Get a heat pump just not necessarily with AIRA

Would definitely recommend getting a heat pump and the AIRA product seems good - the house is warm and bills are massively down. Our experience of AIRA installers (subcontractors) and area manager however has been less impressive. Installers were in a rush to get finished from the moment they arrived and adamant that they were doing the job in two days no matter what. This lead to things being rushed and they left without fully commissioning the system. Another AIRA subcontractor was sent around to fully commission the system. We raised some issues with them and he agreed that the heat pump base had been installed incorrectly and that the pipework in the cupboard was not up to scratch and was in fact unsafe. Rather than simply rectifying these issues there was over a week of a lot of back and forth where we were basically accused of telling the contractors to install the heatpump base the wrong way round. Eventually, the subcontractors reluctantly agreed to come back and sort out (sort of!) the issues. None of the initial problems in themselves would have put me off dealing with AIRA, but their handling of our concerns leaves a lot to be desired. Basically, left with the impression that it is the luck of the draw who your installers are and that they are not properly scrutinised/trained. We were told we were buying a premium product but the installation service does not match that.

Good support for heating system…

Good support once the heating system was installed. Had a minor issue which we spoke to support about and the next day Zeke one of their technicians, called round and solved the problem there and then. He also checked the system and cleaned the filter. Cannot fault the back up given by Aira.

Frustration Averted!!!

After a series of frustrating experiences with AIRA, particularly following a poorly executed air pump installation, I had started to lose confidence in the company, but in a recent visit, Alfred B completely changed that. He took the time to carefully review the work, undo parts of the rushed installation, and clearly explained what needed to be corrected to meet proper standards and regulations. His communication was excellent throughout, and his knowledge and professionalism really stood out. Most importantly, Alfred showed genuine integrity by focusing on doing the job properly rather than simply moving on quickly. He is a real credit to AIRA and an excellent example of the kind of professionalism customers hope to encounter.

Best heat pump design and exceptional employees

From the initial sales visit through to the design and installation, I have been really impressed with the Aira team. The courtesy and consideration they have shown, at every stage but especially during the installation phase has been exceptional. Hope the Aira leadership team appreciate how lucky they are to have such great representatives. Big thank you to all the team involved and especially Scott Anderson, Iain Wood, Nick Painton, Louis Walsh and Tim Heard.

Nice system

Nice system, although locked down from the customer. On the other hand just give them a call 24/7 and they will try to help or send someone out to fix it

Excellent customer support!

Robert Speed came to fix a pressure drop issue. We had some existing pipe work in our system which had been having issues and they’ve been super helpful to problem solve and fix the issue. They service and support with Aira from an on going perspective and the piece of mind that whatever the issue is won’t cost me a penny more is so reassuring. They are an absolute joy and brilliant customer service! A combined Heating and hot water got a SCOP of 4.00 for the last couple of months in the cold of winter which I’m very happy with how the system is performing too!

Genuinely the best money we've spent on…

Genuinely the best money we've spent on this house. AIRA were pricier than the competition (not by much), but it was well worth going with them. It's saved us a bloody fortune in energy (we inherited a 24kwh electric boiler!), and Alex and Josh who installed the system were fantastic, especially post installation when most guys would have simply moved on to the next job.

The company are a shambles

The company are a shambles. My elderly parents decided to go with Aira as they are worried about their old boiler failing. The Lady who visited them was lovely and they felt sorry for her as she had been driving 7 hours that day which she said was normal and also having three customers to survey on top, so working 12 hours a day usually. They paid the Technical Survey fee and since then have lost all confidence, no replies to emails, they call customer service who say they will get someone to call them back which doesn't happen. This has been ongoing since December. I called on their behalf and asked for a refund and was told only one person can issue a refund and she will call me back, that was three days ago. I advise to avoid this company, they treat their staff and customers the same, abysmally.

Great experience

Ben Robson came to check our system as we had an issue with our underfloor heating. He was amazing. He checked the whole system and found the issue which was not related to the Aira heat pump rather the electrican’s working. He was extremely polite and very knowledgeable, a true asset to the company.

Heat pump install

Heat pump install - what a great bunch of lads, luke, Jacob and Scott. Unobtrusive, always asking before doing something, telling you what's happening when and so quiet ! If we had to have house turned upside down again we'd want these guys.

Get everything in writing!

Aira does not provide information relating to services provided in writing. That way, when there is a discussion on what services should have been provided and what actually was provided they say that "you didn't understand" - blaming the victim for them not provided necessary information for a financial contract - is this even legal? When I raised a formal complaint, for which there should be an official process, they just ignore the emails.

