Solar and Battery Installation

Bradley, Max and Steve were 3 of the team installing my solar and battery set up. These guys were so mindful of their surroundings. Very polite and very knowledgeable if I needed to know anything. The installation is very neat and I would not hesitate in recommending this company for installation of solar and battery systems. These guys are a credit to this company.

Really positive experience from start…

Really positive experience from start to finish. Communication was clear, pricing was transparent and the install team were professional, tidy and easy to deal with on the day. The Hypervolt charger was fitted neatly and they even helped reposition my Ring doorbell which was a nice extra touch. Everything was explained properly and the system was set up so I could start charging straight away. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking at a home EV charger install.

Viable Power are both competitive and good to deal with

Viable Power are an excellent company to deal with, in this case installing Solar Power. All solar companies now seem to use the same software to produce quotes, but Viable Power's was comprehensive, including bird netting, an essential but often a forgotten extra. We wanted solar with a battery. Not only that, the quote was extremely competitive, and was followed up with some good advice. I had been fixed on 10-12 panels, but Chris explained with dual aspect more were advisable. He quoted 16, and during installation we added another, for symmetry due to a necessary adjustment. Scaffolding arrived one day, the roofers the next, and then on Tuesday, when we were next available, the electricians, while the scaffolding came down and an accidentally broken tile replaced without asking. Liaison with Chris, Rob the project manager, and Nathan who looked after the office backup all kept in touch throughout. By early afternoon the job was done, and Stephen (the electrician) with two assistants (I'm terrible with names), were able to go home. There are two reasons for only giving them 4 stars. Firstly I did not feel that I had a clear view up front as to the total process - liaison with the DNO prior to and after installation, and then afterwards with our electricity provider (Octopus). We already had a SMETS2 smart meter installed but this does not have an export facility and this is provided by a clamp on the cable via the inverter: Octopus seemed confused by this. I had to deal with Octopus who did not seem to be clear what was supposed to happen. The second reason was that the handover and information given out at the time was minimal: I was in effect left to work out how to set up the system myself, made a little more difficult with Octopus's opacity, albeit they are a market leader. Although I am an electronics engineer with a good understanding of electricity, this has not been totally straightforward without clear guidance.

Both teams turned up on time

Bradley, Max & Steve turned up on time, were very polite and professional. They carried out all their work efficiently and with the minimum of fuss, and cleaned up afterwards. Delighted with the whole experience and I’m up and running by mid afternoon in less than 7 hours. Will absolutely recommend the company. 👍

An Excellent solar panel company

In November 25 I contacted four solar companies - one of which was Viable Power. One company insisted in dealing completely remotely the other three sent representatives to the house. My selection criteria was not solely on price but a combination including quality of interaction and technology solution. After several rounds of discussion, it became clear that Viable Power fronted by Nathan Lee - sales and Robert Waugh - Project Engineer met my criteria. The installation went very smoothly and I should add, a builder friend commented on the scaffolding - it was constructed in a quality way.

Solar panels fitted by Viable Power…

Had solar panels fitted by Viable Power and cannot fault them at all. From the start, the comms were great with Nathan and Rob, explaining the options and arranging everything. Grant and his scaffold team were really good and worked through non stop rain. And Bradley and Max (and roofers) did a top notch job with the installation checking with me for where to put battery and electrics (also working through non stop rain!). Still to set up tariff with Octopus but I’m really pleased with the job they’ve done. Just looking forward to some sunshine now, but then I think they are too! Thank you

Solar installation and setup…

Max and Bradley fitted our solar setup including panels, inverter and battery and all associated cabling. Very pleasant to deal with, quality of work was neat and tidy, they even did a few extra things that was not in their remit. Kept me updated everytime I bought them coffee out, they also gave me a good initial handover from their perspective including safety aspects. They where a subcontractor to Utilita but they treated this as if I had gone direct to Viable IMO. All done in one day. So from installation and experience perspective 5 stars for Max and Bradley of Viable Power

Viable Power - Superb

Viable Power installed solar panels plus a battery for us in December 2025. I really cannot fault this company. They were professional, informative and helpful from start to finish. When they were let down by scaffolders, they went out of their way to ensure we were not inconvenienced, nor was our install. Nathan in the office kept us informed at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend them, indeed I have been telling family and friends to use them if they want to go solar.

