Solar panels installation

We had our solar panels fitted this week. Firstly the process went smoothly, everything was planned by the company and there was no stress on our behalf. The scaffolding company were professional, made sure the scaffolding was up before the solar panel installation date. The solar panels were delivered and secured safely without any damage to the property. Then the solar panels were installed, again the men doing this were very professional and helpful. The panels look great, I’m really happy with how they look. Lastly, the electricians did a great job, and made sure the battery was put in a suitable place. In all a great experience, and when needed the electricians have kept in contact for help!

I recently had solar panels and a Tesla battery installed by Wise Green, the Installation was carried out to good standard and I'm very pleased with the overall quality of work. There were a few minor snagging issues but the project manager handled them promptly and effectively. Overall, a positive experience and the company I'd happy to recommend.

From the first meeting with the salesman , Elton, to the point of paying the final completion payment , we found the company very approachable, friendly, and good to their word. Elton , showed us a very well informed presentation, and was able to answer all our questions...the timescales ,were kept too . Making payments was easily handled by Lisa, and any further questions we had were all answered promptly by alex. Totally happy to recommend this company....wise green energy, they are very competitively priced ... 2 very happy customers

Wisegreen has been an excellent company to deal with, timely and efficient. Everyone involved from the office, the assessor to the installers have all been really pleasant and helpful. We now have 12 solar panels producing electricity even during the short winter days.

Having had solar panels fitted in 2018, it seemed wise to add a battery to make the most of the electricity generated by our 14 solar panels on a south facing roof. At the height of summer it can be as much as 30kwh. Having no storage battery much of this was exported at a low FIT rate, Initially we contacted a supplier recommended by our county council to undertake the work. We found its communication poor and after asking for a photograph of our consumer unit, it suggested we needed a new consumer unit before work commenced without making a site visit. Having recently had a new unit fitted by a NICEIC electrician, we were not going to agree to that. We then did what we should have done at first. We consulted WHICH and found its supplier for our area, Wisegreen Energy based in Wymondham. A visit swiftly followed and we assured that we did not need a new unit and the work was undertaken promptly and with care. Not only was the result excellent, the firm has helped us subsequently, firstly by constructing a schematic diagram of the system, which should have been provided the solar panel installer eight year's ago and more recently with the completion of the new FIT form required by Octopus. This is beyond what many contractors would do. We would recommend this firm unreservedly. Rarely have we had work to such a high standard and with excellent post installation support.

I have to say, I can thoroughly recommend wise green energy from the first contact until completion. They were just a joy to work with and now we have a fully functioning solar battery and gateway system so no more power cuts.

All the guys, including the scaffolders were brilliant, friendly and courteous. The system is up and running and even given we are in the depths of winter currently saving about a third on energy costs, but this will be more once I change to a more suitable tariff. All in all, highly recommend, great bunch of people.

Together with a friend living nearby, we spoke to our respective neighbours, family and friends with solar panels already fitted to their homes in order to gain a greater understanding of what the benefits and risks could be. We compared the products and follow-up services offered by several companies before we both made the decision to choose Wise Green Energy. The installation of our 10 panel system with batteries took place exactly as planned. The team who fitted the system were professional and courteous in every respect and we have been extremely impressed with the quality of their work. One neighbour's experience who had used a different installer was markedly different and visually, it shows. Subsequently, no problems or issues have emerged with our system, it is reliable, stable and performing well. The App is easy to use and allows you to simply monitor performance or study it in more detail. Coupled with moving to Octopus as our energy supplier we are delighted with the significant reduction in our energy bill.

Local company to me , which meant that any snags and they were at hand (and eager) to sort it out . Not the cheapest quote I got but it was a no hidden extra type. They even saved me money by only selling me what I needed. I was up and running ahead of schedule and I’m very happy with the quality of the work. We invested in solar panels last year after receiving several quotes for about 5 or so companies and lots of research given that we were spending a large chunk of our savings. Simon personally came to visit us on a couple of occasions, Alex was our project manager and as a whole the local company Wise Green Energy were fantastic, very professional. They were let down with scaffolding sub contractors but worked hard to rectify the situation and we had our solar installed and commissioned in a timely fashion. We would absolutely recommend this wonderful business and will certainly use them ourselves in the future.

