I am very disappointed with the lack of professional communication from Ecolution Group regarding my solar installation paperwork. The initial experience was positive. I contacted them on 16th December 2025 regarding my MCS certificate and received a quick response by the 18th. However, that is where the service stopped. On that same day (18th Dec), I requested the G98 (DNO) certification letter, which is essential for me to register for energy export with British Gas. I received no reply. I followed up on 9th January and was told over the phone that they had "requested it from the DNO." Since then, it has been total radio silence. I sent a formal warning on 1st February and another follow-up on 5th February, but they have completely ignored my emails. The most frustrating part? I contacted the DNO myself, and they confirmed the system is already registered. Ecolution simply needs to provide me with the confirmation letter/certificate, yet they refuse to respond to my messages or provide the document I need to start getting paid for my exported energy. I am very unhappy with how I have been treated. It shouldn't take months of chasing and formal complaints to get a single piece of paperwork that already exists.

If you are having problems with heating or hot water, and looking to efficiently, effectively and quickly resolve those issues, please do yourself a favour and stay as far away as possible from this company.
Mr Boris the operations director help me out with my heating and hot water supply as my Houseing company MOAT was not helping me out and it’s a Saturday afternoon and he called me at 9.15am on his day off and got the water temperature back up as was a fault in the system and keep tripping out and my wife is disabled and I have health issues was amazing highly recommend
SCAFFOLDING COMPANIES/TRADES BEWARE!! This company have caused us a world of stress and a big financial loss after we erected a fairly large amount of scaffolding for them and they never paid us. After carrying out fairly large scaffolding job on their instruction at a Sports Centre near where we're based they waited til we'd started works before saying we'd need to wait for 30 day payment etc. We erected the scaffolding, there were delays in completion of their works. After completion of works and dismantle of the scaffolding we chased payment for months and months, with little to zero communication from them baring in mind it was towards £10k worth of agreed work. They then came out with a couple of cock and bull reasons that 'they weren't happy with our level service' and suggested that we'd solely lost them £200k worth of work with the client due to; 'kids getting unauthorised access to the roof from the scaffolding', aswell as us 'taking too long to dismantle the scaffolding which caused them to suffer a loss of image with thr main client', both of which are ridiculous suggestions to say the least. There were no ladders fixed from the ground to the scaffold as a precautionary measure to eliminate the possibilty of unauthorised access. They requested the scaffold's dismantle when I was away on holiday and after I'd informed them a week before that if it might be ready to come down that the work schedule would be finalised and not changeable whilst I was away, yet they requested it to come down while I was away. I picked up the email a day before they'd asked us to strip the scaffold, and told them it wouldn't be feasible at such short notice, but we'd try our best to get it down as we could fit it in, and even still had 70% - 80% of it down within days of the requested date albeit very last minute, and the last bit removed at the beginning of the following week. So we've been more than accommodating. I also spoke to another company, Alternative Heating who were involved in the project and the site manager said there'd been no such mention of any of these fabricated reasons brought up with the main client, so Ecolution are basically palming us off and making poor, unfounded excuses to not pay us. They also said there'd been major issues on the job on their own (Ecolution's) behalf ie. terrible communication, delay after delay, poor wuality installation etc. and any loss of potential future work was fully down to themselves, so we feel even more hard done by that they've tried to palm off their own shortcomings as an excuse not to pay us for what we feel is a more than stellar quality of scaffolding service that we've provided. You can see by the photos of our work that it's tidy scaffolding and no access left from the ground, and this company have fully shafted us with poor reasoning not to pay us after chasing and chasing payment for months with nothing mentioned initially. Current situation is they've offered and actually sent 50% payment that we've not agreed to and obviously against our request for full payment, which we don't even have as its being held 'in escrow' by a debt collectors as we are taking the approach of drafting in the assistance of debt collection agencies/bailiffs, and will as many take further steps necessary to pursue payment. Steer clear of these cowboys I dare say if they've done it to us they've probably done it to a lot of other trades!!
Heating engineer, Connor, visited today. His service was excellent from start to finish. He explained everything clearly and solved the issue with my heating and hot water quickly and efficiently. Connor was polite, patient, and thoroughly professional throughout the visit. I’m very pleased with the service and grateful for his help. Thank you!
Ecolution fitted the solar panels to my new build house. There is now a maintenance issue and they are refusing to send an engineer to have a look. I am happy to pay as I realise the panels are out of warranty. However, they have stated that due to a change in their business model they will not service their own product. This is despite their website saying they offer maintenance services. I have been fobbed off on the phone and they do not reply to emails. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!
10 days not hot water and heating no body come terrible service
Really poor customer service, problematic Solar Panels and fobbed off with any reason not to address the Issues in a blunt manner, please don't use this company, you only learn how good they are by the way they deal with issues and then its very disappointing.
