Great installation going strong after nearly ten years .

Our Powerwall 2 installation by TLGEC in September 2016 has stood the test of time. We have E7 (Economy 7) electricity through Utility Warehouse and our setup includes a SolarEdge inverter. We’re never had any issues and can prove that our installation is greatly cost effective.

Matt and Brandon were great as is the Powerwall. I'm so glad I chose The Little Green Energy Company; their service has been excellent throughout. I can recommend both them and the Tesla Powerwall without hesitation.

Excellent from beginning to end. Simon and Kevin arrived promptly at 8am and proceeded to carry out the work without any problems. They were efficient, polite and friendly. We would highly recommend this company. All they need is the odd coffee and or jasmine tea (I think I’ve converted Kev!)

Great experience from start to finish. Correspondents with Little Green energy were very professionally handled keeping me up to date with the installation date plus any questions I’ve had regarding how the powerwall 3 works etc. The fitting team were excellent fitted the powerwall in a suitable place explained about the systems installation then gave me a complete run down on how it works plus set me up on my phone and current energy supplier. I would highly recommend using Little Green energy.

Absolutely brilliant experience with this company. Everyone was friendly, polite, tidy and very communicative. I had a complicated install across my landscaped garden into my detached garage for the battery and car charger with solar panels on my main roof. Scaffolding was up and down quickly and the job completed promptly and on schedule! They remain available to answer my questions even though everything is signed off. I highly recommend them and have already done so to my friends and neighbours.

We'd happily recommend The Little Green Energy Company. The price they quoted for installation of 17 solar panels and two Tesla Powerwall 3s was competitive. Kevin and Simon were friendly and professional throughout the installation, as was Karrianne in the office. All in all, for what seems like a big job it felt remarkably easy and efficient. Thanks!

One of the Very Best Solar Providers in the UK

Designed, delivered and installed our solar set up beginning of September and it has worked seamlessly and without any human intervention since. We have 10 panels, PW3 battery plus expansion pack, Gateway and Zappi Car Charger - and everything just works. The panels have been cleverly designed by Little Green to sit in an array of three so we are literally charging from just after dawn to just before dusk. Even in late November our weekly electricity bill is less than £5 per week and we will make money from our export from the spring onwards. Can really recommend this excellent company who employ all their own staff, many of whom have been with them for 10+ years.

The Little Green Energy Company did a super job installing my solar panels. I selected them from eight firms I contacted, and I was very pleased with my choice. They were professional, polite and efficient.

Really happy with the work done by the team. Simon and Kevin did a great job on the electrical side, and Mark and Logan were brilliant on the roof. Everything was finished to a high standard, and the system looks fantastic. It took a bit longer than expected to get everything sorted, but the team were professional, friendly, and kept me updated throughout. Definitely worth the wait!

The actual installation was good no issues. However the sales was terrible. They measure the roof incorrectly so couldn’t install the panels they had sold me. They were then reluctant to refund me for the panels not installed. Tje expected payback k as a result will not be met. I raise a support issue 4 days ago, no response. The DNO paperwork still hasn’t arrived 2 months later. On the whole pretty poor sales and after sale service. The cheaper quote was probably a better option.

We have just had solar panels installed on our flat roof area by The Little Green Energy Company and they have been great from the meeting with the Salesman, to the fitting of the panels and finally connecting up with the electricity battery storage. Everyone was very pleasant, professional and helpful. We were recommended from a friend and we would recommend to others. My husband now loves looking at the App to see how much electricity we are saving!

Connor and Morgan installed a new Powerwall 3 configuration for us, and were painstaking, neat and determined to understand what the particular installation needed. When we hit a minor issue (needing a feature before Tesla's software actually supports it) they worked out a very satisfactory solution. Mark and Logan then installed some extra PV panels for us, and just like the team who installed new PowerWalls they were very efficient with high quality work. They were careful to check everything they did as they went along. Very impressive all round.

