Good service and very flexible on timing of visit. A bit expensive for the time the service engineer was on-site, but if you average the cost out over the 5 years since the last service (and the next service will be in 5 years), it then becomes reasonable. Peace of mind is worth paying for.
Been using Sunuser for many years ,with equipment installed at least 35years ago .Always had good service ,always here when they say ,and courtesies engineers.
Just completed our five year service on the solar water system. Refreshing to have pleasant service engineer that actually turns up on time and completes his job in a friendly and efficient manner. Thank Kevin and we'll done Sunuser.
Seamless, professional and friendly from start to finish. I made my payment electronically, but I was so pleased to see that they offer an option over the telephone as well, a service which is often lacking from other companies.
Very reassured by the professional contact before the visit which was borne out by the day of the service. Expected extra problems as panels had not be serviced for a while, but got the all clear.
The company has been extremely helpful with regards to assisting me with 2 different solar systems installed at my late Aunt's home whilst I have been selling the property. They are always prompt for appointments and keep you well informed.
Your engineer was a friendly fellow, knowledgeable and happy to answer my questions. Our complete loft system had to be completely dismantled recently due , In part, to it being installed across a pair of 4" joists, which, over the course of the 20 plus years began to sag with the weight of the hot water cylinder. The cold water tank In close proximity developed a leak and eventually brought 3 ceilings down causing around 12 thousand pounds worth of damage of which my insurance company picked up 8 thousand. The remainder was to remove the system by a gas engineer, the builders then constructed a much reinforced platform to support the system which ,in his calculations of the loads being applied should have been done from the initial installation. Then the system was refitted on it's new base.i think the hourly rate you charge is hugely expensive for a little over an hours work , materials cost was literally to refill the glycol and make sure it was all in operational order. I only hope when the sun comes out it proves to be a worthwhile expense. Financially if we save maybe £100 per year on gas for solar hot water and the 5 year service charge costs almost £500 I'm wondering how I really benefit from having solar panels at all. Yours Geoffrey Warren. Having just read your response to this review I can't believe anyone at sunuser actually reads or takes any notice of what I wrote in my overall review. Very dissatisfied with your attitude.
The engineer apologised for arriving early for our five year service. He was courteous, friendly and respectful to us and our property. The whole service was completed in an efficient and professional manner with a full explanation of all the procedure and the results. Very satisfied with all the work.
Kevin was most helpful and pleasant. He did his best to solve the problem but apparently we needed an electrician before the unit would work. Hopefully then all will be well. All Sunuser people are most helpful.
Richard was very helpful, friendly and clearly extremely knowledgeable. He carried out the service efficiently and left no mess. He answered my concerns and added some useful possible solutions to our difficulties.
Good service, arrived on time after having difficulty arranging an appointment which was not the companies fault. Did the job effectively and efficiently without any fuss. Thank you.
Our hot-water solar panel installation preceded our arrival at our house, over 10 years ago. Since then, we have followed the Sunuser servicing schedule, supplemented by the occasional fitting of replacement parts. We’ve been very pleased with the support of Sunuser. About a month ago, a sensor in our roof-top panels failed and we timed its replacement with a 5 yearly service. The arrangements, which included sub-contracting to scaffolders were co-ordinated by Derek, very ably supported by Isaac who covered the admin and billing side of things. I couldn’t have asked for more in terms of their helpfulness and speed of response, the latter of which was in hours not days. I’ve found them an excellent company to deal with.
Your engineer couldn't have been more helpful. He quickly identified the problem; fixed it and monitored the readings on the info screen to make sure everything was running smoothly.
The engineer arrived about an hour late but apart from that he did a good job. He's been servicing our equipment for many years so he knows it well. Quite a satisfactory service visit.
This was the second time Richard has been to our house. He is polite ,respectful and gives honest and good advice. Spotted an issue that needed fixing and did so promptly. Perhaps the charge for a straight forward antifreeze change no problem service could be a bit less.
Richard arrived on time for a booked appointment. Being his second visit in a few years, he is dependable. Replacing a 15year worn tank part, he explained clearly the process to non-plumbing and non-tech people. Thank you Richard - welcome to come again.
Richard the plumber was very efficient it took him about half an hour to repair the Solar Hot Water System. He understood the system and nearly 24 hours later it is still working well. It is great having super hot water from the sun. Thank you.
Having bought a house with solar panels established I really didn't know much about the system other than it gave out lots of hot water. An old installation but still going strong but decided to have the 5 year service. Discussed this at length before the engineer called which put my mind at rest. Thorough service, fully checked. Very pleased.
Richard attended and quickly identified the fault - a loose wire in the probe in the roof panel. He was on his way to Devon in 30 minutes. He was very helpful and polite. Thank you Sunuser Ltd for organising the visit at short notice. All staff very helpful with their response.
The engineer arrived exactly on time. All that was required was new anti-freeze (?) and a general check over. Some useful advice about what to do with a tank full of very hot water in the current heatwave! The installation and the service were totally satisfactory.
Had the system 21 year's now
Had the system 21 year's now. Hard sales pitch, to be expected installation fine, although a couple of months later realised a number of items Has been stolen from my loft. Has worked well until 18 months ago when it stopped working. Every part via the tank had to be replaced! A few months later realised there was a.leak and system had stopped working again. Phoned Sunuser and was told a prv needed to be fitted, suggested that it had been fine for 20 years and if one was needed why didn't they fit one on installation.

This company sent a buffoon to do a simple job of changing fluid. He ended up going into a part of the loft where he didn’t need to be and ended up breaking water pipes. It flooded down into the kitchen of my bungalow, ruining insulation, blowing the electricity, covering the hob in slime and soaking towels I used to mop up the water. The place looked like a disaster zone and he left everything trying to blame me in 3 different versions. On said buffon leaving I noticed he had also spilt fluid all up the hallway. They had the nerve to send 2 demands for bill saying not their fault as all automatic. I sent pictures of the devastation left behind and a full report, they said they would look into it. I waited until the forecast of getting colder and emailed to say I would employ someone to do the work, I have never heard a word from them. Avoid this company like the plague

Our predecessor here had roof solar panels installed bt this firm. They were inefficient and broke down several times. It was uneconomic to maintain them. When we had our roof replaced Sunuser charged us £1800 to have the panels removed along with the pipework and wiring. The latter was not done and we had to employ another firm to get this done. Sunuser have not replied to our request for reimbursement. Please do not use this company especially if you live in the south.
