Great experience with RESt from start to Finish. Martin was very knowledgable and patient talking us through everything and making sure we were happy with everything. Martin is also available and helpful even after the installation with any queries that we have.

Excellent customer service

The company is really good. Customer service is excellent. I was dealt by one of their advisor Ashuman who was such a knowledgable and polite guy. He supported me throughout the process up to the installation and handover. He was always ready to answer any questions I had and even contacted other teams on my behalf. The whole process was seamless and the installation staff were brilliant. A very happy customer taking benefit from the solar energy. Would highly recommend them.

Good company to deal with - good experience

Discussion with Raz about my requirements and how best to achieve them was professional, informative, positive and helpful. Equipment -2x batteries and a hybrid inverter- and price was agreed and an installation date confirmed. Communication with Charlotte, Afsana and Michael in the office was clear and concise. There was a logistical issue affecting the previous job which pushed the installation to the following day. Mark and Clint duly arrived the next morning . They encountered an unforseen issue with my existing solar layout which meant that I needed a different inverter. Hassan was contacted and a replacement inverter was delivered just after noon that day, in order to complete the installation. The installation was completed late afternoon and worked. Unfortunately the app needed a software update which Michael completed by around 7.30 that evening. A good team effort by all involved. The system and app have performed as expected since. I tend to judge people by how they respond when things don't go exactly to plan and I feel that REST are a firm that I would do business with again. Thank you to all involved.

No pressure sale, and quick smooth service

Had my system fitted yesterday 11/02/26, looks exactly as illustrated and only took the day to install! Ash came out to quote us and explain the process. He is very straight forward didn’t try to over sell the product at all. Really good guy, didn’t pressure us at all, easy to talk to and obviously knows his job very well. The fitters on the day where very good, kept the place tidy and were patient with our situation as we had to move animals around and it can get quite a busy house at times. Overall the company are very good, paperwork (email) is very quick and easy to navigate. Thank you

Solar battery installed

I had an over the telephone chat with Andy who arranged for rest to come out and install the solar battery for us. Afsana kept us up to date with all developments. The two men that installed it were quick and efficient and did a great job explaining the online app. Highly recommend the team. Great job done well.

Dissapointed

If you look at solar panel installations, large or small you will notice that all the panels are identical on any installation and match one another. Sadly I engaged Rest UK to supply and fit solar panels, on completion I paid in full as requested but complained that the panels were not all the same. This installation is on the front aspect of a bungalow with a low roof as you approach the bungalow you can see that the panels are not all the same, it looks awful. I have no issue with the workers who carried out the work, as they can only fit the parts supplied. I first contacted the sales person who had promised to be so helpful if there were any issues which would be easy as he lives locally, he simply referred me back to the company. I then spoke with the company sales manager who assured me that after a few weeks after the panels had gone through a number of cycles they would all match so not to worry. I waited several weeks before getting back to him but there has been no miraculous change in the awful appearance, after a lengthy conversation he accused me of harassing him and referred me to their installation team. The installation team was no help at all and has refused to rectify this defect which would never have happened had they exercised some customer care and simply checked that all the panels matched and were from the same batch. So in summary if you want a mismatched panel installation by a company that lies to you then use Rest UK.

Absolute delight to deal with

Yeah i decided to go with rest and after a little mix up at the begging i am very satisfied with the service and after service, firstly from the start they are fully explaining everthing and even have it all scrutinised buy a separate external company to validate the claims they are putting forwards to me are true so thats great an extra layer of security for your investment. And secondly after service, they are there at the drop of a hat explaining in detail exsactly whats needed to set your system up best to suit your exact needs i mean couldnt if asked first more. I am going to mention one negative and that is they contacted me too much trying to resolve an issue that arose it was way to much and i felt left hand didn’t know what right hand was doing at that moment in time but must be said quickly resolved and great service from there. Michael in particular is able to guide you step buy step and is very knowledgeable. Overall very happy and the guys that fitted my system were absolutely lovly real genuine decent guys and thats all you want and scaffolders were absolutely brilliant and i actualy requested mine taken down very quickly as it was mostly on my neighbours property and-it was down two days later

Deceptive and threatening behaviour.

They did not give the appropriate and relevant information but just keen to get your signature on the agreement. They threatened me to sign the completion otherwise refused to remove the scaffolding and commission the system. Despite many emails and phone calls the installation is still not completed and checked to satisfaction. They mentioned items as been installed without actually installing them. With the 11 penals installed I am not getting even one kwh generation. I will be taking the matter further. Be careful.

