The installation was great, but everything afterward was a let-down. I was given several different delivery dates for my battery, none of which happened, and every update only came after I chased — multiple times, on multiple days. There was no proactive communication, no clear answers, and no real accountability from Leeds Solar throughout the delays. After such a smooth installation, the poor follow-up service was really frustrating and not what I expected. The issue is finally resolved, but the experience definitely took the shine off what started as a very positive job.

Leeds Solar recently installed 6kw solar panels and a battery to my property. Leeds Solar were recommended by friend however we still took quotes from three other companies before deciding on Leeds Solar. The decision was an easy one as Leeds Solar not only provided a very competitive quote their customer service was streets ahead of the other companies. They were the only company to actually visit our property and look at the suitability of the roof. They also spent time discussing our electricity use and working out what size panel array / battery would work best for us. While other companies tried to upsell or just give us a standard package, Leeds Solar worked to get a solution that was bespoke to our needs. Once we agreed to use them their communication was excellent and the work was carried out quickly and to a high standard. We have also found their aftercare to be excellent and they have responded to any queries we have had quickly and professionally. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is considering getting solar.

It's been nine years since we had 4kW of PV installed on our bungalow roof in Guiseley. It was a decision we never regretted, and I'm sure we couldn't have found a better company than Leeds Solar to do the work. Highly recommended.

Very good quotation process and value…

Very good quotation process and value for money pricing. The technical details were clearly explained. Installation was efficient, they cleaned up well afterwards and the after sales service has been very responsive. Solar panels on the roof and battery/inverter in the garage are very neatly installed.

We had great service from Leeds Solar fitting integrated solar panels into our new roof on our 1920's house, and installing a battery. They also helped sorted out some other electrical issues for us in which was quite a complicated project. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and we'd definitely recommend them.

We had our solar panels and battery fitted by Leeds Solar three years ago. Can’t understand why we’ve not posted a review earlier but I guess better late than never. They are one of the rare companies whose customer service remains excellent during the quoting stage, through installation and during the aftercare. I’ve just spoken with Simon about a technical glitch caused by a different electrician doing some separate work yesterday and not only was he able to help me immediately in a professional manner (with none of the condescension that women often are subjected to) but he had a look at our system and made some additional optimisations. All of this nearly 3 years after installation. Solar is much more complicated than we expected it to be but with such top class technical support our system works seamlessly. We are considering adding another battery in the near future and will not hesitate to use Leeds Solar for this work. Thanks guys, we really appreciate such fantastic customer service.

Leeds Solar were recommended to me by a friend and I was really impressed with the level of service from beginning to end. They responded to requests and questions and provided all the required documentation and information promptly. From quote to installation happened in less than a month and everyone I met and talked to were lovely and very helpful. I think their prices and the advice and guidance they gave are great value and the guys who came and fitted everything were fabulous. I can recommend them to anyone thinking of going down the solar route.

Leeds Solar came all the way down to Bristol to install our panels and battery. They came in far cheaper than any of the local installers, were very professional throughout and installed everything neatly and quickly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, no matter how far away they live from Leeds!

Overall a great experience

Great experience. Good install from Jake and crew, dealt with some unusual requests and tricky house details well. Customer service and technical after sales also excellent. They were happy to help with the new technology & settings and help advise/educate a fairly geeky customer. Was nervous paying a massive chunk of cash up front but they use an external deposit (and guarantee) security scheme to protect the customer's money/investment. Thanks.

I now have 19 battery-backed panels generating for me so doubly enjoying the periods of Autumn sunshine. Installed back in August by Leeds Solar, along with an EV charger, they have been operating well and I'm now fully on the appropriate Octopus tariffs so fully reaping the benefits. From survey, permissions and installation, all has gone smoothly with minimum inconvenience, so thanks Leeds Solar for a job well done.

Great company. I've used them twice now, most recently in August 2024 for the upgrade of my system.

Knowledgeable, capable and efficient

I chose Leeds Solar out of several local and national companies, mainly because of the good impression I got of them when their rep (Simon) came to do an initial survey. The company worked seamlessly with the roofer I had hired despite some disruption caused by the weather. The installation is very tidy, and works seamlessly. The company was very responsive to any queries I had.

Leeds Solar have been super helpful in helping me with my solar panel install. Unfortunately my installer liquidated and I needed some support with Northern Power Grid. Anthony was brilliant, responsive, knowledgeable, and has allowed me to progress with NPG, without charging. We’re very grateful and will be making Leeds Solar out first contact if we do anything in future!

Great company, We had Leeds solar fit solar panels and battery storage for our house, they specified the panel size to get the absolute maximum capacity out of the roof space available, (7x Eureneer panels 480w each) coupled with a Givenergy 5kw inverter and a 9.5kwhr battery. The lads that did the install were excellent, really friendly and professional, it was done over 2 days and they left no mess, a really tidy job! The guys in the office were really knowledgeable and were able to answer all of my questions. I would without a doubt recommend Leeds solar!

Have been looking at Solar and Battery solutions for a while, decided to get 3 quotes from differing suppliers. Glad I did, Leeds Solar were great from the start, listening to what I was trying to achieve and providing several solution with options. We narrowed it down over the phone and emails with lots of useful data on their products and system design. Then they came to site survey to ensure it was all feasible and again fine tuned the design to provide me with accurate quotes. These were all well specified and detailed and importantly, competitive. We agreed to go ahead and paid the deposit, then pleasantly surprised to get a call the next week to see if they could install due to a cancellation. Result ! The roofers installed 10 x 480w panels on our E face garage roof in one day despite the rain, then James and the other guys did a grand job of achieving a very tidy install in the garage of the 7kw Fox inverter and 20.5kw battery system. Only been up and running a few days but have managed a full battery charge off solar a couple of days (May 2024) - meets our requirements very well with upgradeable options for the future. Great install from a local installer. Highly recommended.

I had a 4.8KW system (10x 480W panels) with a 5.2 KWh battery. Throughout the planning stages ever aspect was handled to the highest standard, from the deposit being held in a deposit protection scheme, to coordinating roof access as I had a roof replacement at the same time. My panels were delayed due to factors beyond Leeds Solars control (delays with the supplier) but they kept me in to loop throughout, and I had asked for them to install a month ahead of schedule due to the roofer completing early, which just resulted in the panels going up when they were originally planned. The GivEnergy battery with the app is also a great choice to be able to monitor the system. When it came to installing all the guys were friendly, polite and knowledgeable. The process to go from putting the Solar on your roof to being able to export required a number of steps and it was talking to Leeds Solar that I was able to get everything in place post installation. Overall I am extremely happy with how the entire process went from start to finish and the system I now have in place. Top people who know what they are doing, installing high quality equipment.

Really great company to deal with, Lads on site were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. 16 panels with a 9.5Kw battery were Installed around 6 weeks ago, there appears to be no problems and my bills have plummeted. One of the easiest 5 star reviews ever!

Leeds Solar is an extremely ethical and honest company. They have been in this business for many years, so they really know what they are doing. They have my highest recommendation.
