From my experience in having solar panels and battery installed I can highly recommend Solar Voltaics as a very reliable company showing fully professional attentions throughout the survey, design and installation. A special thanks to Alyssa, Gregg and Jake who did more than expected to ensure my compete satisfaction from start to finish.

Recommended to Solar Voltaics and very pleased I went with them. Very helpful and knowledgable at quote stage, no hard sales tactics which I like. Installation team were fantastic. Due to the weather I had a delay on day one and was kept fully informed. Highly recommended.

Update Jan 2026. My original review remains below, reflecting what seemed an excellent experience during specification and installation. Sadly my opinion is different 6 months later. The GivEnergy home battery is monitored and operated on a smartphone app, and SolarVoltaics did not warn us the battery recommended is difficult to re-pair in the common event that you change router. Even their engineers find it difficult sometimes. If warned, my daughter could have chosen a different battery, and/or arranged a new router prior to battery installation and at least not faced this problem for several years. As it was, unfortunate timing of a router change meant she lost operability of the system within a few months of installation and following GivEnergy's guidance was unsuccessful. This is a design flaw, not covered under warranty, and SolarVoltaics charged £336 to restore operability, just six months after installation. SolarVoltaics agree router changes are common, yet do not allow for associated costs in their projections of the economics of their proposals. Tread carefully. Original review summer 2025: "Solar Voltaics were very helpful throughout, patiently responding to my requests for multiple different specifications and quotes for a relatively small job. Despite being part of the national 21Degrees network they retain the great communication of a small local family firm, being easily able to ring and speak to the same person each time (thanks Joanna [Joanna no longer works for SV.1/26]). Scaffolding was erected and removed in good time and Solar Voltaic's installers were all good to have around. I would have no hesitation is using them again, and hope to do so."

Lead up to installation was faultless and professional. The installation took place as agreed over two days and was carried out without any problems. We were impressed with the attention to detail with both the installation of the solar panels and the battery and inverter. The handover instructions were comprehensive and we know that Solar Voltaics are available should we require further assistance. The system is working well and we look forward to reducing our energy costs. Once we have a smart meter installed we will also benefit from all the excess electricity generated. In short a professional Five Star service and product from start to finish.

Opted for 12 panels, inverter and battery storage. Surveys were done quickly, the price was extremely competitive. I pulled the trigger and within a month and a half I had a very well fitted system. The whole process was very easy, all trade guys were on time and very polite. The Electricians, especially Will, was very knowledgable and very courteous to my Home. Each day they even got the hoover out and cleaned everything as well as taking boots off inside the house. The route to the panels from the batter and inverter were pre agreed, and was very unobtrusive to the rest of the house. In all I’m extremely pleased with the workmanship and ease of this install. Never having done anything like this before I didn’t know what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Can’t recommend SolarVoltaics enough.
