When we had a major issue with leakage of our solar panels, we were forced to look else where, as the original supplier of the system, no longer provided this service. It was a particularly tricky job, as the house, is a large Scandinavian ECO property. so lots of insulation and boarding of the loft area. Andy the Managing Director, came out immediately, looked at the issue, sent a drone up to check the panels on the roof, and then arrange for one of the engineers to attend, just a few days later. After various checks, they found the leak, and administered the repair. The system is an integral system, so not easy to deal with. What's more they found other small issues that we had not noticed, and sorted those. In addition, because of there expertise, they pointed out issues with our underfloor heating, that we are now getting done. Peasant and very prompt efficient staff from the initial call, to the finished job. Brilliant service !!! Will potentially be looking at expanding our solar requirements. I did call another local company and was asked to email in my issue, which i promptly did. That was a week ago, still not heard back, i know which company i will be using for all our future requirement's

We had high electric bills so I contacted Sussex Solar for a quote because they had fantastic reviews. Andy visited and I can’t praise the level of professionalism more. We moved to Sussex from Durham and finding reliable professional people has been a challenge, however, Andy was very thorough, listened to our needs/problems, surveyed our home and came to a conclusion that wasn’t expected as he advised we take a different course to solar panels. We will use Sussex Solar for a smaller project but we are taking his advice on his alternative suggestions for our requirements. Andy’s integrity, attention to detail, communication etc were of the highest order. I had my own financial services business built on trust and relationships and I would recommend Sussex Solar without any hesitance, to anyone. I know what excellent service is and how it looks and it looks like Sussex Solar.

After reading about Sussex Solar in the wonderful free distribution magazine 'All About Horsham', I had no hesitation in contacting them for a quote. Having solar panels for several years, it felt like time to acquire a battery to charge up from them to make our household energy use more efficient. The affable director, Andy, visited promptly, and I was soon sent competitive quotes matching my requirements. As soon as I accepted the one that suited me best, Sussex Solar swung into action, approaching the relevant authorities to get the necessary permission. This took a few weeks, but soon enough I was given an installation date on which Wesley and Fin turned up, working quietly and efficiently throughout the day to install my brand new battery. Immediately up and running (silently), I am delighted and have no complaints. Andy has recently returned to check that all is in order and give me final instructions on how to monitor the battery's activity using the free app I'd been shown how to download onto my smart phone. Fantastic! I would recommend Sussex Solar to anybody.

I chose Sussex Solar after getting a selection of quotes & deciding that they looked the best from both reading previous reviews & the fact that they were local. Their proposal (15 solar panels & a Powerwall3) was very detailed both in terms of what would be installed as well as the projected performance of the system & I was happy to proceed. The installation team did a great job in really horribly wet weather over a couple of days in early January & installed all the equipment where I wanted including suggesting a location for the earth rod that didn't affect my recently installed patio. The system looks very neat both in & outside & is performing well so far. In fact it managed to produce 7.8kWh the other day which I thought was pretty good for the third week of January in the UK !

The whole team at Sussex Solar has been excellent throughout. From our initial enquiry through to completing the installation of a heat pump in our 1970s 4 bed house, we could not fault the customer service. We were replacing our life-expired oil boiler system under the government Boiler Upgrade Scheme. We wanted to use a reputable local supplier with the expertise to specify reliable equipment that would integrate with our existing pressurised hot water cylinder. We felt confident that they understood our requirements and would only recommend a product if it was right for our situation. The installation work was undertaken with minimal disruption to us, by a highly professional, hard working team, and completed to a meticulous standard. Communication with us prior, during and after installation has been superb. The system was finished just before Christmas. We were apprehensive knowing that we would have a house full of people as the weather finally decided it was winter. However, the heat pump quietly ticked over, meeting all of our heating and hot water needs, and not a drop of oil was burnt to achieve it. We would thoroughly recommend Sussex Solar if you are considering upgrading to an air source heat pump.

We had 9 Canadian Solar panels installed with a Tesla Powerwall 3 combined battery/inverter. Sussex Solar were very professional and organised throughout the process, keeping us informed at every stage. The design and proposal from Sussex Solar were detailed and included three options for the battery/inverter. I chose the Tesla Powerwall 3 for its simplicity of operation and versatility. Sussex Solar made site visit after the installation to check everything and make sure we understood how things worked. We have moved our electricity supply from OVO to Octopus, to allow us to take advantage of the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff, to allow us to charge our electric car AND top-up the batteries on cheap overnight electricity. Having made this switch, the battery easily has enough capacity to run the house from an overnight charge. It is still early days, but we can also see on the Tesla app. that the solar panels have been providing 15% of the energy - which is not bad, considering we have only had the system for a short time in the winter months. We plan to register with the Outgoing Octopus scheme to sell any surplus energy during the summer months. In conclusion, we were very pleased with the service and quality of work from Sussex Solar and reassured by the fact that they are a well-established local supplier.