With retirement not too far off, our primary interest in solar energy was as a means to make substantial savings on our energy bills. When The Little Green Energy Company switched on our new solar system one month ago at the start of September 2025, they set us well on the way to achieving our goal. I initially wanted to see how well the system performed and how well Little Green might respond to any setbacks or difficulties that occurred in the first month, before writing a review of their services. The simple fact is that our system has performed flawlessly since day one. If you have an interest in solar, and are fortunate to live in an area covered by The Little Green Energy Company, I highly recommend you consult with them to see for yourself what they have to say and exactly what they can do for your property - and for your wallet. You will encounter a highly professional, long established, expert company. Having looked at numerous alternatives, LG were easily the best solar installation business I could find. Here are just some aspects of their service I most appreciated: They are not ‘hard sell’ merchants - in fact, the very opposite. My research showed Little Green are very competitive and their quotes include, as standard, things other companies often later charge extra for - for example, bird-proofing of the solar panels, scaffolding etc. Many installers offer a very speedy install and Little Green installed 3 weeks from contract date. This lead time was due partly to how busy they are but also thanks to their policy of directly employing all their own staff, and not outsourcing any of the design and installation work. And the difference in professionalism really shines through in the quality of their work and their evident pride in it. I remain impressed that Little Green were the first approved installers of Tesla batteries in the U.K. They source ALL the required equipment for the project and take care of all the paperwork in respect of the Utility companies - something some of their ‘speedier’ competitors neglect to do. It is very much a ‘worry-free’ experience. My wife liked that the installation team were “exceptionally good looking and charming” (her words). I liked that the installation team were industrious, did not appear to stop work all day (despite two heavy downpours), returned their empty tea cups and, before going off site, always made a point of saying a courteous and cheerful goodbye at the end of each shift. They are ALL a huge credit to The Little Green Energy Company (my words). I liked that after the initial in-person survey, we were passed to a single named ‘co-ordinator’ who then became our main contact point, and is still available to us today. And a word for their brilliant surveyor who talked us through our options at Stage One in plain English, understood our preferences and was able to design and accommodate the resulting fairly complex install requirement without drama or fuss. His many years of solar experience made this all possible. I like the fact that our electricity bill for this September dropped 90% compared to September 2024. Factoring in fuel savings on my old diesel car (we ended up buying our first electric vehicle 3 days prior to our installation) we saved about £160 in our first month. Thanks to Octopus Energy, the EV, the solar panels, Tesla batteries and Little Green, we estimate we will save at least £3,000 per year and our investment will have paid for itself in around 6 - 7 years. Or sooner, if energy prices continue to escalate, as currently seems likely. Finally I like that Little Green are a Certified Trusted Partner by Octopus Energy, and also hold the WHICH 5 Star Rating Award, alongside a range of other industry awards and acknowledgements. So I’m very pleased to commend Little Green to anyone considering solar. It is genuinely hard to imagine a better supply and service - and nicer people to work with - and this review is very much my ‘thank you’ to them.

My Tesla app this morning showed that there was a problem with my inverter. I contacted Little Green Energy Company who installed it and spoke to Karrianne who calmly explained the problem told me what needed to be done to fix it and reassured me that she would do her best to trace the issue. This she did and within a day i am back up and running. Very happy with the customer service ,have always found LGEC when needed to be very responsive, helpful and polite, Thankyou Karrianne… Good Job

The installation of my PV Solar Panels at my home in Brook was professional and painless. The electrical work was fast and very neat, with little visibility of cabling. The PV panels were set in flush to the roof using Sun Fixings metal trays. These were robust & substantial and the installers went out of their way to explain and provide confident roofing work. The resulting system showed expected charging and Powerwall 3 capacity. Electricians were Matt & Charles; PV/ roof installers were Mark & Logan. This is the second installation that I have had from tlgec and I highly recommend them

TLGEC added 13 panels and a Powerwall…

TLGEC added 13 panels and a Powerwall to our new home. The sales guy, Oliver, came to our house and correctly measured the roof area and explained the options. The installation team was fantastic, very hardworking, and super neat. Getting the G99 export license took a while, so do ask about this, but to be fair, this is the DNO (local electricity supply company) being slow. We now have complete home backup, our monthly bill has dropped from £180 to £5 per month, and that includes running EVs. Additionally, we have reduced our carbon emissions by at least 3.2 tons per year. A great local company which I highly recommend. 

Whole experience has been great. Survey was done promptly, price was fair and the install was done within a reasonable period of time. Connor did a great, thorough job and has talked me through in detail the work that he has done and how to work my new charger as it’s my first one. He also left the place spotless. Really pleased

I live in Kent and had 14 solar panels and a battery installed and everyone I dealt with at TLGEC was professional, friendly and well informed. The install day was trouble free and as soon as the system was commissioned it began saving me money. The only hiccup was the scaffolding wasn’t removed a week after installation but a few days later… no big deal really. My set-up has provided me with credit over August and September and anytime I need a bit of extra advice they are more than happy to dial into my system and run through any tweaks. I would always recommend a local company over a big multi-national and have no hesitation in recommending The Little Green Energy Company.

