He reassured us that everything was in order and provided us with paperwork detailing the checks he has carried out and informed us that we would not need another service for 5 years. This has been the best thing I have done. Even though I had this fitted coming into the winter, my bills have halved. With having the battery option fitted and moving my energy around I am able to charge the battery up on the cheaper supper off peak, when it a rainy days. The lads at NPES done a nice clean job. No faults at all with the workmanship and making sure they tided up after them selves. Cannot wait to see my bills in the summer.

NPES installed our solar panel system…

NPES installed our solar panel system in April 2025. It has taken me some time to get to know the system and how to work it efficiently. During this period I have contacted Jon and Gary on numerous occasions to ask those questions which I was probably instructed on at the time of installation. The NPES team have been exceptionally patient and professional in answering my queries; Thank You. I would highly recommend you use this company if you are contemplating a solar panel system. Excellent service, highly recommended

The solar panel output had dropped significantly, for no apparent reason and with no fault indicated. NPES quickly sent an engineer, who diagnosed a problem with the inverter. They liaised with the supplier and obtained and fitted a new inverter within days - working fine now. Very professional, polite - now my 'go-to' solar engineers. Highly recommended!

Communication is paramount in any transaction. Especially when your 12,000km apart. NPES responded to emails promptly, and answered my questions clearly. The install guys were polite, answered my questions, and left the place devoid of garbage. Arrived promptly and started work immediately. Complete respect for my property. On completion Matt clearly explained the system and apps. Jon the owner asked if they were one of the cheaper quotes, I laughed and said no, most expensive. You certainly get quality from this company.

This year we decide to install a solar panel system at our property. We looked at 5 companies including E.ON. Quotes ranged in price from the extremely cheap to ridiculously expensive. After speaking with Octopus, they advised us to speak with three of their preferred installers; NPES being one of them. Out of the 5 quotes 3 were telephone assessments and two offered site visits. The first company who attended appeared very professional, however, was more like a ‘Hard sell’ exercise. Jon and Gary from NEPS attended our property and the experience was so much better; professional, informative and thorough. We were offered a number of different solutions to the installation and after a few phone calls and additional site visits decided to install more panels than we had initially considered at a very reasonable price, we decided to use NPES. The whole experience with NPES, including contact with; Jon and Gary, Sam and Natalie, the scaffolding team, and the Roofing team was excellent. We were told in detail exactly what was to take place, given realistic timeframes and detailed explanations at every stage. The installation went extremely well, even to the extent that Jon’s team stayed late into the evening to complete the install. Everyone who worked on the install were extremely polite, friendly, clean and tidy in the way they went about their business. We have contacted NPES on a number of occasions since the install, to discuss technical issues and navigation around the equipment, Jon and Gary have continued to assist and advise without hesitation. We are incredibly happy with the solar panels and equipment installed, we would definitely recommend NPES and would say that we made the right choice in using Jon’s team, thank you

NPES Solar installed our 8.2Kw solar PV array and 16KWh Sigenergy battery. Overall the team was excellent from start to finish, providing lots of helpful expertise and completing the install to a very high standard. The price agreed was very fair in comparison to the other quotes I received, and I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone looking for solar and battery.

I never like spending money, but if you want a professional install with great support and advice, it's worth paying a bit extra. We would not hesitate to recommend this company or indeed use them in the future for any extentions to our Solar generation plant.

I never like spending money, but if you want a professional install with great support and advice, it's worth paying a bit extra. So I've waited a full year to add this review because I wanted to review the system fitted as well as the service. Got in touch with these guys and the response was impressive. I asked them to look at one side of the roof & then both to determine the projected performance and ROI. After this Gary and his business partner came out and took a look at the house. We discussed the possible installation locations and determined that inside the garage roof would be the most convenient for the inverter and battery. We also decided to fit panels to both sides of the roof. They then provided me with a quotation, which I thought was reasonable. The system we went for was the Give-energy AIO. We paid the deposit and booked an installation date. The team came and were extremely quick and efficient. Sadly, as with 99% of houses, there's no capacity for solar systems so the routing of the cables had to be along the front of the house in order to connect to the mains. There were a couple of areas I wasn't happy with in relation to the cable routing. I told the guys and we came to an agreement on what was the best solution I was happy with. They completed the installation. I sent over all the required paperwork for grid connection and we were up and running. First class team of guys and very responsive with technical support which I've used 3 times over the last year. Now to the system. When you first get it, it's highly likely you'll be obsessed with monitoring it on the app. The system also has an online portal which you can configure to suit your own requirements. There's quite a bit to learn about it if you want to or you can get the guys at NPES or Give Energy to configure it to the most suitable settings for you personally. There are a few groups on facebook with very knowledgeable people, and they keep you alerted when there are saving sessions planned etc. If you have a battery then the saving sessions are a great way to earn money from your system. However, what you must appreciate is that these systems are software driven and are not a toy. I've seen so many people on the forums pissing about with the settings then find there's an issue with the system. They then start complaining about the system itself. I've had 3 issues in a year, two of them associated with the USB wireless adaptor for the inverter, losing connection to my router. The third issue was also something trivial. There are regular software updates so keep an eye on what's going on with you system through the app or the portal, but really just learn how to discharge and charge your batteries to capitalise on the returns and leave the rest to its own devices. Having the system installed has been the best thing we've done. It's reduced our electricity bill significantly even though we've had a poor year in terms of sunlight. We've been smart with the technology and capitalised on the offers available from the electricity company and the grid. Charging your battery at 14.30 pence per KWh (current price) during the night is a significant saving during the winter months. If you're like me, a light sleeper you can also run your most expensive appliances at this time. You can also sell your stored energy into the grid at peak times or during a grid saving session for which you can sometimes get anywhere from £1.50 - £3.00 per KWh if you discharge your battery back into the grid.