Misleading sales process, non‑intelligent system, and no ownership after installation

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. The Duracell battery system sold and installed at my property does not function as an intelligent energy system. There is no real automation or smart optimisation – everything has to be configured and managed manually. This is very different from how it is presented during the sales process. The salesperson who visits your home markets the product extremely well and explicitly claims it is better than a Tesla battery. This is simply not true. Tesla batteries genuinely operate as intelligent systems; this Duracell system does not. I feel these claims are misleading and create completely unrealistic expectations. When issues arose after installation, the installer refused to take responsibility, denied support requests, and rejected any discussion around replacement. Instead, I was told the system was “working as expected” and that any issues should be taken up with Duracell directly — despite the fact that the product was purchased and installed through the installer, not Duracell. Duracell themselves have confirmed that responsibility lies with the installer. However, no ownership has been taken, no meaningful support provided, and no resolution offered — only refusals and redirection. There is a clear lack of transparency, accountability, and customer care once the sale is completed. I would strongly advise anyone considering this system to do extensive independent research and not rely on verbal promises made during the sales visit. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product or the company involved. Edit 09/01/2025 Your statement that “while you can set manual charge and discharge times via the app, this is not required if you need to charge or discharge the system outside of tariff automation” is incorrect. I left the system running with no manual inputs, and the following day was completely cloudy and rainy. Despite this, the system did not automatically recharge overnight, which contradicts what your team advised. Additionally, my expectation was to receive a product superior to Tesla’s, as this is precisely what your sales agents emphasise when persuading customers. Unfortunately, this claim appears misleading, as the system does not deliver the functionalities that were presented during the sales process. This is not in line with fair‑trade principles, particularly regarding accurate representation of product capabilities and honest sales practices.

Solar panel, tesla power wall and EV changer

I have recently completed the installation of 12 solar panels, a Tesla Powerwall, and a Tesla EV charger with Rest UK. I am very satisfied with the service provided. The installers were excellent, completed all works within the agreed timeframe, and assisted with the system setup. They also coordinated well with other works taking place at my property and completed everything as requested. The sales consultant, Ahmed Shafiq, was very helpful throughout the process and worked closely with me to deliver a solution that met our requirements and expectations. Ahmed was accommodating and made changes to the product specification at our request, at no additional cost, prior to installation. I am happy to recommend Rest UK to anyone considering solar panels, battery storage, and an EV charger.

Smooth process from sales to installation

From start to finish, my experience with REST was excellent. Pete handled the sales side professionally and clearly, answering all my questions without any pressure and making sure everything was set up properly from day one. Habib carried out the solar panel and battery installation, and the standard of his work was outstanding. The wiring was incredibly clean and tidy — easily the best I’ve seen — and everything was installed with real attention to detail. What really stood out was the aftercare. Habib was always available when I needed support and happy to explain things properly. A smooth, stress-free process with great people involved. I’d highly recommend REST.

Brilliant company that does Solar Panel installation. From beginning to the end, Amir (sales person) was helpful, answered all my questions, and talked me through all the process of the installation. The installation lads were amazing, worked and installed within the day.

Structurally damaged home and roof, terrible post install support, trash in guttering, leaking roof, silicone ooze volcanoes hidden under panels, lied to about product capabilities by sales and awful warranty support, a nightmare installation with ongoing poor support. Miss-sold the battery, I asked for backup power on power cutt, they told me that was what they were quoting for, then after install I find out it's not that. They used steel bolts on tiled roof, drilled through tiles, punctured lining, cracked and snapped roof joists from oversized bolts. Claimed install was correct, had to involve legal and the equiptment supplier for them to admit fault. They refused to restore to original condition, scaffolding left up over a year. MCS did NOTHING, a dog and pony show to trick consumers into feeling safe.

REST recently installed a solar battery at home, and they team were brilliant,very patient, knowledgeable and very helpful. I am delighted with the battery and even REST customer services have been great. I highly recommend REST Uk for their solar installations.

I have called REST to give me a quote for some solar panels with battery to be installed on my roof. A worker called Hassan came and it was soon clear that he was using selling tactics to get me to agree a purchase. Long explanations, irrelevant points, etc. First he showed me a price list, then, after noticing my hesitation, he reduced the price by a couple of grand on condition that I would sign there and then, with no time for thinking it over. Eventually I had to tell him to go as he was not picking up my hints that I needed more time to think about it. Only later I saw a program on BBC explaining that these selling tactics are in actual fact illegal. Just as well I did not agree anything. The bottom line is: stay away from this company.

I recently had solar panels installed by REST after being recommended by a family member, and am very happy with the experience. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. They took the time to explain the process, answered all my questions, and ensured I was comfortable. The installation was completed on time and to a very high standard, with almost no disruption. Since switching to solar, I’ve already noticed a significant reduction in my energy bills, and it feels great to be contributing to a greener future for my family.

The service I received was so great. Everything was smooth from the start to end and personal I will recommend. This is a really great team and I would like to thank the installers who talked us throu the app and explained how the solar panel system works in all: he really took his time with us.

