Solarfix NI recently completed the installation of 16 solar panels and Duracell batteries at my home. The entire process was seamless from the initial survey and consultation with Darren, through the installation and subsequent follow-up. The installation itself, fitting the solar panels and wiring, with Matthew, Jonathan and Nicholas was excellent - fast, tidy and professional. The follow-up with Darren was a great opportunity to get a further explanation of the system and be shown how to simply configure the system. I would highly recommend Solarfix to anyone considering installing solar panels. Top job!

We visited the "Love Your Home" show in March 2025. A gentleman called Michael from Solarfix was giving a talk about solar energy in Northern Ireland. We listened with interest as it was something we had discussed doing recently. The information was clearly explained and thankfully without any "sales push". Much to our surprise he explained that it was not always necessary to place the panels on the south-facing roof of a building. Following his talk we spoke with Michael and he suggested contacting the office via email to set up a free visit from Solarfix. A week later a gentleman called SAM came to visit us at home. We had a list of questions which he answered in detail and this gave us reassurance that Solarfix would be an excellent choice for our Solar adventure! We had 12 panels installed on our garage roof - 6 on each side, plus 2 Duracell Batteries and a Solis Invertor inside the garage. An EDDI was connected beside our electric meter inside the house. All this working was carried out by the Solarfix team in a timely and extremely tidy manner. The Spark - Lorcan Duggan -deserves special praise as his job required a lot of climbing through small cupboards to place the wiring where it is completely obscure. Our installation was finished in 2 days and we were up and running. Sam and the office staff in Solarfix kept in touch both via email and phone calls to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. A month after the installation Sam returned to ensure everything was working correctly plus to guide us through the SolisCloud app. We now have our solar panels 6 months and we are so happy with our decision to install them. In the summer months we didn't use any electricity from the grid plus we had hot water every day. It's Autumn now and we use Economy 7 to charge our batteries at night using the off -peak rate.Would I recommend - Solarfix 100% Big thanks to Michael, Sam and Lorcan and obviously, SOLARFIX

If you’re looking to have solar panels fitted to your home, don’t pass this company by! Solarfix were recommended to me by a friend, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. From my first phone call to the on-site survey with Darren, right through to the installation team and the regular updates from Ross — these guys were bang on. The installation went exactly to plan, and Darren’s follow-up visit was excellent. He explained everything clearly and made sure I understood how the system worked. All the necessary paperwork was handled by the Solarfix team and copies were provided promptly. A professional, friendly, and reliable service from start to finish — highly recommended.

One week on from having panels installed and can already see the benefits. Would highly recommend solarfix to anyone considering having solar panels fitted - From the initial consultation, which was very informative, we felt that Darren took a personal approach to our house and the best fit for our needs rather than a pushy sell. The installation itself was carried out very professionally by a team of three, who made sure we were happy with any place tracking would go, appearance of panels etc. Very hard working and neat, and cleaned up afterwards. Impressed by their work! Follow up visit from Darren was great, he showed us the system again, installed the app and explained how it works. All our questions were answered, but it is reassuring to be told that at any time we could ring and get advice. Job completed, but left knowing Darren and Solarfix still happy to advise in the future. Very satisfied with both the product and the experience.

SolarFix did a fantastic job. From our first enquiry, to an in depth visit to house during which Darren explained the process and addressed points which other companies had not explored. He also explained that there is no point in maximising the panels without having adequate battery storage. This in depth visit and explanations gave us confidence that this was the right firm. Also had a recommendation from a work colleague. We got a 6.1KW system consisting of 14 panels with bird proofing, inverter, 5KW battery storage and Eddi water heater. The install team of Matthew and others (forgot your names) did a fantastic job. They checked first thing were everything was going and suggested a couple of alternatives which made sense. The guys were very approachable and worked great. They arrived about 8:30am and were finished about 2:30pm. Very tidy workers. The system was live from the finished install. I received a courtesy call the next day to ensure all was ok. Darren returned to complete the App and ensure all was working. He explain the full system and answered any queries I had. Whilst I got this installed in October and the weather has been very overcast and gloomy we still received PV Solar power thus giving us a saving. I’ve had the system a week and today was the first day with any significant sunshine - the system worked great and I’m looking forward to the rewards!! The whole process was well explained and the SolarFix team organised building control, NIE export and the install and commissioning of the whole system; and all the staff I’ve dealt with including the office staff have been great. I do not suspect we will have any issues but I am confident that SolarFix would deal with them promptly. I would definitely recommend SolarFix!!

I can’t recommend the entire SolarFIX team enough!! We contacted the office and we got an appointment that suited us for Darren to call out. His knowledge of the system was excellent and the advice on what system suited our needs was top class. Also, not once did we feel under any pressure to buy the system. When the fitting team arrived they were very knowledgeable and professional and their workmanship is to a very high standard. Darren called back and explained the working of the system and also set the app up for us. A very professional company with competitive prices. 2 MONTHS ON FROM INSTALLATION I had to contact Solarfix as I had made a mistake setting up my batteries to be charged at night. They were so helpful, they talked me through the fix and sent me a link to a video of how to carry out the procedure correctly. I was also advised if I wasn’t comfortable setting up the night charging they would send an engineer out. Excellent after sales service.

