We recently had an air source heat pump fitted by Puraflow, the whole experience was excellent. They are a great firm to deal with. If I had any concerns they were there to reassure me, all staff were a pleasure to deal with. I’d recommend Puraflow to anyone.

Unfortunately our property layout does not permit an air source heat pump in a location suitable for both complying with the regulations and my families requirements. I am happy to recommend Puraflow to anyone considering a heat pump installation.

Great outcome from a tricky installation…

From the outset we had a tricky installation. The existing oil fired boiler was wall hung external to the house and fed through to a centrally located hot water cylinder and heating pipework. Changes in regs and lack of suppliers, and the tricky access to its location meant that a simple replacement was out of the question. Cue Puraflow and a discussion with David, and Luke. They found a solution, and at an acceptable price. Simply the old boiler went, and a new wall mounted ASHP was installed, but at the opposite end of the property. So, this meant completely new pipework to the central location via a new cylinder (and gubbins) installed in the garage, and then linked to the existing heating pipework in the central location. . Their skill, professionalism and overall effectiveness in the design, specification and installation was wonderful to see. Installation was quick, extremely efficient, and no mess whatsoever left. Minor snagging issues were resolved immediately and to my complete satisfaction. The installation was in March 2025, but I’ve hung on to provide this review after the system has been up and running and tested in winter conditions. Summer was a breeze, no issues at all, just the pleasure of a warm house, hot water, and thanks to Solar panels, and battery installation (already in place) incredibly economical to run. We had an issue in this cold snap of the Condensate outlet freezing up and ‘popping’ off its location. This was reported and an engineer was here to fix (from some distance away) the following day, and we fixed the problem. So aftersales support has been great too, an area that can so easily be overlooked. So, Yes, I’m happy to recommend their services, and have done so for two properties in my neighbourhood, one has now installed Puraflow, the second is holding off installing ASHP until next year.

Exceptional Company.

From the first conversation with David to the last one I can only say 10 out of 10 for the the staff and the speed at which the installation was completed in 2 days. Everything went smoothly even with a breakdown to the service van (tyre blowout and had to be replaced by a hire van). I have no hesitation in recommending Puraflow Renewables for the Staff, Equipment and Installation and a bungalow that has never been so warm throughout, and guaranteed for 10 years and free annual service for the same period.

Following on from previous review

Following on from previous review, unsurprisingly they made contact straight after the review was published, took details and once again promised a call on Friday, nothing, today nothing. I’m sure this review will prompt them again to call. As I said in the last review Do Not Believe The Lies.

First Class Company

The whole service from my first contact with Puraflow through to fitting and commissioning of the air source heat pump system was first class. David came and talked to about this type of heating and gave me a price then a 2 hour survey was carried out a few days later. Jed from the tech team rang to update me as to what they were doing then David came back and we agreed final details. Everyone involved with the actual fitting of the service were excellent and kept me informed as to what was happening. I highly recommend this company and their lovely employees.

I don’t really know where to start with this review. My house had no heating at all when I moved in, and as we live in the country, there is no access to gas. A heat pump seemed like a good solution. Unfortunately, since having the system installed a year ago, we have had nothing but problems. I was initially told the installation would take approximately four days. It didn’t. At first, I was told it would take an extra two days, which I was completely fine with. Then, after that, no one could come out to finish the job for over a week due to their schedule (which is not my problem). I had to move my wife and four children out of the house during the installation, as the house was completely turned upside down. Communication from the office was very poor. I constantly had to chase them for updates. The pipework was chased into the walls to an extremely poor standard. Most of the pipes have come loose from the wall, while others were not chased deep enough to be considered properly installed. Once the work was finally completed, I noticed a leak within the first couple of days. The pipes had not been soldered correctly, causing the leak. This required half of the floor to be replaced, which does not match the other half. Soon after, I kept hearing a very loud rattling coming from the pipes. The team returned, and only because I suggested it might be leftover solder did they realize the cause. Solder had been left inside the pipes, causing them to rattle loudly. Shortly after, the radiators became excessively hot. The electrician had placed something on the wrong pipe, causing false readings and making the system overheat. This issue was eventually resolved. Soon after, I had to have two new pumps fitted, as the system was still not functioning properly. The heat pump itself is very loud, and with the additional pumps, the noise throughout my house is unbearable. Certain rooms still do not heat properly. I spent a significant amount of money on this system and feel completely misled. I have made multiple attempts to contact the company via email, but have received no response for months. I recently contacted Mitsubishi to service the heat pump, but they said they could not come out due to safety concerns with it being installed on a flat roof. I now have a heat pump that is not fit for purpose and cannot be serviced. I only ever leave negative reviews as a last resort. It has been one year, and the issues are still ongoing. I sent one final email a few weeks ago giving the company the opportunity to make things right, and I have had no response. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

Really happy with puraflow…

I waited a couple of weeks before reviewing my experience of puraflow because things can go wrong, and they did BUT Jed and the team were accessible and extremely helpful, my problems seem to be fixed. From start to finish I have only good things to say. The survey was thorough and informative, I was given options. The team fitting the new system were efficient and the electrician went above and beyond in sorting out my teething troubles, including coming back and resiting the thermostat to a more suitable place. They even collected all the rubbish on time and Tom also took some unrelated big boxes for me. I am confident that they actually care about their customers and am happy to recommend them.