I found out about Sussex Solar through the MCS website as wanted assurance of quality work. From the start of the consultation with Andy it has been a great experience and the whole team with the installation and the whole process. Even during the installation the team were always asking questions to ensure that I was happy with the install. They also had all the information I needed to reassure me that I had made the correct decision choosing Sussex Solar. Very happy with the attention to detail and the install and final checks done.

From start to finish, Sussex Solar Ltd have provided an exemplary service during our solar panels installation. They took care of everything, from providing a competitive quote, supplying high quality solar panels and battery, installing them smoothly, obtaining all necessary permissions (ie building control, electricity company etc), and then great aftercare to show us how the app and system works, all in layperson terms. Andy and his team installed our solar array back in 2011. We were impressed with the advice and service we received then and the system has worked faultlessly. When we wanted to add a battery this year Sussex Solar was the first company we contacted. Once again we received helpful advice from Dom who made two visits to discuss options for the system. The quote was competitive and the installation and commissioning of the battery was undertaken by a polite and friendly team led by Wes. Wes was also very helpful in explaining how it all worked and making sure the phone app was talking to the battery. Andy visited us a week after the installation to check the system was ok and to advise on how to best use battery. Very happy with the service we have had from Sussex Solar.

Sussex solar recently installed a heat pump, solar panels and battery for us. The service from start to finish was incredibly professional and we are so pleased with the finished result. After looking around, I chose Sussex Solar Ltd to install a Tesla Powerwall and a 3.6 kW solar PV array on our garage roof. The entire process, from the initial visit to the installation day and post-install care, was incredibly smooth and trouble-free—a truly top-notch service all around. On the day of the installation, six engineers were sent, which ensured the process went very smoothly and efficiently. From Start to finish Sussex Solar were competitive, professional and efficient with both installations on our new build house project. They installed 30 roof mounted solar panels with battery and an ASHP. All staff were knowledgeable and courteous, thank you. I would 100% recommend this company.

Recently had Solar Panels, Battery & EV Charger installed by Sussex Solar. Having had a terrible installation experience on our previous house with another provider, I did not want to make that same mistake again. Dom spent time understanding where the last installation had gone wrong and what my concerns were. We then spent lots of time discussing panel layout, cable runs and installation. He talked me through the entire thing and accommodated all my requests or offered suitable alternatives. It was after this visit that i decided to use Sussex Solar. The actual installation did not disappoint! The guys did a great job. Neat, clean, and tidy. Super happy with the work they've done and how they went about it. Dom returned a few days later to check everything was ok and that i was happy with everything. If your looking for Solar installed, i can wholeheartedly recommend these guys.

Well, I can’t sing the praises of Sussex Solar enough. We used them to install a heat pump and solar in our 1970s 4 bed property, and we are really pleased with the results. It is a minefield out there with so many start ups 'having a go' at offering these services but lacking the expertise and experience. National organisations offer attractive deals but outsource the installation and lack customer service. I was really impressed with the reviews of Sussex Solar on 'Which', and they fully deserve their outstanding score. This is a business with integrity who will only recommend a product if it works for your situation. One reviewer had pointed out that you may pay more than the best offers out there, but the quality of service and peace of mind is worth it, and I completely agree. We went with Sussex Solar expecting a personal, professional and market leading service from a hard working family firm - this is exactly what we got. They are perfectionists. Every one of the team was impressively professional and a pleasure work with. Excellent communication within the business and with us. Andy the boss was meticulous in his approach, and the apprentices who are fortunate enough to work for this firm are highly educated, personable, knowledgeable, and have an intuitive understanding of heat pump and solar systems which they convey with confidence and in a way that is easy to understand. Thoroughly recommend.

High quality bespoke install - SOLAR & Battery I wanted a PW3 & solar installation - Dom and the team at SS do quality work with attention to detail. Cables and units installed exactly where I wanted for maximum aesthetics. From the back office staff to installers all were a delight. Very neat and tidy installtion and works as expected first time.

I wanted solar panels and a battery so got estimates and surveys from three local companies, all Which Trusted Traders. Sussex Solar was not the cheapest but I was impressed by the more intelligent nature of my discussion with the boss on his survey visit and with all the other reviews. The work was commenced on the scheduled day by a team of four and despite the wet weather all outside work was completed on the first day, leaving one person to finish off all indoor work on the second day. The workers were all friendly and responsive to queries as things were proceeding. Throughout, communications with the office were also friendly and quick, so as a result my certificates and approvals from the power network were obtained without delay, enabling me to apply for an export tariff. The workers were more impressive than the regular and the system is working just fine. I'm left feeling confident that if there's any subsequent need for support that I would get a good response from the company.

Sussex Solar installed solar panels for us in March 2023 and a Tesla Powerwall in May 2023. The whole setup has worked flawlessly so far and we are very pleased with it.