Little Green Energy Company were recommended to us be neighbours who had used them. As we had hoped they were faultless. The scaffolding team assembled the scaffolding in torrential rain without a murmur and the LGEC team were amazing. The quality of workmanship was flawless. We were updated continually during the process which only took one-and-a-half days and they were charming and friendly. Matt and Charles did the final connect up and explained the whole system and sorted out the App for us. I would highly recommend LGEC.

Superb and very competitively priced.

Absolutely Superb and well priced (1/2 the price of local competitor). Dylan Brandon and Ryan were a great bunch of lads - meticulous and highly skilled. Very clean. I would recommend these guys to everyone. I used them for 2 Tesla Powerwalls and a Tesla V3 EV install.

We had our first power outage today

We had our first power outage today, after an incident locally which necessitated turning off the grid to over 800 houses! Our Powerwall kicked in exactly as designed, and we were powered by battery and solar throughout the power cut, with absolutely no intervention from us. Well done LGEC, your excellent installation continues to prove its worth!

I could not be happier with the service…

I could not be happier with the service received from TLGEC. As the original installing company of my battery, I asked for help to solve a technical problem and from the outset there has been attention to detail and genuine intent to solve the issue for me. Karrianne was very helpful and displayed excellent technical knowledge from the outset. She kindly arranged for a service call to investigate and proceed from the findings to a soloution. Today I had a visit from Dylan… a service engineer. Such a great guy from the outset. He listened to a brief synopsis of the problem and within seconds knew immediately what to look at and what the problem was. I could literally see the brain cogs whirring in to action. Dylan was courteous and helpful from the knock on the door until we shook hands as he departed. He carried out a full ‘heath check’ on my 38 panel 10kw array, inverters x 3 and battery and assessed for an upgrade to the gateway box and tech. It’s such a refreshing change to deal with knowledgeable, quality people and a company that is actually interested in providing the very best service that can be achieved. All too often these days my experience has been the minimum service, often at the lowest standard and cost to the company with the expectation of the maximum return from the customer. This firm has got its priorities correct in my view. Well done Karrianne and Dylan on literally making my day today. Keep up the great work! Thank you.

Retro fit powerwall battery storage for solar

I thoroughly recommend The Little Green Energy Company From the very start when the surveyor Oliver came to assess our needs, right through to the installation yesterday. Oliver explained the possible options which would suit us. They would contact UK power networks and have a point of contact for the installation. There was no high pressure sales, just clear advice and a willingness to listen to assess our requirements. The project manager, Karrianne, arranged a suitable date for installation which took account of our needs and the timing of the UK power network approvals. Charles and Matt the engineers arrived promptly for the installation and kept us informed on what was happening throughout the day. They were polite and respectful and are a credit to the company. They helped set up the app on my phone to monitor the system and explained everything clearly. TLGEC have a fabulous team. Thank you!

Great overall, one small niggle

Great pre-sales, patiently explained what I wanted to know, zero pressure. Superb installation, very neat and professional, done earlier than expected and much faster than expected. Great app - nice user interface, lots of graphical info. Only niggle is lack of explanation about software settings. A wrong setting we didn’t even know about left us failing to charge from overnight off peak grid. There’s no user friendly manual for the software- which imo is essential to get the most from your investment.

The Little Green Energy Company

I had Solar panel installed back in 2019 and then having experienced a disconnection from the mains supply a couple of years ago I considered adding a solar battery to my solar panels, but the price put me off. Then with the cost of Tesla batteries, the best, started to come down I approach another company to do this, but they went into administration. Then I contacted The Little Green Energy Company and found that VAT for these upgrades had been removed and I went ahead. I am pleased to report that they were very professional, and I am now able to fully exploit the electricity produced from my solar panels during the summer months and change my battery overnight using cheap off-peak electricity when the sun doesn’t shine to power my house during the day. I further found they were very efficient at replacing my Solar Edge invertor which failed under guarantee with the newest model for free.

The technician was always helpful and clear from the start and if I called or emailed he responded swiftly. They were happy to spend time explaining how the additional system would work in line with the existing. Once confirmed, the installation team took over and worked quickly, efficiently and tidily throughout.
