The initial contact, survey, advice, and education were first rate. We never felt pressured and were able to develop a renewables package of ASHP, solar PV, and batteries tailored for our house. Cameron guided us through the funding application and completed the DNO approval process very quickly. The full system was installed in 5 days and the installation team were the very best. John and Donnie were very knowledgeable, really good people, and a pleasure to have working in our home. The whole team worked incredibly hard and Donnie even managed to run a 32A supply and install our new induction hob while he was here. There is some room for improvement in the post installation hand over, specifically training on system operation. Also, the FHP Cloud unit that comes with the Midea ASHP did not work and had to be replaced. This took 5 weeks however this was not CMS's fault. Mark and Jordan have communicated and been responsive throughout and have worked to deal with any issues. I have confidence in recommending them for renewables installation. We will certainly be calling them to get our EV charging point installed later this year. ** Update 04/03/2026 ** We have had our ASHP/Solar PV/batteries operating for 2 years since installation in February 2024 and thought it would be useful to show how it all actually turned out. I have attached 3 graphs summarizing system performance: cost, energy import, and solar generation. Cost - annual energy costs are approximately half of the cost of running the gas boiler. Cumulative costs actually decrease all summer due to money made exporting from the solar PV. That feels good. Solar PV - follows a predictable seasonal pattern to generate 4.5 - 5 mWh of energy. Over the year, roughly half is consumed in the home and half is exported. Energy Import - energy use from the grid is a bit over one third what it used to be and is consistent year over year. Not only does this save money, it clearly achieves our environmental objective of lowering our carbon footprint. Our home is 2 storey, 4 bed, 2003 construction, well insulated (incl. cavity wall), and double glazed. CMS designed the system based on their site visit and calculations. It seems to me that this design stage and understanding of building construction is fundamental to success/failure. CMS seem very good at this and have been proven remarkably accurate in their predictions. Still couldn't be any more pleased - still 5 stars!

I used CMS Surveyors Ltd for the design and installation of a Domestic Solar Solution using a GivEnergy 5kW Invertor, 6.2kW Solar array and GivEnergy 9.5kW Battery System. They guided me through the requirements for this scheme which used a GSE in-roof PV Solar Array. Application to my DNO was completed on my behalf and approved. The installation went incredibly well with all aspects fully discussed with me beforehand and ultimately handed over by Scott. All cable routes and equipment were located in a very tidy manner and I'm delighted with it all. Working well, highly commended, delighted

From the moment we had our first contact in March 2025 with Cameron & Scott, we have been impressed by the overall professional service and the time taken to explain the differences between traditional gas boiler central heating & this renewable energy system. The moment I met John & Stuart a few days before the work started I knew we were in safe hands. I really appreciated them taking the time to do their site visit on Friday afternoon and outline the process for the coming days. On the Monday morning they arrived on time and with apprentices Rory and Jack ensured our carpets were protected before starting the removal of the old system. The enthusiasm of John and Stuart is infectious. I'm sure both apprentices will benefit over the coming years of learning, not just the skills of repairs & installation, but the importance of customer service. They ensured best practise of keeping the customer updated on their progress so that we were reassured throughout the 5 days. Listening to both gentlemen explain 'how to do the patricular task' they were working on to Rory & Jack at various stages reminded my wife and myself of our 'on the job training' & how lucky CMS is to have vetrans like John and Stuart. You cannot beat 'hands on' experience from skilled workers. In addition, the electricians who attended on the Wenesday, led by David Hamill were also first class. Davy took the time to outline what his team would be doing and answered all of my questions before leaving 'Big' Jack and Sean to get on with the electrical work. All their efforts were first class. A total team effort. Thank you as well to Scott for personally attending on Wednesday morning when we expressed a concern. By attending and taking the time to listen to our observations, we were reassured and our concern addressed. On Friday we were left with an amazing energy efficient product. Within hours we started to notice the positives of the air sourced pump heating system. Very impressive. We are now looking forward to the installation of our solar panels and storage battery in the coming weeks. UPDATE 23.9.2025 I've waited until now to provide my final thoughts on the work CMS has provided now that we had installed then commissioned on 1.8.2025 our solar array, hybrid inverter and storage battery. The electrical work was undertaken by David Hamill and Jack. Once again a first class service was provided. John Devine popped in to do a small alteration on a waste pipe roof location to facilitate the new solar panels & the array was put in place by roofers Kevin and Chris. Once all the equipment was on site, the chaps completed the job without any fuss and were excellent. Thank you to all the workers. Over the past weeks my wire and I have got to grips having the new systems and quite honestly our home is quieter and cosy as we move towards Winter. CMS Surveyors contractors throughout have been excellent and totally recommend the teams involved.

