Consistently good company helping us for years

We have been clients of theirs for possibly 12 years or more and would recommend them to anyone. This company get back to you straightaway and will also come to you urgently (as in the case of a leak at ours) if required. They are knowledgeable, polite, efficient and the work is done well. They are always helpful with any questions as well, going above and beyond with assistance with any help you need.

Going the extra mile.

After having a problem with my solar and battery setup Norfolk solar were reccommended to me, so after a call to them an appointment was made for a visit to sort out my system. The appointment lasted a whole day, but so much was sorted out and setup, with contact back to the office during the day for more technical information requirements. My system all vack up and running with improvements to keep it running better. And a follow appointment later for software updates. I would reccommend Norfolk solar for your solar needs as they go the extra mile for you without question.

Great service

Prompt service, arrived on time, fully serviced the system. Explained everything and was very friendly. We only need the system serviced every 4 years, unlike calls we got from other companies, who say we need it doing more often. They also have us down to do another service in 4 years.

If we could give 10 stars we would. If you are looking for Solar Thermal servicing repairs or installation then Norfolk Solar is the only company you'll need. We couldn't get our solar thermal system working after it being removed and reinstalled by roofers. Called Norfolk Solar who arranged a visit very quickly to see what the problems were, bit of a process of elimination and the repair wasn't straightforward at all it took a lot of fault finding and 2 more visits. Richard who attended is methodical calm and and expert in the world of Solar. He explained everything in detail and gave us all the possible issues, outcomes and how best to go about solving the issue via the most cost effective route. Richard never gave up even though our system was behaving in ways not expected. He persevered and tried again. We now have a fully functioning fully serviced Solar Thermal hot water system. Craig in the office is a real gentleman as well and we never felt pressured into making costly decisions or hasty ones. Pricing was exceptionally fair and explained to us how costs were calculated. Both Craig and Richard are lovely to work with, respectful and conscientious. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them for anything renewable energy wise. Thank you Norfolk Solar you have it spot on.

Our Solar panels were already installed…

Our Solar panels were already installed when we purchased the house in 2013. Since then Norfolk Solar have carried out the four yearly maintenance program contacting us when it is due. Everyone is friendly and efficient and we have had no problems with our system over the years. Would highly recommend!

Very professional company

Very professional company. They went out of their way to help me when I had to remove thermal panels from my roof. My roof was repaired, Norfolk Solar came back and re-fitted the panels.Ben and Richard are very conscientious and very knowledgable. They did an excellent job on a very old system. I can’t speak highly enough of this company. I strongly recommend them.