Just Had a solar thermal renewal instalation done, works contracted via my housing association.It was supposed too take two days, they barely did 4 hrs on first day and 2 hrs on the 2nd, couldnt complete it, rude member of staff, left me with a boiler not functioning, ( he claimed it wasnt his problem ) had a gas engineer out for my boiler they were appalled at the plumbing they had done, incompetent and careless. Boiler still not working, puzzled engineer. Another team were sent out too complete the work the first guy did 3 days later. This morning Solar not working at all, not circulating ( warm sunny day )pressure rising, a broken boiler, ( awaiting a report from the problem )so 6 days I'm still without. Installation poor, taped exposed cables bent copper pipes, hanging solar hoses, pressure vessel installed directly in front of boiler, can't get good access too it. All the old pump expansion vessel and pipes cut off and left. It's left me days off work for shoddy installation, and still nowhere. Completely ruined my week and Bank Holiday. If only i could upload images. Avoid like the plaque. I would have given it 0 stars if I could.
We had Ecolution around to fit a heat pump and although the system works the instilation is absolutely shocking. I am a gas heating engineer myself and I immediately noticed they had not installed key safety features which they had to urgently come back and sort out, they’ve not installed the outdoors unit in accordance with the manufacturers instruction and still to this date months later a few of the safety features to stop scaldings have still not been done. We’ve asked and asked and asked for a response on this but it appears they’ve taken the money and run. I have reported them to MCS and posted pictures of all the shoddy work on Heat Pumps UK. They’ve totally destroyed the areas of our house they worked in and even cut through our banister in the hallway to run pipes through!! On top of all of this I caught the 3 engineers working at our property drinking and then trying to hide the beer cans on our cameras and at one point trying to cover up the cameras so they could drink without being caught. Never seen such a terrible company I wish I could give lower than one star! Avoid like the plague
Great range of products, installed by a professional team
I paid for investigation and service -£450. A wrong engineer was sent (not qualified to do the investigation ) so he couldnt do it. I asked for a refund but was told that although the engineer was not qualified he consulted over the phone with a colleague- I was standing next to him when he made that phone call and there was no consultation. Four months I have been trying to get my money back and the company did everything in their power to avoid it and delay it. I have now advised my fellow neighbours on the development of my experience and noone is ever going ro used them.
I have been a customer of the Ecolution Group for a number of years (annual servicing) but I do feel let down now. I had a thermal panel replaced at a cost of over £5,000. The engineer when he completed the works told me he was leaving me with an airlock but it would get sorted at the next service. I thought no more of it but now I have been presented with a further bill of over £600 (with VAT) to fix. The MD at the company has confirmed the technician left me with an airlock because he couldn't get it out but this time their will send a senior technician. If I had got a senior technician to do the original job I wouldn't now be presented with an additional bill of £600. I offered to meet the cost somewhere in the middle but not accepted. Very disappointed.
I took the time to call them a week ago (in the morning), we spoke on the phone, I followed up with an email (as they requested) confirming what we'd discussed (a request for an urgent appointment to resolve the faulty heating and thus 13C temperature in our house). I explained our urgent situation (heavily pregnant) and 20 month old daughter living in 13-15C & was told we should be able to get an engineer out this week (that has now passed). I received an email at nearly 5pm today (they close at 5) the email states 'please advise if you would like to book an appointment' - setting up an (urgent) appointment is exactly what we'd discussed on our call (a week prior) and subsequently in my email where I stated 'Could you please confirm a date for a site visit / service & resolution of the heating issue and price as discussed please?' I'm really not sure how there could have been a question as to whether I would like an appointment??? I understand it's a busy time of year, BUT having three 'vulnerable people' in the house, in 13C temperatures & them saying we should have an engineer attend within the week, to not even get a response (when I was told I would hear back later that day ref an appointment) then to get asked a week later 'did you want an appointment'? is incompetent Due to responding a full week later, (late afternoon), meant we now have to suffer a further weekend at least with no heating. Thanks for nothing guys, it's now going to be hit 'n' miss as to whether we'll have heating again before the New Year. Happy friggin Christmas! Looking for a reliable, prompt & professional service? avoid these guys, it'll be a total waste of your time & by the sounds of other reviews wasted money too
Barish attended my property and fixed the hot water Excellent service. Great customer service. A speedy Job cleaned after he finished 10 out of 10 all the way. Great job Ecolution !!!!!
Engineer Baris attended our estate Isambard house couple of months ago and resolved an ongoing leak missed by a number of engineers. Clarion have now completed the damage repair works in the flats. Would like to say a big thank you to Baris for his knowledge and professionalism in sorting the issue out 👍
Shocking company and very slow to respond. Came out to me due to no hot water or heating and after initial visit diagnosed new parts needed. Fair enough. 2nd visit and turned up with wrong parts plus a PCB missing. 3rd visit and arrived with all parts and still not fixed the problem. Now over 2k down and they have disappeared with no communication.
I called Ecolution to fix my hot water and they sent two electricians the following morning. Simon and Barish did a fantastic job, they went over and beyond to make sure I was all set up and very happy with the work they did :)
Lovely lady Shannon took my call at 08.00 this morning, no hot water. Someone will be with me later today. Wow. Barish arrived and was friendly, professional & knowledgeable. Replaced both non working thermometers and it's working again. He ordered other parts to update my boiler. I will be contacted in about a week to arrange this. Fab service!! Thank you.
