John was responsive, communicated clearly, and quickly resolved our solar and EV issues. Lawgrove Energy is outstanding—I wish I’d used them for our EV charger instead of Octopus. Octopus took five weeksour meter, while John could have done it in just a few days.

John went above and beyond designing a bespoke system for me to best get the benefit of Solar energy including battery storage. Installation was smooth and hugely professional with a meticulously tidy install. I can't recommend John enough.

We are tremendously pleased with our new solar installation that John and his team have recently completed. The installation was of a fully integrated system included fitting solar panels, battery EV charger. We definitely have a non standard house that required a great deal of thought beforehand from John to design and fit. John provided a very competitive detailed estimate of the job which gave us peace of mind that there would be no extra unforeseen costs once the work was started. John clearly knows his stuff and takes great pride in his work. We now have a system which is saving us money, easy to use and has been fitted with great care so is very neat and unobtrusive. Tracy has been excellent in doing the administration and sorting out the paperwork and accompanying documentation that is required with a new installation. The service we got from John and Tracy was second to none. We can also definitely rest assured that John and Tracy will be on hand to answer any queries and sort out any problems they should they arise.

John did a fantastic job setting up my Voltacon inverters, everything is neat and tidy, and I haven't had to touch the inverters since they were turned on almost two months ago, they just work. I had spent many months trying to find an electrician who would set up just inverters, as I already had my solar panels set up a year ago and had problems with my previous electrician's installation of the inverters, but over ten companies refused, saying they only install complete solar systems. John was the only one who was willing to learn about my set up and do the job, and I recommend him highly for any electrical or solar work.

We had been impressed with John’s knowledge, experience and help installing our EV charger for a non standard installation last year. We did not hesitate to contact Lawgrove Energy again when we were considering a solar panel and battery installation at the start of the year. We knew it was another non standard installation and we had been told by three previous installers either it couldn’t be done, wasn’t worth it or it was too complicated. John did a couple of very thorough site visits, discussed how we could make the outfit viable and tweaked the quote to suit our needs. No sales pressure and happy to answer our questions and adapt the quote. Once we came to a final decision we were offered a number of choices of dates to start and John and his team got on with the job faultlessly. Very respectful of the property and dismantling our old thermal collectors. Excellent clearing up and John made sure everything was up and working before hand over. I was happy to leave him with our keys, which says it all! Great to be supporting a small local company with quality products and excellent installation. Lawgrove Energy have installed solar panels and a battery at my property. Everything was explained clearly in advance and the workmanship was excellent. All working well and the site was always left clean and tidy.

Truly excellent. I would highly recommend Lawgrove a small local family business that have been brilliant. From the very first contact with Tracy through to the install with John and his team. There was no sales pitch or pressure l. The quote was far cheaper than Octopus too. John clearly knows his stuff and kept us I formed throughout the install. I’ve received all certificates and warranties very promptly in handover pack. John and his team were extremely polite knowledgeable and made sure everything was neat and tidy each day. I was shown how the system works and John is available at the end of the phone should I have any questions. Lawgrove Energy have just installed PV panels and a storage battery at our property. Before installation, John explained really clearly how everything worked and we received a lot of information about potential generation/savings etc. After we agreed, the work commenced quickly and was completed to a high standard. A brilliant local company!

I found John to be very knowledgeable about this whole, potentially complicated, area. He was able to give me good advice on solar panel locations and size of battery system. He also spent a lot of time liaising with the electricity organisations to get the right system in place - this was invaluable as they make it hard for people to easily connect, and John smoothed the process very well. The installation was done very quickly and looks professional and neat. This was despite some challenges on my old and uneven roof - he found a way to fit the panels neatly. The system works really well and I'm enjoying the lower electricity bills.

John was asked to investigate an obscure but significant problem in the domestic electrical system involving both a/c and d/c components. He attended very promptly and conducted an extremely thorough appraisal of our system involving several days. Whilst he was unable to identify the fault with any degree of certainty, he put in place an extra layer of security which would allow easier identification of future problems. His approach to the task was totally thorough and professional, keeping us constantly briefed in detail. I have no hesitation in giving him a completely unqualified recommendation.

Excellent installation of our EV charger this week. Certainly met the ‘gold standard quality’. The installation was not a standard, straightforward one but John came out for a thorough site visit, took the time to assess exactly what needed doing and provided a very detailed quotation. Highly recommend - from initial contact, site visit, detailed quotation and the way the work was carried out. 👏👏

John did an amazing job installing our electric car charger. We were a bit apprehensive as it’s an old house (with outdated electrics!!) and the driveway is quite a distance from the house. He talked us through his approach, gave us a very reasonable quote, and got the job done quickly and neatly. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

John fitted an Electric Vehicle charging point at my property. After experiencing frustrations with another installer, I contacted John and he was a breath of fresh air. He quickly attended to carry out a survey, provided a swift and very reasonable quote and navigated through the Government Grant process efficiently and without hassle in less than 24hrs (something the previous installer had taken over 4 weeks to do, without resolution). His workmanship and communication is first class. Highly recommended and best electrician in the area!

John worked to an extremely high standard from start to finish on our new extension, from consumer unit to lighting and smoke alarms all professionally installed clean and tidy. We are very happy with the work John has done for us and would highly recommend him as an electrician you can trust.

John was our first choice for re-wiring our 200 year old property. We have used John before and found him to be knowledgeable, hard working and offering great value for money. In what turned into a complex job, involving the moving of the fuse board, installing data and a security alarm. At all times John was able to explain the work in clear simple terms. His work was of the highest standard. Update: 12 November 2023. We contracted John (our first choice electrician) to complete the first and second fix on a building conversion. Despite recovering from a serious injury, John was highly professional at all times, clear in his explanation of the work required and offering alternative solutions for consideration. An approachable and knowledgeable person with a strong attention to detail. In the 10 years we have used John, I cannot agree or identify with the individual described in John G's review. I have always found John to be totally reliable, trust worthy, true to his word and his work is of the very highest quality. I would use him again and would recommend him without hesitation.

John started off providing a good standard of service however sadly he later on showed himself to be untrustworthy. He initially quoted and committed to providing a level of aftercare (included in the price) to resolve issues with the products he supplied and installed which he now refuses to keep to, despite us still being well within the aftercare period promised and there being multiple faults with the system. We have been chasing him for repairs/replacements to be addressed for a around a year now which he repeatedly said he would fix but has now changed his tune and is instead trying to pass the buck to anyone but himself (us, the supplier and a subcontractor... even though it is clearly written in previous correspondence at the quotation stage that he was responsible for this). We're very disappointed in how much his attitude has changed, it turns out he simply can't be trusted and is happy to ignore key features of agreements that clients have paid for.