Top company to deal with. Ten years ago Norfolk Solar installed a solar hot water system which has been excellent and hassle free. Now moving house and Norfolk Solar have installed a 10 panel system to my new property. Craig who oversaw the project was exceptional with his knowledge and explanation of the process. A big thanks to him and the rest of the team for making everything run smoothly. A great local company and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I choose Norfolk Solar to install our Solar PV because they are a local company, they have been in business for a long time, and (typical for here in Norfolk) because of word of mouth. They co-work with Solar Power GB. I have now got 24 solar panels on my roof, a SolarEdge inverter in my spare room and a 10kWh SolarEdge battery next to it, producing, storing and exporting solar energy. I am pretty sure that I will use very little electricity from the grid, averaged over the year, and my export to the grid in summer will offset my import during winter. I would not have been able to do this without the help and advice from the Norfolk Solar team. There is Craig in the office. We had lots of telephone calls, and he was wonderfully patient, answering thousands of my questions and helping me to choose the right system for my house. He is very organised and guided me through the administrative part, actually, he did a lot of forms and applications for me. He made an administrative process, which could have been extremely complicated, look very easy. He was always friendly and reassuring on the phone (even when I thought one my hens had hidden in his van, but that is a different story ....). Basically, he is the person you need when (like me) you have no idea how to get a solar PV system onto your roof! There is Jack, the roofer. He is a friendly guy with many years of experience who was happy to explain the installation process to me and answer (even more) questions. He had the whole lot installed, on his own, within 1 1/2 days, including cables and bird protection. I admired how carefully he carried these huge solar panels up the scaffolding ladders! There are the engineers, Dany, Richard, Darren, and Ben on the phone. I needed a lot of engineers because there was a problem with two missing parts for the inverter and for battery. It was a little bit complicated and needed two extra days to sort it out, but everybody worked incredibly hard and somehow they managed not to loose their sense of humour. I must say, Richard was the star of the team! I could not believe my eyes when he came back late in the afternoon on the second day, having found the missing chip somewhere in the local depot, and then proceeded to fixing it and getting the battery to work (he should have gone home hours ago). Richard is usually dealing with the solar thermals. I had known him from the past, some 20 years ago, when as an apprentice with a different company he installed our solar water system. This is what I meant when I mentioned "word of mouth" earlier! So, my conclusion: It was a pleasure having Norfolk Solar working for me. Installing a solar PV system on my roof, something which I had dreaded for many years, became an easy and even enjoyable process. I love watching the solar energy showing up on my SolarEdge app. I am happy to do my part for the environment. I fully recommend Norfolk Solar. Norfolk Solar had installed a thermal system for hot water providing a good supply of hot water over several years: It has been a brilliant success, with Norfolk Solar servicing the system as required. At a recent service I discussed the option of Solar panels with their engineer. I contacted their office and arranged a quotation and after discussions with Craig Daly their project manager I received a quotation. I also arranged similar quotations with other companies. Norfolk Solar were my first choice. The whole system was installed and i am very please with everything they have done, Craig is always at hand to help with any questions I have. Many Thanks Norfolk Solar It is now 12 months on since i wrote this review and since then i have had an excellent after sales service. Craig has made remote changes to my inverter to optimise the system and achieve excellent returns in exporting energy to the grid. my bill have been reduced and pay back i am sure will be sooner than expected. many thanks Craig and Norfolk Solar

We had our 10 year old solar panels removed as we needed a new roof. This was task was completed. Panels removed and replaced with no breakages thank goodness. We then decided we would have solar batteries installed and Norfolk Solar was the company we choose as we had experienced their workmanship and efficency. We liked the idea of supporting a local established business. We have found any queries with the batteries are very quickly resolved. Highly recommend this company.

Our solar panels stopped working. Craig in the office believed it was the inverter. Richard the engineer solved the problem after 2 visits and he installed an pv envoy installation.which should have been there from the beginning. System installed by company now not trading , cowboys. We now are able via an app to monitor all panels and see how much power is being generated every day. We highly recommend Norfolk Solar for excellent customer service and a knowledgeable and efficient engineer. Panels have never worked as well as they do now

I was very impressed with this company. Rapid diagnosis and solutions given with easy to understand explanations about our solar system. Work carried out was quick, efficient and without fuss. Whoever I dealt with was friendly and responsive to questions asked. They did what they said they would throughout the process. Brilliant!

Norfolk Solar - it has been a painless and easy install, evan though we had problems with the electicity supply. This was all sorted by the company in a professional manner. A report was witten which found that the other problem was a faulty inverter which fitted by another company (company went bankrupt). Norfolk Solar sorted out the power supply problem with the electicity company and fitted a new inverter with a 10 year guarantee. Honestly one of the worst companies I have dealt with in a long time, initially prompt, we accepted thier quote and then nothing. I continued to chase for the formal paperwork but Ben completely ignored me, I called and emailed, was strung along that I would recieve everything soon and nothing, eventually I got bored of chasing and never heard from them again, would definitely recommend avoiding at all costs. Dont waste your time.

Norfolk Solar live and breathe renewable energy systems! They are extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the technology, and provided us with friendly, informed, objective advice, with absolutely no hard sell. Thanks to Norfolk Solar, we now have a small PV array and are planning to install solar hot water very soon. The installation itself was undertaken efficiently, professionally and tidily. (I know of no other renewables company that have such faith in the their product that they run a company vehicle with it!)