Outstanding service from start to…

Outstanding service from start to finish - from the initial inquiry to the final commissioning. This Company was faultless, help was given before the installation with all the paperwork necessary for the grant. The installation team, Cory et al arrived promptly every day, were quiet, efficient and went out their way to minimise disruption despite the attention of three inquisitive dogs.. The install was complex. Notwithstanding they did an amazing job, kept us up to date at every step and extra points for having a little tidy up at the end of the day. They were a pleasure to have around for the week. Honestly couldn't be more satisfied and heartily recommended - for excellent service..

Title£149 Taken – No Survey, No Service, No Response

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Aira Home UK. I paid £149 for a home technical survey. The payment was taken immediately, but no surveyor attended and no survey was carried out. There has been no completed service and no follow-up confirmation. I contacted the company multiple times by phone and received no meaningful assistance. Each call resulted in delays and no resolution. I then sent a formal email requesting either the service to be delivered or a refund. I received no response. As a result, I have had to request a chargeback through my bank because the service I paid for was not provided. In my experience, this has been unprofessional and frustrating. Taking payment without delivering the agreed service and then failing to respond to communication is unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to be cautious and ensure clear confirmation of service delivery before making payment.

Amazing service from start to finish

Amazing service from start to finish - calls ahead of the install were reassuring and kept me up to date (thanks Scott) and the install team, Lewis (Louis?), Mark and Dean were brilliant. The install was tricky, but they did an amazing job, kept us up to date at every step and extra points for having a little tidy up at the end of the day. They were a pleasure to have around for the week. Honestly couldn't be happier - 10/10 service.

Comfort guarantee

We had our ASHP installed in March 2024. However, during this winter our kitchen/dining room was colder than we needed and upon contacting customer services it transpired we needed an additional radiator installed. Huge thanks to Claire Maxwell, Customer Support lead and Zeke (installer) for outstanding customer service and quality of workmanship.

We have just had a HEAT PUMP installed…

We have just had a HEAT PUMP installed by AIRA with any company all things sometimes don't go to plan but AIRA have a lot of good technical staff of hand to help us through these difficult instillations'. The commissioning engineer Robert speed put my mind at ease explained everything regarding the AIRA system which is working as it should Brilliant hand over to me.

An Excellent experience from start to finish, install was brought forward = result! Install team were professional and courteous treated myself and my home with respect, now it was a big job and potentially a large inconvenience but Billy,Phil and james made sure it was a pleasant experience, and on top of that a quality bit of kit that was thoroughly explained throughout my journey to having a Heat pump.

Had a complete central heating put into Bungalow AIRA put an air to water heat pump??best job I've ever had done fabulous AIRA stripped all old pipes and radiators out replaced with new bigger ones they done a marvellous job only took 3 days and left the house absolutely immaculate Thanks Team AIRA Regards Michael

We had an excellent experience with Aira heatpump installation, starting with communication, initial assessment, and the amazing work by Jamie and Paul who were absolute professionals. They installed the whole system over 2 days, carefully disposed of the old boiler and water tank, not to mention they left everything spotless clean. They have been very thorough explaining us a few times about how the pump and thermostat work, and how to use the app. We totally recommend Aira heatpump as it works so well, Aira company for the flawless process and Jamie and Paul's company for their work. 5 stars!

Great team came to install the heat pump. Carpets were covered and they very very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Everything is really quiet....I didn't expect the tanks and the heat pump to be so quiet. Very impressed 👍

Top drawer service and truly excellent installation team.

Excellent before and after service - The guy who did the installation went above and beyond. It looks and books nearly - I would recommend air sourced heat pumps, and especially Aira, to anyone.

I couldn't be happier with my decision to use Aira for my Heat Pump installation! They were prompt, efficient, and their service has been incredibly good. When it comes to the technology they implement, the unit is working so well I can already see the savings. We have solar panels and battery storage, so the unit rarely needs to take any energy from the grid, yet our house is warm and cosy at a set temperature permanently. I know it'll be more costly in the colder periods when the unit has to work harder, but based on the first few weeks (when it has been cold!) I think the unit has held up really well. Truly life-changing compared to the amount we were spending on Gas to heat the house. Would not hesitate to recommend Aira to anyone!

Excellent service from start to finish. They make a home visit to spec the heat pump, unlike other companies we contacted. Friendly, knowledgeable and very professional service. Post installation customer support is also fantastic.
