We contacted a local company . SOLEC Energy, Dover, UK. After several companies had not turned up. We were in dispute with Octopus who had insisted we get our own solar engineer in to sort out the problem of there making. A quick call to Lee and he visited the next day. Spotted the problem and sorted it out. Has kept in touch till we sorted it with Octopus. Very friendly and genuine person. Highly recommend him.

After going to the effort of sending annotated photos and a video of the works and location required to install my EV charger back in September, JPS just stopped answering my emails, possibly because it was not a straightforward wall mount, but still really frustrating when you are willing to pay for a service and they can’t be bothered to quote, or even tell you they don’t want to do the works…

JPS came personally recommended.I have had my battery installation for one month and l am very pleased with it. JPS were professional throughout, from the first tentative steps with Miles and his on site assessment, then the pre installation visit through to the terrific install team and office staff. All five stars. The price was competitive and the work completed to a high standard. I have not installed solar, but if l do, l will definitely be contacting them to quote me again.

Professional and efficient

Following necessary electrical work (not carried out by JPS) it appeared that our solar panel system was incorrectly reporting to our energy provider. Generated electricity was being reported as imported. I contacted JPS as they had installed our system several years ago. I was impressed with JPS when they installed our panels. I cannot speak highly enough of Simon who guided me through the issue and Stuart who came and quickly resolved the problem. As at installation time JPS were professional and efficient. I highly recommend JPS to anyone wanting to install solar panels or needs advice.

All members of JPS I communicated with were friendly, polite and knowledgeable and the installers kept me updated with progress and confirmed location of each item being installed. GivEnergy Battery added to existing solar system. I chose JPS energy to install a GivEnergy All in One Battery and Gateway to add to my exisiting solar panel system. I had contacted a few companies, but JPS were the only one that got back to me straight away and talked me through the options available rather than just giving a quote. The service I received from JPS was very professional thoughtout, from the initial enquiry, through to the site survey and installation. The engineers that installed the battery and gateway were very professional and did a neat and tidy install of both devices. The whole installation process took less than a day. Once the system was commisioned the engineer took the time to talk me through the system and answer any questions I had. From my experience I would definitely recommend JPS.

Initially unreliable and amateurish

Having waited months for an installation, paid a deposit (in which time the market price of the equipment had dropped by 20%) JPS Energy cancelled the installation appointment at the close of business the previous evening and delayed for another month. Of course no acceptable explanation was given and the office was closed as soon as the email was sent, so none could be sought. This company charge top market rate but provide ghetto service. In hindsight it would have saved me time, money (literally thousands) and effort to have used someone else. Edit: Once the issue was raised, JPS took steps to find and rebook a more acceptable date for the install and made a financial discount gesture to help compensate for the delay and late change. I am satisfied with a fair customer service response.

Perfect from start to finish

What a great experience from start to finish. We initially looked at having our aging Hanergy 10 year old panels replaced last year, and finally made the decision in February to invest in 15 panels, a Powerwall 3 and a Zappi car charger. There was nothing wrong with old the panels, in fact they were still producing as well as the first day they went in. Technology moves on though, and the same roof space will hold 3.5kw instead of the old 2kw. Our designer, Ross, came out to run through the numbers with us, and showed how we could use both the SE and NW pitches to generate. Dan completed the survey a couple of weeks later. the office team of Ben, Naomi and Kate kept us up to date with when the scaffolding and installation would be happening. It was a 2 day installation, with Harry, Luke, Steve and Ashton arriving on time, being professional from start to finish, leaving the place nice and tidy. Harry explained the Tesla, Enphase and Myenergi apps to my eldest in great detail. It's been nearly a month since install, and everything is running perfectly.

JPS Renewables installed 18 Solar Panels and a Tesla Battery in August 2023 for us. We are so glad we used JPS to install these for us. The process was so smooth from Site Survey with Matt to the Installation Team completing the work. They were all very polite and respectful of our property and tided up as they went. When they finished you would never have know they had been round. We have left it until now to write a review as we wanted to live with the Panels and the Battery for a while, we can now safely say this was the best investment that we have made. It is great seeing your Tesla battery charging up via the Tesla App, it almost becomes addictive for the first few weeks, all this free energy being harvested from the sun. We did get another quote from another company, but we weren't happy with their ideas as this other company wanted to put Solar Panels onto our Garage roof to get the maximum wattage for us. JPS did not see the need to do this and I believe we now get a bit more energy harvested with the Solar Panels JPS have used and all 18 Panels are on our roof as we wanted. We highly recommend JPS.

The whole process of the installation of my solar panels and battery from the initial visit by the salesman, the survey and the installation itself were very professional and efficient. I am delighted with the result, it is very neat and the equipment and cabling is unobtrusive. The first battery that was installed failed shortly after commissioning (no fault of JPS), but they installed a replacement the next day which was brilliant. I am very pleased that we selected JPS for the project...

