James and his team at Eco Switch cant be recommended highly enough. From the outset, James was professional, personable and very informative. He took the time to review our property and recommend the solutions that would best fit our requirements and property. He was never pushy and allowed us time to make our decisions and once we agreed on the system he was efficient and timely in installing the system. Throughout the process, James was on hand to answer any questions and provide techincal support, and has continued to do this over 12 months after the install.

James and the Eco Switch team are the company to go for if you're looking for solar battery installation. We initially had a quote from another company and had James in for a second quote. He identified that the equipment specified by the other company wasn't suitable for us due to our usage patterns, so James recommended an upgraded inverter for us. Despite this, to my surprise, Eco Switch's quote was actually cheaper for a better system. His subject knowledge and attention to detail are second to none. Initial contact was very helpful and informative. No pressure was given to make you sign up instantly. The communication and planning throughout was excellent. The installation went smoothly and we are happy with quality of the workmanship. The in roof solar system looks modern and we have had lots of compliments about the design. All certification paperwork and MCS certificate were provided. The support post installation has also been excellent with James answering any queries straight away. Great Service We had a solar & battery system installed by a company that went into liquidation and James came to look at one of the batteries that kept switching off intermittently. He noticed a number of problems that, whilst not stopping the system working, were not correct. James explained the issues in clear & concise language that I understood, offered to allow me to switch our monitoring over to his company & left. There was no pressure to pay his company to correct the faults at all. I felt reassured. I approached HIES to enquire on the insurance backed warranty but was advised that having paid partially on credit card I needed to follow section 75 in the first instance. Again, James to the rescue (not all heroes wear capes!) he came and spent several hours going over our total system, taking photos etc and produced a comprehensive report for my credit card company. This process took from June 2024 until early February 2025 so not a quick process at all. James and I stayed in contact throughout and I was relieved to have him there in case of any issues. James offered a couple of alternatives to us including a new larger inverter and battery capacity. We discussed each option and we opted to keep our existing set up plus an extra battery, James explained the new set up, additional requirements due to regulatory changes. Again, very patient, no pressure and the planning & communication throughout has been brilliant. James and Jacek arrived early Monday and worked until late to remove and reinstall. The difference is staggering. All in All - I'd definitely recommend James to anyone (& that's unusual for me!) wish we'd found him first time around but such is life.

James is fantastic, very knowledgeable, helped when other could not. A proper job. Have and will recommend! I had a bit of a strange one. Had a solar system installed by another company that went bust. I started having faults, was going round in circles. James identified the fault (very poor install), was super helpful, supportive and very patient through the section 75 credit card claim (to remove and reinstall) and spent many hours helping me. (Trying to solve it without a section 75 claim first and then supporting me through the section 75 claim with evidence, regulations, etc) I thought I knew a lot about solar after doing all my research but James knowledge is fantastic and so much better than big company sales persons. From a G99 application (that a number of solar installers did not know about), through to system design suggesting a different battery size that I thought I did not need (I was wrong!). I really appreciated the lack of pressure, the support and the going out of his way to help. The planning, contract process (I read every document and felt no pressure to skip bits), roofers, delivery of kit (even with a delivery hick up) installation went really well with lots of communication and letting me know what the next steps were. The electrician Jacek was great too. Clearly knew the regs in depth too, suggested changes when what I wanted did not comply and was very helpful. Post installation was great too, the pack of documents, warranties, info, etc was explained and received promptly. Also the system demo was very useful too. Having had the unfortunate luck to have two solar installs I can compare the experiences and this was 11+ out of 10! As an aside I love the fox inverter compared to the Sunsync. No fan so no noise (I could hear the Sunsync through the garage wall), better battery discharge rate and a nice battery stack so less space on the wall! And the panels without the lines look great too!

I cannot recommend them highly enough, the level of product knowledge and pride in delivering a quality job was refreshing. The system was installed to a very high standard and works brilliantly it is performing better than the projections. Follow up service has been incredible. Although I’m not exactly a customer I wish I was. We have an uncommon set up, an all electric household with batteries and an EPS switch. We had the batteries and switch installed to mitigate the consequences of planned power outages, which haven’t happened yet. They also save us money because we can make good use of off peak electricity. The supplier led me to believe we would be able to discharge the batteries down to 5% but we can only get to 15%. They went bust before fixing this. We then had a fault and I found a company to fix it from the website of the inverter supplier, Sunsynk. They did this but weren’t interested in trying to get to the bottom of the discharging problem. So I went back to the Sunsynk website and made a few phone calls. James from Eco Switch Improvements has been very helpful. If I was starting from scratch I would be more than happy to use his company. James put himself out to help. To cut a long story short he established with Sunsynk that the discharging problem is down to the software in the batteries and that because my supplier went bust there is no way to get it upgraded. Well at least I now know what the problem is. If I have any more problems, or want to improve the system, I will definitely use Eco Switch Improvements.

