Incredible work from Light Renewables and Team. Time from quote to install was less than a week. Ricky planned out the options and managed to fit more panels on my roof than other companies. Measurements were done by a surveyor by hand and the panel layout presented to me was significantly better than other competitors. Ultimately had 13 panels installed, two Tesla Powerwalls, Gateway and EV charger. Price was the most competitive on the market. Other companies informed me that I could only install 3, 6 or 7 panels after visiting my house. Another company quoted me double the price?! On install day, a small army in four vans turned up and completed the install in 8 hours. Incredibly polite guys, who treated my home like their own. Very professional and a huge credit to the company. Sergio the lead electrician hid all the cables in an very difficult install where my consumer unit sits in the middle of the house. The team that climbed the roof were also spectacular. I've heard stories about other companies connecting the EV point to the batteries and poor bird netting etc. Light Renewables did everything perfectly including situating the gateway so my cupboards could slot back in. These guys went above and beyond. They even cut my tree and took it away, to make sure it didn't block the sunlight. I consider myself fortunate and blessed to have found this company! I wish they did other services.

Excellent service. We had our system installed in 2019 and it still performs as expected. The inverter failed in 2022 and was promptly replaced under warranty. The newer one failed to communicate after I changed our WiFi router but on contacting Light Renewables, Daryl advised me over WhatsApp which resolved the matter. I can again monitor the output of my 14 panel system. Thanks to Daryl and all at Light Renewables, I have no hesitation to reccomend their service.

Excellent service from start to finish and accommodated all my requests to make the system as neat as possible. Came up with a much better system than all the other companies I spoke to and its very well installed. While refurbishing our house they stood out by far as one of the best companies I dealt with.

Hands down one of the best most reliable solar panel fitters around. I had a 6 panel system plus battery installed over 6 months ago. Everything is been brilliant, the system out performs my expectations, their staff have been brilliant and the install was quick and efficient. Answered my questions with pleasure. Would recommend them to anyone looking for solar from a company you can rely on with the service behind the installation.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend Light Renewables – excellent service, care, and attention to detail It took me some time to build confidence before choosing Light Renewables. I initially planned to go with EDF Solar, largely because I had already installed an EDF heat pump and assumed a big household brand would be the safest option. In reality, the price difference between EDF and Light Renewables was only around £500, so cost alone wasn’t the deciding factor. What made the difference for me was taking the time to do deeper research and speak to other customers. I was aware that Light Renewables had received some negative reviews during the pandemic period, but after understanding the context and talking directly with customers, I felt comfortable giving them a chance — and I’m very glad I did. They installed 15 solar panels, a battery, and an inverter on 3 November, exactly as agreed. The installation team were professional, polite, and extremely tidy. They cleaned up thoroughly, explained the system clearly, and the system was live and working straight away. What really stood out was the level of care and pride in their work. Daryl, the owner, personally attended my home with the electrician and took the time to explain how to optimise the system, including how to use Octopus Cozy effectively by charging the battery during off-peak hours. That level of hands-on involvement from the owner is rare and speaks volumes about how seriously they take customer satisfaction. The team’s attention to detail was genuinely impressive. When installing the battery, the location was next to a rose plant I really didn’t want damaged. Despite it being awkward — and the electrician getting pricked more than once — he worked carefully around it and installed the battery without cutting the plant. I also asked if he could fit an additional security bracket that I’d provided for extra peace of mind, and he did so without hesitation. All documentation was provided shortly afterwards (around a week later than expected, which honestly wasn’t an issue for me), and it was clear and helpful in understanding how to maximise savings. Communication throughout has been good, and payments have been made as agreed. In my experience, Light Renewables are undervalued. They may be a smaller company, but they offer a far more personal, accountable, and thoughtful service than many large household-name providers. My advice is simple: give them a chance, be patient, and you’ll receive a high-quality system from a team that genuinely cares. I couldn’t recommend Light Renewables enough. I’ll also be adding photos to show the quality of their work.

Daryl is the owners and seems like a really nice chap who has the right intentions. It isn't easy running a renewable energy installation business but he deserves credit for making it. My advice is to pay a small % with a credit card and to withhold a small % till documents have been delivered and the system is up and running satisfactorily. And to insist everyone wears safety equipment. Assuming that's how you proceed, Light Renewables are fully capable of supplying the best available hardware on the market and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I was very impressed with light renewables i new very little about solar but it was explained to me very well there work force are polite and could not do enough for me the work are very good . The roofers asked to make sure we were happy with everything and the electrical work was done to the highest standards. Probably one of the best solar panel suppliers and fitters in the UK. From start to finish was effortless. The team that arrived Jack, Ryan and Daryl were amazing fitting took two days but that was due to bad weather. The lads were superb, cleaned up after themselves and tried to avoid drilling into my house which was a bonus considering I'd just brought a new build. Jack put the panels on in a day by himself what a legend and Ryan was an electrician guru! The main man Daryl was coordinating everything and he knows his stuff. Had a minor issue with the battery, Daryl and Michael sorted it no quibble changed for a brand new one. They checked everything over and gave me the thumbs up! You can't beat service like that, all my neighbours, friends and family are well impressed, thanks to all the team including Chloe and Matt at head office 👍

Very happy with the service from Light Renewables. The initial installation detected an existing problem with our flat roof, which independent roofers confirmed. Light Renewables were relaxed about the delay will we had the problem fixed, before completing the install. The install was quick and completed within a day. I've had some follow up questions to explain the system, settings etc. and Light Renewables have always been responsive, helpful and friendly. Would recommend

18 panels, 2 batteries. All fitted nicely over 2 days. There was a slight mishap during install but contacted them and they came out next day to rectify. The one issue that I had was dealt with promptly and efficiently. Just goes to show that those guys care and don't have the "its fitted lets forget approach". G99 application was handled well aswell. Overall, im not even reluctant to give 5 stars. Daryl, Joseph, Alex and all others whom I forgot the names are definetly on top of the game and not with rip-off prices like a lot of others on the market.

They supplied and fitted a 3.6kW solar system. Install time was good, price was great, and paperwork was completed very quickly.

This company did a brilliant job, fitting solar panels, battery and invertor. All done in a day. Got all the certificates the next day. Fitters were polite and worked very hard to get it all done. I couldn't be happier.

Very pleased with the service i have received from this company. I had some panels re fitted and a battery added to the system. Never been able to talk to a solar company without them just wanting to sell a new one, not any longer! These guys are very knowledgable, and will work to get what is right for the customer. Brad the electrician was a total professional, with care for his customer, and Daryl has answered evrything i asked of him thoughtfully and with great knowledge of his products. If ever i need anything else to do with solar pv, i wouldnt go anywhere else.

We had solar panels and a battery installed by Light Renewables in March 2019. They were so knowledgeable, helpful and a good competitive price. Any follow up questions were dealt with promptly and they helped with advice about the government feed in tariff as well. Just called them to ask about a 2nd battery and again, prompt and helpful. They have so much experience and knowledge in this field which is so reassuring. couldn't be more pleased.