The whole team at Puraflow helped me and my husband with our new heating system. Their communication thoughout the process has been fantastic. Highly recommend, thanks so much!! 👍🏽

Excellent, value and installation.From the first visit we were confident…

From the first visit we were confident that this was a company that knew what they were doing. The Mitsubishi heat pump is very quiet, we can't hear it indoors, and even standing next to it you can hardly hear it. The installation went as described, good workmanship, clean and tidy. We already had solar panels and batteries, this was the next logical step. The system works well. We won't know the running costs till we've had twelve months with the system. Six months in the cost seen good, the winter will tell. Overall Excellent 👍.

Heat pump installation

Prompt and professional response to our initial enquiry and excellent service from start to finish. Great communication throughout. The installation team were fantastic, they did a great job and left no mess at all just perfectly fitted radiators, hot water tank and of course the heat pump. One week on and all is good.

Great all round experience

From start to finish, the Puraflow team were very helpful and flexible. Our house was not a simple install but the team cracked on and put in a real shift to get the job done!

All the people who were with this…

All the people who were with this company were polite helpful and cheerful, we spoke to Cat in the offices and the rep was David and they were very easy to talk to and were very helpful if we had questions. The men who came to survey, fit and wire us up were very cheerful, polite and answered any questions we had and were very patient in explaining how the system worked and can't fault them. They cleaned up after themselves and left the house tidy. Well done lads would recommend you all to others.

We recently had an air source heat pump installed by Puraflow, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The team were professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly so we felt confident in our decision. The installation itself was smooth and well-organised, with minimal disruption to our home. There were some changes that had to be made / accommodated but Puraflow bent over backwards to resolve to our satisfaction. The engineers were very knowledgeable, tidy, respectful, and clearly took pride in their work. We were especially impressed with how quickly they responded to any questions and how seamless the whole process felt. The system is now up and running perfectly – it’s efficient, quiet, and starting to make a big difference to our energy use. It’s reassuring to know we’ve got reliable aftercare support too from a friendly and professional team. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Puraflow to anyone considering a heat pump. A fantastic service from a company that really cares about its customers.

Pine Fields

From the first meeting with David everything went along very smoothly. The installation took place on two of the hottest days of the summer with absolutely no inconvenience to me. In my case the system was seamlessly designed to couple up to my existing underfloor system and during the past weeks has operated without fault, I’m looking forward to some cold weather to give it a real test - confidence remains high! What else can I say, price was good, installation crew were excellent, haven’t had any need to test service or backup yet, roll on winter.

Absolutely terrible service , constantly lied to but say they will check if something can be done and never got back to us. Currently seeking help from trading standards on the situation.

I highly recommend you avoid puraflow. They realistically acted as a sales company referring everything to different companies to do the work. There is no customer service afterwards even when things go wrong. I used the eco4 scheme and it was so rushed and badly planned. They don't show up when they say they will. A week long job takes months. And a year later I still have a leak in my roof, no heating in my kitchen, missing insulation, and a poorly designed system that therefore costs a fortune. I'm now having to contact NAPIT, Trust Mark, etc. to try and get things rectified. On installation I even had threatening phone calls from their directors pressuring me to sign completion documents. If I didn't they said I'd be liable for all the costs. Even though it wasn't completed!

Have a big old house in Leeds and needed 2!! Heatpumps to make it work. Was very worried about enormous radiators but managed to find some nice cast iron ones that look gorgeous. Jamie, Cole and Ross and the electricians did a brilliant job and worked extremely hard and cleaned up after themselves. Three days without heating and hot water but lucky with the weather. Adam, Jed and Ashley were great at helping me get my head round everything and gave me lots of time to think about it all in a very unpressurized way before committing. Overall a very good experience. Water pump is a bit loud but it’s in the cellar and I’m hoping to insulate the floor soon so hopefully that will dampen it. Got straight up to 20 degrees within a few hours of switching on and I had to get up in the night and turn down the bedroom radiator! Very satisfying having the gas meter taken out!

Installation just completed of our air source system The plumbers and electricians have been brilliant with excellent backup from the office Very painless process. I can’t recommend the team enough. So first practical impressions the unit is bigger than I expected but only marginally The system is noisy in the cylinder cupboard but hopefully that is just whilst it initially heats the house to temperature Time will tell but excellent so far

We had issues from start to finish with this company, since the moment of the installation in February last year until now. The cost of energy skyrocketed in one year of heat pump usage, averaging £180 a month, this is without counting the £150 cost for installation over the next 10 years. The house remains warmish, with a temperature set up at no more than 19°/20°. We're seriously frightened to put it higher, given the cost. The hot water not lasting enough. And all this with house battery and solar panels. The pump leaks constantly and it's been replaced already once as the first one was faulty, then replaced, and it's still sitting outside our house since October, waiting for someone to pick it up. An absolute disappointment. I can't complain enough, seriously. I'm cursing the moment we decided to put it and I would pay out of pocket to get back my boiler.

I chose puraflow Renewables to replace my gas boiler with a heat pump. Excellent service from the outset. Friendly and knowledgeable Tim gave me all the info I needed to make an informed decision, Jim was on hand to project manage the install, the team of 4 plumbers efficiently replaced all the equipment and the team of two electricians did a tidy job of wiring it all up and commissioning the system. The house is warmer than ever, using considerably less power, much quieter than the gas boiler, with remote control via the app. I'm so glad I chose Puraflow!