Is this company even in business anymore? I've been trying to contact them for days with a service request. Equipment: Can't fault it so far. It does what it says it should. Cost: High given the poor after service Sales: Typical high pressure double glassing sales man pressured by the owner to pump sales. After sales: Extremely poor Finance: Greart they used to offer 0% interest. Very happy to take the money, but when they get it wrong, not so quick to refund the money owed. All in all, the fact you can't contact anyone for after sales service over two days, takes this from a happy 4 star review, down to a 1 star; would not recomend.

I had a fantastic experience with Rest Solar Team. Luca, Raihan and Habib were thorough, efficient and super helpful at every step of the process. Solar panels installed were of great quality and the service was excellent.

Excellent customer service from start to finish. REST clearly explained from the outset the process of installing our solar panel system. The scaffolders and installation technicians arrived when planned. Very pleased with the results, especially as the sun shone today so we could see the benefits of the panels immediately. Thank you!

Overall a 5 star service from start to finish. Some initial confusion on the quotes and energy production but all resolved fairly and Simon the sales rep was very helpful. Hassan was fantastic as the project manager reassuring along the way pre and post installation and Habib and Lucas were exceptional for the installation. Habib went out of his way to reassure us, explain everything and sort any issues ensuring the roof was protected. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and proactive. Highly recommenced

Rest UK have been very helpful throughout the process of getting the solar panels and battery. When anything came up that I wasn't sure about I was able to get things resolved by the customer services team. Would recommend their service to others considering solar panels for their home!

Installed with issues. It was agreed that issues will be fixed and hence payment of £10.2k was done (leaving £500). Issues were never fixed and after 4 months, they are harassing for £500. There are many other suppliers with similar or better configurations with better pricing. Please avoid them. Their ratings and comments from other customers tell everything. One more thing, don't trust Andy their salesperson (full of promises).

Solar is good. I m giving 2 stars due to messy installation process. Debris left all around the house, including neighbours garage and I had to clean the neighbours garage due to this. Pallets and boxes left behind... installation is a total mess.

Very happy with our system which is generating solar power even though we’re still in January. We had approached a few companies for quotes but REST were the only one to actually send someone to see our house and not just use Google earth. He was very patient explaining everything and answering all our questions. Installers turned up on time and were extremely efficient and polite and left no mess. Scaffolders were subcontracted and did cause some issues damaging some tiles but they were all put right by the installers and we were reimbursed by the scaffolders for the cost of the tiles so no big issues. All documentation has been received and follow up calls to make sure we are happy with the system. Already recommended REST to some friends. Looking forward to summer to see all the solar power being generated.

I am writing a review on behalf of my grandparents who purchased a system with us based on my recommendation and their worries about rising energy costs. The install was quick and simple and was completed in 1 day which they were very happy about. The system generated plenty of energy over the summer, they are normally quite hard people to please however they are very impressed with the system and the company and will definitely be recommending to friends and family. Thankyou guys for making my grandparents experience a good one as they were very hesitant going into this

Absolutely pathetic!!! Appointments can only be undertaken if both home owners are present so we align our hectic schedules to accommodate an 11am Friday morning 90 minute assessment meeting. Get a text confirmation the day before stating that they pay their assessors so please be available and guess what, 11.25am and he isn’t here. I call their office to learn his car had broken down yesterday and can he come at 2pm….no he can’t as I have a business to run. Then they lie and said they tried calling twice, which they didn’t. What a joke and an utter waste of my valuable time.

We have been extremely pleased with both the initial installation and the after care, especially as our installation was problematic nothing to do with Rest. Habib remained cheerful, even offering to come and live in our loft at one point he was round so often! He and his brother are genuinely decent guys who offer a very good service. Thoroughly recommend.

We had been thinking about getting solar panels installed for quite a while but had been apprehensive about finding a reliable company so had put the idea on hold for a few years. When we came across REST it was refreshing to find a company that were so passionate and dedicated to providing excellent customer service along with the expertise and quality of products. Our initial meeting with Sharna was excellent, she gave us all the information we needed without any hard sell and explained everything clearly and was happy to answer any questions. The install engineers were very professional and polite and you could tell that they took pride in their work. Throughout the install they were happy to answer any questions and explained clearly how to use the system. Now that it has been running for a few weeks we can already see the benefits and the potential long term gains that were proposed to us in our discussions with Sharna. We are very happy with our solar installation and feel confident with the knowledge that REST are there should we need any assistance down the line. Whilst writing this it’s a cloudy day, but it’s great to see that we are still drawing energy from the sun!

I dealt with Ben and Daryl from REST who were both brilliant from the start. Ben came to the house and explained that we could have the system even though our roof wasn’t south facing (we’ve previously been told by other companies that our roof wasn’t suitable). Both Daryl and Ben went out of their way to ensure the installation went smoothly and we had our system in place by the following weekend! I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.
