New heating system

PCL fitted an air source heat pump and battery. From start to finish we had an excellent and professional service from the team. Everyone was very helpful and informative, providing advice not just on the basics of running the system, but also on how to tweak the system and improve performance as we get to know it. This was a major financial commitment on our part, so to have such an excellent team of installers was very reassuring. We would recommend this company to anyone looking to install greener energy systems.

Came to give me estimate for new radiators to be fitted said they would send estimate out to me that was over a month ago never got back to me . Very disappointing went somewhere else .

We had our house completely renovated at St Bees and on a very reliable recommendation chose PCL to modernise all of the plumbing and central heating. It was a decision we will never regret. The systems now in place are modern, thoroughly up to date and state of the art. Our bathrooms and showers are a pleasure to use. The insulation and zone heating must make our house one of the warmest coastal properties in the area whilst efficient on heating bills. Zone heating enables us to set our heating on a phone app at any place, anytime, anywhere and regulate the temperatures in different areas of the house. The company was easy to deal with through its dedicated phone line and the head of operations Mr Phil Clarke is bright, intelligent and advanced in his methods and ideas. All of his staff were smart, polite, experienced, competent and ultra professional. I highly recommend them and if you want further evidence you are welcome to come and see the work for yourself.

We have used PCL for several years to install and maintain our heating system. Most recently they installed air source heating, solar panels and a Vaillant heating system, including battery storage. As a new build project, they also undertook all the plumbing and electrical wiring to the premises. All the technicians and engineers are skilled, knowledgeable and reliable in everything they do, including the apprentices. The technicians and engineers are ably supported by an efficient office team, who provide excellent communication. It has been reassuring experience to work with Phil and the team, especially as we know they are responsive when dealing with emergencies or small jobs.

Phil Clarke and his PCL team recently did an excellent job installing an air source heat pump system, with new pipes and radiators, in our old stone house. All stages of the process, from initial heat loss assessment and advice on insulation needs (separately installed), to the installation itself and final documentation, were completed efficiently. PCL also installed water filters to enable the use of our borehole water with the new system. The new heat pumps are fantastic, and we are really delighted. Overall, we very strongly recommend PCL.

The team done the full design, specification, supply of all materials, installation and commissioning of our new build home. They arrived when they said they would, worked safely, were polite and done a great job. Defo use them again and now have them service our boiler each year.

Phoned PCL after my boiler broke down. i got a prompt reply and an engineer came soon after. Phil the engineer diagnosed the problem within minutes and sorted the problem. He was very polite and helpful. i would use this company again without hesitation.

We had a very positive experience with PCL Heating and gas engineers. They came out when they said they would on time, they hit the time scales they advised and were very pleasant and professional, they cleaned everything up after they finished and did a great job . Prompt response when a gas pipe to our boiler needed to be repaired. From initial contact through to completion of the work PCL were a pleasure to deal with, and the two guys that did the job were courteous, efficient & professional.

Just had a new boiler system installed at the pub by PCL. Phil came out to quote for the job and I explained the frustrations that I had with the old boiler system that we had inherited when we bought the pub, Phil went away and designed a system that would suit both the commercial and domestic element of the pub, which other companies had not done. Although not the cheapest quote, Phil has installed a superior product, which from the design should save me money in the long run. Everything was explained to me and how long the job would take and they arrived on time every day and completed the work to a very high standard leaving no mess. Matt, Grant and Ben worked long hours to install the new system and stayed late on the Friday evening to get the system up and running over the weekend. Really good set of lads and answered any questions that I had and explained everything really well. Really impressed with the new system and making savings on consumption already.

Phil Clarke installed a new boiler for us last year and have since provided an efficient, professional service. He and his staff are friendly, approachable and nothing is too much trouble. Their communication is superb and they respond to any queries or concerns incredibly promptly, even during lockdown. A fantastic service and one we wouldn't hesitate to recommend if you are looking for a heating/gas engineer.