I started researching solar installers back in 2016/2017 and was immediately impressed by Solarfix, the only company in Northern Ireland offering estimated pricing directly on their website. In 2017, I became a customer, and they successfully installed a 4 kW solar panel system just before the end of the RHI scheme. True to their word, they completed the installation on time, allowing me to benefit from a quick return on investment. A few years later, I experienced a bird nesting issue, and as a loyal customer, Solarfix quickly installed protective measures for my panels, ensuring everything was in order. This year, I upgraded to a 5 kWh battery storage system from Solarfix. I waited for prices to become more affordable, and the recent 0% VAT on battery upgrades made it an even better investment. The impact was immediate — I saw a £40 reduction in my electricity bill, and with the phone app, I could track that the household had drained the battery before 8 p.m. After reaching out to Solarfix for an additional 5 kWh battery, I’ve been able to go completely off-grid during the summer months. In winter, I can schedule the battery to charge during Economy 7 (Day/Night tariff) hours, saving money on daytime electricity costs when solar power isn’t enough. Now, with a total of 15 kWh across three batteries, I rarely use grid electricity, especially during the day, and am only using cheaper night-time rates (~14p per kWh in 2025). On most days, I’m running entirely off my solar power and stored energy. The Solarfix team has always been friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable, answering all my questions promptly. I highly recommend them to anyone considering solar installation for their home.

Solarfix impressed us from start to finish. Winners for us were that they answered every question we could possibly throw at them and were friendly, patient and knowledgeable throughout. This includes everyone from the sales team at the start of the process, the install team on the day (complete professionals!) and the after care team have been fantastic. Solarfix's in person handover made sure everything was sorted for me completely without me having to stress about it myself - they did the NIE paperwork, the export process, building control, built the app, sent me out videos and tips about the system and months later they are still happily answering any and all questions we have. I know they might be a bit more expensive than other firms we got quotes from but you get what you pay for and the support from the whole team from start to finish (especially the aftercare) is absolutely worth it. Couldn't recommend Solarfix enough!

One of the best customer experiences in a long while! Great website to begin with allowing you to get a good handle on what level of Solar etc you might need, the options, and an estimate. Once ordered, after a detailed and courteous visit from Darren, installation was only about 5 weeks later. On the day, the team where there before 8am and away by 3pm. The panels are great, we also went for one 5kw battery. Honestly, the whole organisation is so joined up and they are not only efficient and reliable, but very down to earth and pleasant to deal with!

Outstanding work from the team. Handled everything to perfection. The install team knocked it out in a few hours and done a very tidy job. The returns i have got in just a few days has been top notch and even on the bad days its been more than enough. The administration was all done in superb fashion and made my life hassle free. Brilliant work and i will recommend them going forward with ease....

Fantastic experience from initial engagements.. unlike other solar companies Darren took the time during the home survey and worked out the best system for us rather then throwing a good price at us to get the sale.. Install day - what a slick operation on the day of install, very professional group of lads and very efficient couldn’t believe it was all complete in 1 day. Handover- 7 days after Darren came out, he installed the app for us monitor the PV system.He carried out all his quality checks along with going through the paperwork required for building control. Advised us on the export registration that’s required and to explore tariffs for winter battery charging. We are confident we made the right decision to go with solar and choosing Solar Fix to carry this out for us , couldn’t fault a thing!! Thanks for everything

From start to finish the whole process is explained very clearly. Darren called out, took an hour to go through how we would benefit. Did not try a hard sell, the product sells itself. Thursday 15 May we had our panels installed. One week later and we have used £0.23 from our power N.I account. The install team are very professional, were here at 8 30am, all done by 1pm and no mess. Darren calls out week after and sets up app, checks all working. Super job. Our only regret.....should have done it years ago.

The wiring routes were discussed and agreed prior to fitting. All the guys were very professional and the work was completed to a good standard and all very tidy. Solarfix took care of all the documentation for building control and setting up a Power NI account to feed back into the grid. The system was commissioned and connected to my app and has been running well since installation with no problems. I received a handover pack with all the details and certificates for my system. They were quick to respond with any query’s I had and everyone was very helpful. I would definitely recommend Solarfix.

I cannot recommend Solarfix highly enough. From my initial enquiry they were able to advise what system was best suited for my usage and talk me through the system and how it would work. The installation was arranged to suit me and through to installation and post install queries the staff have been fantastic ensuring that all necessary documentation was filled in on my behalf and the whole process was hassle free. I have had the panels in for 2 months and the system is working fantastic. I would strongly urge anyone looking at solar panels to give Solarfix a call.

I'm really impressed with Solarfix NI. They provided me with clear info on all aspects regarding solar panels. The install guys were friendly and approachable, their work was very tidy. Michael came over the next day and gave us an overview of the system and how everything worked. Couldn't have been any more helpful. Would recommend.