Great service and product

Great service and product - Viable Power were recommended by my builder who had them perform an install on his last site. I obtained a quote for 14 panels and 10kwh battery. Viable Power gave me several clear quotes for multiple set-up options to meet my budget and forecasted demand. These were well priced quotes (cheaper than other installers in Surrey) and Viable Power don’t do any hard sale. The install was professional, tidy and effective with a full operational brief offered by the designer and on-site engineer. Well recommended.

Great communication, local company, fair prices and knowledgable people. Viable Power are one of the better specialists in Solar Power installation and I recommend them. Nathan organised the project and Bradley & Max installed it, all of them were extremely professional and helpful.

As there are a few people who I want to name check this may be a long review; but if you want the bottom line, it's brilliant! Everyone at Viable Power has been great. The office staff (Emma, Chris, Nathan) through the owner (Jason) and surveyor (Rob) were all professional, knowledgeable and really quick to reply. The whole installation was done in a single day; the installers (Bradley and Steve) were really quick and the roofers (led by Jon) were great. Everything was discussed and agreed with me at each stage so there were no surprises. Even the scaffolding went up and came down on schedule. Unbelievably delighted with the amount of solar generation. If I have any regrets it's that I didn't get an even bigger battery. Don't hold back on the battery size! Got a quote from Viable as they were doing some work on neighbours installing solar as I wanted a car EV charger installing. Excellent throughout. Happy with the price, very nice job (done exactly how the work was agreed including fitting an additional board. They tidied up, taking all rubbish away and took time to demonstrate the charger. Professional throughout and kept informed of when they would be arriving and when power would need to be dropped etc. Will use them for any future Electrical work needed.

I would highly recommend this company for solar panels. Chris Ball came to do the survey and give us a quote we had a couple of quotes and decided to go with viable power From the quote to paying a small deposit a couple of weeks later the scaffolding was put up on the Friday on the Tuesday the panel fitters Carl and team and the electricians Martyn and his team who all were lovely and polite and helpful started work and was all fitted in a day but ran out of daylight they came back in Thursday to fit the bird netting and all up and running. On the Saturday josh and team came to take the scaffolding down so all done in just over a week so very pleased

From the start Viable power showed us their knowledge and professionalism. The plan for our solar panels was quickly formulated, comprehensive and easy to understand. Due to the size of our system it took over six months for the power company to authorise our panels but once that had happened they were fitted quickly and with minimum of fuss. The app that comes with the solar system is easy to understand and very useful helping us to maximise the efficiency of the power we generate. We have been able to change the times we use certain machines during the day such as dishwashers and washing machines so that we always have enough power in the batteries to cover the cost. Their fitters are friendly, efficient and left no mess. If we had to make any negative comment it would be that we needed to call viable power for updates during the delay by the power company rather than the other way round. However this is a minor issue and we would recommend Viable power to anyone wishing to install solar panels. Their after installation service has been top notch and we are more than satisfied with the solar panels system we have had installed.

The installation came around very quickly once deposit was paid, and the work was carried out to a very high standard and with little disruption to our busy household.

Outstanding service from Chris and Jason at Viable. The initial survey was comprehensive and the quality of proposal presented back to us provided reassurance that we were dealing with professionals. Pricing was realistic and once Viable were instructed we were updated regularly with regard to programme and site arrangements. In order to ensure longevity of the installation, the Viable team were able to recommend a roofing firm to us to carry out roofing improvements prior to the solar install. There was clear communication between all parties and effective site management throughout with scaffolders/skips etc. Site left clean and tidy and the performance of system since installation has been beyond expectations. Very professional service I needed to have my solar panel inverter moved to a different location in the house. Viable Power’s customer service was excellent. It was easy to discuss options and get professional advice on the best way to perform the works, and a quotation was provided in an efficient and timely manner. The installers arrived at the agreed time and, most importantly, did a high quality and very tidy job of the relocation of the inverter. All in all I’m very happy and impressed with Viable Power’s service from beginning to end.

We've just had 16 solar panels installed at our home by Viable Power and I can't recommend the service from them highly enough! Chris Ball in particular managed the whole process from survey to quote to installation exceptionally well and was always on hand to answer any questions we had with our installation.