Excellent team. I had an ASHP, solar panels, and battery installed. The guys came out and did a thorough inspection of my house, and discussed my needs from the system. We had some hesitations after a few concerns came to mind, but the guys made themselves very much available to discuss these, and found ways to put us at ease. The install was quick, done in 4 days

We were delighted with CMS after the installation of a heat pump, solar panels and storage batteries. Having learned about how essential a skilled installation was to the efficiency of the heat pump, we were sceptical of the salesmen from other companies who attempted sell us a generic system that suited them (as opposed to our property). When the Director of Renewables from CMS, Cameron Bryce, came to the property, the first thing he wanted to do was a proper heat-loss calculation, so we knew we were on the right track. The data generated ensured we finished up with a bespoke system for our 1960s home. Our existing pipework and radiators did not need to be replaced. The installation itself was stress-free: The scaffolding went up in one day, carpets were protected, and work was completed in a week, without any mess being left behind. John’s experience and knowledge of heat-pump systems was impressive and he took the time to demonstrate how everything worked. Mark was on-hand to answer all our questions and coordinate the various teams of professionals during the week; he also setup the two online monitoring systems for the equipment. The solar engineer, Jordan, was available to answer our questions by phone and message as we got to grips with the hybrid inverter. The system was installed in mid-April 2024 when the weather was still cold. The heating, hot water and shower all worked well and the efficiency of the heat pump is better than we expected, even for hot water. The heat pump is surprisingly quiet at only 35dB. Since commissioning, we have only drawn 17% of our energy from the grid and most importantly, our home has emitted no CO2. We would recommend CMS without hesitation and have done so to our friends and colleagues.

I had Solar and battery installed. The team were knowledgable and helpful. Everything has been installed and is up and running well. They also provide after install support which is great. Trustworthy company. Would be happy to use again.

We were keen to commission a single company certified for both Heat Pump and Solar, and our client experience with CMS has naturally fallen into a sequence which began with the initial competitive estimate and quotation stage. This was accomplished with professionalism and a high degree of careful analysis including detailed heat loss calculations and strategic design of the eventual ASHP Solar and Battery installations. CMS showed a thorough knowledge of this building type, and are able to adroitly design the installation layout. The second, more intensive, phase involved consecutive deliveries of considerable quantities of hardware, erection of scaffolding etc. Inevitably, some components did not appear when required, and both (excellent) work teams were at times 'working around' one another and the stack of delivered hardware. Despite these hitches, the installation teams completed almost all of the work to a very high standard within the working week, with the complete system being tested and commissioned. We cannot praise the quality of the electrical and ASHP system teams too highly. We have subsequently been able to find a fresh utility tariff that enables us to charge the battery overnight at a low kW/h rate, and have arranged for the gas meter to be removed. Since then the few sunny days have easily refilled the battery with 'free' electricity. A job well done!

I have just had an Air Source Heat Pump, Solar Panels and Batteries specified, supplied and installed by CMS surveyors. The service and support from Cameron and his team through the whole process has been excellent. The installation team, led by John, worked very hard, and they were easy to get along with making the installation a more comfortable process than it might have been. I'm pleased that I chose CMS for this job and have no hesitation in recommending them.

The whole experience from beginning to end with CMS was first class, excellent and easy communication, very helpful in the planning design stage and planning permission. Professional, fast and tidy workmanship and an excellent end result. Wouldn’t hesitate to fully recommend.

Great example of customer focus. Went to CMS after disagreements with a big renewables company about radiator types and delays in installation. CMS had a quick turnaround: it took them less than 3 months from initial contact to system installation and commissioning. On top of that, they were happy to customize the system to our family needs and preferences. The installation went smoothly: very pleasant, respectful and knowledgeable workers. Overall very pleased with the service and with their attention to our needs.

Fantastic service and support. Great quality installation. The staff had the knowledge on the various systems available and how the HES funding worked. Installers were clean tidy and knew what they were doing. Would recommend!