A cautionary tale

I had a solar assisted heat pump installed in January 2023 at a cost of £7,000. The system fitted was made by a company called SAHP. I reported a fault with my system and was advised that this company has ceased trading and therefore my 5 year guarantee has gone out the window. As my system is now two and a half years old it is outside the Wisegreen two year workmanship warranty. After 10 days the system suddenly started working again but I check it every day with trepidation waiting to see if my money is down the drain.

Excellent service

We chose WGE to supply our renewable energy system as they are a family run business, and we felt comfortable with their knowledge and expertise. We had quotes from other suppliers, 3 local and one national company, however we chose WGE as the team gave us confidence in their knowledge. It was a smooth installation from start to finish, informative and helpful design options and a competitive price. We added a battery and a A2A heat unit for our open plan areas and WGE explained it would provide cooling on hot days as well as heating. Once installed we moved to Octopus and they export to the grid at peak times so we get a high export credit and the batteries are then topped up at night on a low rate so we are saving ££’s on our electricity bills. We would have no hesitation in recommending WGE, we are delighted.

Very straight forward process with Wise…

Very straight forward process with Wise Green Energy - after paying my deposit, surveys were carried out, equipment was then ordered. I was kept up to date with timings - which didn't slip. The scaffolders arrived when expected, talked me through what they were going to do - I asked if they could ensure that a car could be parked in the car port, which they did. The roofers - two outstanding guys who went the extra mile. Did a superb job - everything left clean and tidy. Then when the electricians arrived - again went the extra mile - overall all of the guys delivering the installation were friendly and caring, would highly recommend. Installation was done quickly, with all rubbish taken away.

Wise Green Energy provides decent solar solutions, but I encountered minor frustrations despite their professional approach. Communication and installation were generally smooth, and the team showed good expertise. However, their service didn’t exceed expectations, and pricing felt average. While the results are satisfactory, I’d suggest exploring other options before committing. Overall, an okay experience.

We had Wise Green Energy fit our solar PV system, just last week. (Finished on Fri 9th Feb). From our original contact by phone, to Simon Palmers' initial feasability visit, Nick Arnolds' technical survey, the scaffolders, Dan and Charlie fitting the panels, Jack and Bradley doing the electrical stuff, and Alex managing and giving us advice, it was a very pleasing experience. Top marks to all involved ! We just need to sort out our transfer from Shell to Octopus and we're away !! If you're thinking of getting solar, then we really can't praise Wise Green Energy enough. Wise Green Energy claimed their technology could reduce our heating bills and be greener at the same time! It immediately sparked an interest with me as I had worked as an engineer in refrigeration with a good knowledge of how reversing the principle can produce incredibly efficient heat. We subsequently had a very friendly and informative visit to discuss the principles of the technology further and to assess the feasibility of using the technology in our property, for me it felt like a 'no brainer' to progress things further. Next we had a technical survey visit, to check on complete suitability and advise us on the best positioning of the unit, we found a suitable place for our needs and could then look forward to getting our new system installed! On a date and time agreed, we had two very pleasant engineers arrive and in no time at all the system was up and running providing us with the 'GREEN' warmth we were initially promised, very satisfying indeed! We were provided a thorough tuition on the operation of the system before the two engineers left. Every thing was finished within a day , all spotlessly clean and a very professionally efficient process from start to finish. The results proceeding the installation of our new system have been fantastic and we can truly say it lives up to all expectations with no alterations to our life style. We are more than happy with our purchase and the advise we received from Wise Green Energy and would be keen to encourage others to talk to them to look at a greener, cheaper alternative way of producing energy. Admittedly It can feel like taking a bit of a leap of faith, but some leaps are worth taking and can pay off, ours certainly has.
