Steve Duckworth electrical installed 2 arrays of solar panels for us in 2016, which have worked well. The installation was seamless and professional. This May I noticed one of the panels had developed a fault. Steve's lads came out - very polite and once again, professional. They sorted out the problem without any fuss. I would heartily recommend the company.

We approached Steve to quote for solar panels/powerwall/car charger over a year ago. At the time, there were so many options available on the market, that I needed some time to think about what we needed. Alas, fast forward a year later! We went ahead with Steve, owing to the nature of his company: a local independent with a great customer focused team who could answer calls and attend to queries [Shawnie/admin team are absolute super stars, and answered my queries no matter how trivial they might have seemed] - this really allowed me to put confidence in the whole team. I wanted a neat looking system with minimal, ducting and cables visible and one which could integrate together - the Tesla was the option of choice. The price was competitive. Solar: we had panels installed on our dormer/roof - 3 strings in total. whilst the scaffold was up; it was key to maximise the number of panels we could place on the roof. Powerwall: we had one Powerwall in the cellar Wall connector: one wall connector with pen earth DNO application: completed via Steve's team on our behalf Handover pack: for electric companies and certifications completed and received The system was fitted with Steve's team, and went relatively smoothly bar a few niggles which can occur on a job like this i.e trying to conceal wires/cables through walls/plasterboards etc, and avoid ducting etc, which can't be determined until the job starts. Steve was there to troubleshoot if/when the need arose. The system has been up and running for about 2 weeks. We are absolutely over the moon with it. Steve should be commended and could not do enough in terms of attention to detail; the admin team being customer focused with excellent paper work and comms. He is a credit to the industry - he deserves a local award if there is such a thing. Keep it up. I would wholeheartedly recommend. huge thanks

Steve's team installed both an Air Source Heat Pump system and a Solar PV system (with Tesla Powerwall) in our house in Bolton. The heat pump installation was done in January 2025 and the Solar PV in March 2025. I have now used both for sufficiently long to state confidently that the work done was of top quality. The folks who did the installation were thorough and professional. The customer service from Steve's office is also top class. The initial survey was done by Steve himself and just a conversation with him was sufficient to give me the confidence to go ahead with the project. I did not have to change any of the radiators during the process and the heating was perfect during January and February with reasonably high efficiency even during the coldest days. Powerall install and then also an expansion were done professionally. The lads were friendly and answered all the questions, or put me in contact with Steve directly for anything they couldn't. Great team that deserves all the work/business they can get.

Fitted solar panels last year and air source heat pump recently. Really happy and all work well together. Worked for several friends since our panels were fitted who are also happy. Would recommend.

Steve and the team are brilliant to work with. Going above and beyond at their financial risk was a clear sign they aren't your typical hands off company. They want to do a great job and they want to make sure it is exactly what you need. Expertly fitted a full Vaillant system (2x ASHP, Unvented Cylinder, SensorNet etc) and removed the old boiler system. We are now scoping a full solar installation with the team. Highly recommend.

A good friend of mine recommended Steve Duckworth after he installed solar battery air source heat pump at his house. I contacted Steve and from then on the service from him and his team was outstanding. Once the design and quote was agreed installation went very well with Steve’s team working closely with the roofing contractor to install the in roof solar panels. The system was operational in a matter of days. It’s just over a year ago since the installation and any minor teething issues I have had have been dealt with quickly and efficiently. We have had a Tesla battery fitted and a heat pump to work with solar panels which are due to be installed. We were most impressed with the professional and competent manner in which the work was completed. The staff members carrying out the work were unfailingly polite, helpful and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. And they were very concerned to at all times to minimise disruption and clean up after themselves. The systems installed are eye-wateringly impressive, cool and at the cutting edge of technology. We couldn’t be more pleased.

Having had fantastic service from Steve Duckworth and his staff on the installation of my Tesla Powerwall, I decided to add to my solar panel system too. I cannot speak highly enough of the two guys, Darryl and Rhys, who turned up bright and early on a cold and rainy morning, and just got stuck in to all the preparatory work. At all times, they were friendly, polite and kept me advised of their progress, and all in conditions I wouldn’t have enjoyed working in. The second day, they completed all the wiring and installed all the panels… on another bitterly cold day. Absolutely brilliant service and a terrific advert for the company. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Steve Duckworth Electrical - if you’re thinking of Powerwall or solar panels, these guys are outstanding.

I've just had a Tesla Powerwall 2 fitted by Steve's lads. They were very courtious, professional and tidy. There was minimal disruption to the day and i'm now running off cheap rate Octopus energy. Waiting to see what we can do about ASHP and extra Solar now.

I used Steve to install a 5kw solar array & a Powerwall 2 following on from a friend's recommendation. And I have to say I'm really glad that I did. Everything about the whole experience was positive. Everybody turned up when they said they would, equipment arrived on time and all of the people involved in the installation were first class - professional, polite and hard working. The people in the office answered every query I had right away and showed a fair degree of patience with me when needed as I had a lot to ask! Steve says he's not the cheapest but I actually think the price I paid for the job was very good, and the end result is worth every penny. Excellent service from Steve and his team. Everything was done when we were told it would be once the delivery date was confirmed. The installers were very friendly and polite and tidied up after themselves. The install was done in one day with the guys working pretty much non-stop.
