Ace-Eco limited

We used a local Dorset distributor to source a pellet boiler + solar thermal combination which they installed using out of area plumbing sub-contractors. This was a mistake for the solar thermal as out of implementation we had no support when issues arose over the last three years. We were recommended to use Ace Energy who have provided us with peace of mind, professionalism, excellent service and value.

We had a solar panel/battery system installed by Ben and the team at Ace and it's been one of the best investments we've made. The whole process was straight-forward and trouble free and I would highly recommened them to anyone thinking of getting solar panels installed.

I have found Ace Energy always to be thoroughly efficient and helpful in providing an excellent service. They also recently provided a very fast response in isolating a burst radiator and installing a replacement.

Excellent service from the whole company! Called as we had a boiler issue and no hot water, had an engineer at the house within a couple hours, everything fixed, very reasonable fee and one happy new customer! Thanks guys. 👍🏼

Ace Energy have been a good find. My experience with them is limited but can't fault their expertise and customer service thus far.

Time wasters

Initially very helpful on the phone, but still wanted a week's notice to get a plumber to fix a pressure relief valve on an immersion heater. I agreed, despite the constant hot water trickle leak, due to an apparent shortage of plumbers in the Bath area. I provided photos and videos of all relevant elements, as requested, and asked for advice on mitigating action while waiting for the fix. I asked they ensure they get the parts in advance and was willing to check anything else needed, as it needed fixing as soon as possible. I heard nothing until today, when I got an email saying my appointment had been delayed by another 4 days. I contacted the company to say that was unacceptable and I would now need to use an emergency service. I was then informed that my appointment was still on, but that they had the wrong date (today, rather than tomorrow) for the job. There was no explanation why I received notification of a 4 day delay. They confirmed that they could still get an angineer out tomorrow. I asked what the estimate for the job was, and had the engineer looked at the photos? They then said the engineer would have to come and look at the immersion heater in person before ordering parts. They then asked me to resend the photos, so it is clear they have neither considered the job, ordered parts nor done anything else in advance, and presumably would then have to book me another appointment once an engineer has actually looked at the job. Utterly useless, wasted my time, and if the inspection was needed, they could have done that a week ago and then booked the actual job later. Whilst the office has been polite on emails, they are not answering or returning my calls, so it seems they have been left holding the fort without any actual engineering support. Will not be using again.