Very professional service and installation. We had our system installed over a year ago and I can honestly say this has been the best purchase I have ever made. From start to finish our experience was first class. Eco Switch are very open and upfront about the costs and gave us assurance about the installation to put our minds at ease. Everything was installed as promised and with minimal disruption. Since then, we have been provided first rate after care as the system is monitored meaning we can literally forget about it. We opted for a system that includes batteries, which is a must if you can afford it. The savings speak for themselves. More than £2,200 saved in less than 18 months. This includes export as well as self generation. We would save even more but for the fact we run a hot tub from about April to August so could make even more from export if we didn’t. All I can say is what I say to everyone about solar, if you are thinking of doing it, stop thinking and just do it because the sooner you get it, the sooner you will start saving. I would definitely use Eco Switch again without hesitation.

We checked out two other companies before we chose James at Ecoswitch on the personal recommendation of a friend. The quotation was very informative with lots of extra emailed specifications of panels, batteries etc. At no point did we feel rushed or pressured, in fact the whole process took a few months while we considered our options. As a plus point the extra time enabled us to have higher spec panels as they are constantly evolving. In addition, with all the extra knowledge our aspirations changed and James tailored the system so that we could be as self sufficient as possible.Throughout James kept in touch answering questions and explaining any delays eg bureaucracy, delivery etc. The actual installation was very efficient with scaffolders, roofers (to install panels) and electricians coming and going with great precision. Incidentally the scaffolding was up for less than a week. James was in attendance every day supervising and ensuring a smooth high quality installation, even going up on to the roof to check on things. He and Jacek the electrician took great care to ensure that extra circuitry required to run during power cuts was as unobtrusive as possible. Paperwork and MCS certification were promptly provided so that we could export our spare power to the grid. Since installation James has remained in touch both to check all is well and answer any further queries. All in all, with our experience, we would be more than happy to recommend James and Ecoswitch if you’re thinking of having solar panels.

James from Ecoswitch improvements visited us to explain the options available for an on-roof solar system, talking us through battery choices and the pros/cons etc… James made everything easy to understand for those who are new to this developing technology which helped us decide if batteries were the right choice for us. The noticeable thing was him not chasing us to place an order, ie he’s not a pushy salesman chasing his commission payment, quite the reverse! 6 weeks on, after system going live, it was the right decision for us, our imported electricity in that time has halved. The tradesmen used by James for the installation and commissioning were polite, tidy workers, did a good job and were very quick. Our system was 8 panels and 2 batteries, installation started mid morning on day 1 and by middle of afternoon on day 2 we were generating our own electricity! All of the certificates and legal documentation was completed for us by James, removing that hurdle of understanding the process and done within 3-4 days of system being live. The after sales support from James is as you want, he is at the end of the phone and always ready to help, but never bothering you unnecessarily. He has been helpful with guiding us to a better utility company, as well as assistance with APPs on our phones, to both monitor and control our solar system. All in all, highly recommended!

I thoroughly recommend James and his team. James was very open and honest right from the start, and kept me fully informed. Our first contact with Eco Switch was so positive that we decided to stop looking anywhere else for our solar system. When we met James he answered every question with confidence and clarity. The whole process was very easy throughout. From the scaffolding going up to the men fitting the panels and the delightful electrician we cannot fault the workmanship. Our very old roof tiles took a little bit of damage which was rectified quickly before the scaffolding came down. We are really happy with every aspect of the installation, the savings are more than we expected! It’s all quite new and we appreciate that winter isn’t far off but we can see that even on a relatively dull day our panels are doing their job and the batteries are being charged. Eco Switch was recommended to me by two very happy customers whom had used this company to install their solar systems. From the very start James was incredibly polite, patient and punctual. He answered all of my questions (and there were lots!!) Often answering in layman's terms so i fully understood everything. James was totally honest with me and actually undersold so we got the most practical system at a great price. Couldn't recommend getting solar panels more, and using Eco Switch to do so. The whole process has been very quick (after abandoning a previous company who haven't managed to do it in 12 months due to 'supply issues'). The equipment provided is better quality than other companies have been trying to offload onto us with newer more efficient panels rather than clearing out older models. James service manner is excellent and if you have any worries about switching to solar he's the man for you as he can (and will!) explain everything in detail. Wasnt pushy at all and made a difficult decision easy. When it comes to the job itself he and his team clearly know the regulations inside out and have done great work installing our system in a challenging 'non-standard' environment. Above all else we haven't used a Watt from the grid since our system was installed 4 days ago which is what we should all be striving for so go solar with Eco Switch today!

Absolutely super company, very good advice, very committed and great communication! We don't have a standard installation (panels are installed on an outbuilding). James took a lot of time to plan and advise. In an installation there are things you can't plan for, unexpected events happen. What is important is how they are dealt with. And James is excellent at dealing with the unexpected and problems. He just finds a solution. Amazing! We are super happy with our solar installation and can absolutely recommend this company!!!

Very pleased initially with the quotation, James was very informative with a competitive quote, no sales waffle. Standard of workhamship was excellent. Two weeks since the installation was completed and we have already noticed that our electricity bill has more than halved. We would definitely recommend this company!