Professional Installation and Support

From start to finish the whole team at NPES have been fantastic. Starting from being exceedingly patient looking into, and pricing, a number of different solutions at quotation stage - which became more complicated based on DNO limitations - and answering the inevitable follow on questions, providing advice that made me feel confident in the finalised solution selected. At all points very happy to listen to our requirements/aims. I was impressed at the flexibility of product ranges that NPES would consider/investigate. Installation was booked promptly following quote acceptance. The in house installation team were very thorough, tidy and methodical as well as friendly & polite. Very happy and confident in the quality of the install. Given the complexities of the install there were a couple of (to be expected) queries or niggles to be sorted out on commissioning. These were handled promptly and professionally to get the system running as intended. It's just a shame that the summer weather seems to have disappeared - but already seeing promising performance from the system.

When I did this, the third company admitted they were wrong. This gave me total confidence in NPES. When it came to installation the team were friendly, neat and tidy and happy to answer all of my questions. I have also followed up since installation and they remain available and helpful. In today's world this has been a refreshingly excellent experience!

From start to finish the experience has been at a high level. From the advice of the correct system to fit, to the scaffolding team then to the team fitting the panels and batteries, it was easy it was very good value and I am up in running with Solar..

Additional battery installation

The installers arrived promptly to start the job. They were friendly and worked quickly and efficiently to overcome an unforeseen difficulty. They remained on site while the batteries were commissioned and when they left they ensured that we knew who to contact should we encounter any problems.

Had a solar and battery system fitted to my property in July 23 after months of research and couldn't be happier with what NPES Solar have provided. Gary was really helpful in giving advice on the system I required to fit my needs and the different equipment being used too. The workers who visited the house were polite, friendly and helpful in showing me what was going on. I had to leave the house one day and leave them there and they even hoovered up before locking up and leaving. The electricians were particularly good and helped to set up the app and got me running with it too. The aftercare so far has been speedy too in providing the handover packs and certificates needed to get me on the right tariff. I'm confident they'll be available to help me with any faults that could arise in the future too. I will 100% recommend these to my friends and family without any referral payment gimmicks required.

I relied on reviews and referrals when selecting an installer for solar panels and Tesla Powerwall and EV charger, and am entirely satisfied with the service from NPES that I have received. Jon and Gary, the owners of the business, are professional and knowledgeable and provided, and tailored, an installation design that met my specific requirements in terms of performance and price. The solar panels and charger were fitted quickly with minimal disruption. The Powerwall was fitted considerably later, but this was to do with Tesla supply issues (now resolved). During the wait, NPES kept me informed and once the battery arrived it was fitted quickly. Matt did much of the wiring installation, and he did so expertly with care and attention to detail. The panels, charger and battery are now working perfectly and we are already enjoying the benefits. The handover pack, including certification and warranty details, on final commissioning is excellent. Any queries we have had are quickly responded to and resolved. I have confidence in their expertise, I am impressed with their quality of work and have no hesitation in recommending them.

VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER. Having had a couple of hard sell salesmen round concerning installation of a solar panel and battery system I checked to see if there was a well recommended local firm. I found NPES solar and we couldn’t be more pleased with the whole experience from start to finish. We possibly paid a bit more than we intended and waited 3 months for installation but got a bigger system and a very smooth process. Communication has been first class, the team pleasant, clean and professional and everything has happened seamlessly including the scaffold which was up for less than a week. Before they left the installation team set up a very handy app with us and it’s really fascinating to see exactly what’s going on!! We haven’t had to chase anything and NPES even sorted out a pre existing anomaly with our meter registration so we could switch energy companies. We have no hesitation in recommending NPES solar based on our personal experience.

Like many other reviewers I found my experience with NPES, from first enquiry to final retrofit installation of battery storage and new hybrid inverter to a 10 year old Solar PV system, was excellent. Matthew and Cory, the surveyors and fitters, were careful and tidy. Considering the record high temperatures, and a few hitches (always to be expected), which were dealt with very professionally there wasn't a trace of any bad language at all. I have no hesitation in recommending the company to anyone who needs any work done in the renewable energy field.

We had an emergency situation where our existing panels were damaged in a recent storm. NPES came out quickly to secure the panels and were then able to reinstall them on a flat roof. The original incident had occurred due to another company not securing the panels appropriately. NPES were able to provide a written support which helped me make a successful claim for the work too. Great help and services all round.

The customer service, workmanship and professionalism from start to finish was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble - I asked a lot of questions during the pre-installation phase and Jon and the team did everything they could to specify a solar + storage system that would work for me within the budget that I had. They have also been very responsive throughout. The installers worked very efficiently, were very accommodating of the fact that I was working from home and nothing was too much trouble. They also kept me in the loop on progress, explained what they were doing and why, and answered any questions I had along the way. I am very pleased with my system - I have been off grid since installation and everything is working perfectly. Scaffolders also turned up to erect and dismantle the scaffold on time, showing that they have great management of sub-contractors too. I would certainly recommend NPES Solar to anyone looking to install a solar system.
