. I have a 5 bedroom detached house, with 17 rooms, the Mitsubishi Ecodan unit is doing just fine. Water is stored at a lesser temperature, the cylinder will be sized bigger than a normal gas boiler but we’ve not ran out of hot water yet and it’s still as hot out the tap and shower. I’ve also got solar and batteries, with tariffs that are available with Octopus my house now has negative energy bills, they are now paying me for energy that I export over and above what I draw from the grid. Even without solar and batteries, I can notice the difference in better energy usage than with gas and I would still recommend a heat pump. Would I use Marvel again, yes I would and I’ve recommended them and heat pumps to friends and neighbours.

From start to finish it’s been a great experience, Everyone I met from the Marvel team was friendly, honest and hardworking . I’m really pleased I went with Marvel as the install was great our house is warm and cozy. I was nervous about transitioning to heat pumps as I had heard horror stories about your home never getting warm enough especially as we have a big old house to heat . Within 12 hrs of turning it on the whole house was warm and the hot water piping hot.

Knowledgeable sales person , no pressure to buy. Detailed inspection by engineer to ensure suitability and answered all questions openly and with great detail. Installers worked quickly and professionally and installed to a high standard. Had some teething issues with the system , a little difficult to get in touch and get an engineer out due to distance. Issue was rectified quickly and since had no issues , very happy with performance of ASHP . Initial worries of house being cold were soon a thing of the past , house is lovely and warm. Great experience with Marvel heating. Starting from initial visit, providing quote and right suggestions to the installation process - all went very smooth. All my anxiety was allayed by the team installing it and it was a tidy work and they took responsibility of clearing all rubbish as well. Though i don’t have any issues with the heat pump, i feel the team is always there for any trouble shooting and there is good ongoing customer service. Overall i am very happy with my choice of going with a heat pump and happier with the choice of going with Marvel. Thank you.