We have recently had a solar installation from JPS Renewable Energy and we are delighted both with the system and with the service that we received throughout. Miles Petterson our design engineer was incredibly helpful and always available to answer any questions and to give support. Louis and the other office staff were polite and helpful. The installation team led by Dave were professional, courteous and very efficient. They explained all that they were doing so that we could make best use of the installation. We've dealt with several members of staff at JPS during the last year or so and without exception, they have all been very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. We had a Tesla Powerwall fitted recently by Anthony and Rob and they were both excellent, very friendly, very courteous, totally professional in everything they did and with an attention to detail that is so often missing these days. All JPS staff have been excellent throughout and we've had no problems at all. We would have no hesitation in recommending JPS to others.

I found JPS Renewable Energy at the Fully Charge Show. Jack was very helpful and quick to respond to queries through out the process. The installation team arrived when expected and completed the installation to a high standard. Very pleased with the results.

From start to finish JPS service has been great. I was under no pressure at all to get signed up and I was given just enough information to know what was needed and not to be confusing/overwhelming. The surveys and fitting of the panels were carried out with respect to my property and all workmen were really respectful and friendly. The scaffold company used were also great, very respectful and careful of property and a nice bunch of people. (I've had bad experience with scaffolders in the past so it was very reassuring to know therecare some good ones out there). Would recommend JPS without hesitation.

JPS did not provide the "cheapest quote" for a solar system but with the use of high end components and a truly first class installation service it was great value for money. From start to finish the process was smooth and I was kept updated with the progress of applications. The installation was quick and the team kept the disruption to an absolute minimum. Was able to have the scaffolding put up in advance to allow time to undertake other repairs. The enphase microinverters have really helped with the shading issues and the fully black panels with bird mesh look tidy and in keeping with the area. This company really is the Carlsberg of solar installers.

JPS have been professional and courteous in all areas of communication, their site team were excellent and the Team leader Luke has advised on all aspects of the installation which has resulted in an excellent, tidy and easy to use system which has so far delivered exactly what was proposed by the surveyor Mat. I would not hesitate to recommend JPS for the installation of Solar Panels and Tesla Powerwall.

The on-site service by all JSP guys was very professional, respectful, and very approachable. They kept me informed at all times during both installations, and made sure I was fully aware what had been installed and how it worked.

When you're making a large long term investment in your home, you need a company you can trust and these guys delivered for me. From start to finish I received good pragmatic advice and no hard-sell approach - giving me time to make sure I knew what I wanted and was happy with it. A very transparent process. I do recommend that if you're looking to invest in your property in this way, you do your homework though and ask all the questions you can. Also, factor in manufacturer warranty periods and consider optional extended warranties, where you might want a bit of extra cover. Communications with JPS have been good both during the sales process and continuing today with any queries I have being dealt with - even when they may be tricky questions. JPS answered all my questions, no matter how technical, and were able to explain how and why things fit together the way they do (AC/DC connections, etc). The install process was smooth and the installers were incredibly professional and approachable. Everything is installed neatly and very little mess during the install (all tidied up at the end as well). Can't recommend these guys enough and, in fact, I'm already considering expanding on my installation within the next year or so with JPS. I've uploaded a couple of pictures of the install and, like others, you can see how good it looks. Thank you to everyone at JPS - from Jack the designer, to everyone in the office and, obviously, the incredible team of installers who put it together for me.

We had JPS install solar, batteries and an EV charger earlier in the year and they were fantastic. I originally made contact to ask about solar and batteries. Ross got in touch later that day (energy prices weren’t so crazy in January 2021) – he knew his stuff and was able to talk me through the potential solutions – and played devil’s advocate a bit to my thinking which was really helpful. Following a bit more research we decided to go ahead and JPS managed the whole process. Importantly they had the stock and people to install. As part of this we also decided to get them to install an EV charger – we’d been waiting several months for a large company to install and JPS had the whole thing sorted in a couple of weeks. Everyone we dealt with was super knowledgeable, gave great customer service and from what we saw, they seem to have good systems/processes in place to support the customer journey. Install teams were efficient and friendly (especially when fed with tea and biscuits!) and left things tidy afterwards. We’ve been really pleased with how the system has performed over the summer meaning around 80%+ of our energy needs have been met by solar power (including car charging) and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend JPS based on our experience!

I have to say how hugely impressed I have been. Having done as much research before contacting any salesmen I had a decent understanding of solar installations and also had a good idea of my requirements. I started to contact solar pv installers and found them to be slow to respond and one local company told me they wouldn't answer any questions until I was willing to confirm that I could go ahead with the installation within a month! Then I made contact with JPS. Ross answered my questions straight away and wasn't pushy. In fact he was a total pleasure to deal with. As were the office staff in dealing with a couple of questions I had. From the point of me ordering the installation they have exceeded my expectations. They have kept me informed at every stage of the process and done exactly as promised. On the day of installation it was raining all day, however the 3 installers never complained. They were polite, tidy and respectful. The installation is very neat and the system is out performing expectations. 5 stars..... I'd give higher if I was allowed!

JPS Renewables and Richard come with my very highest of recommendations. I was originally recommended Richard by around 3 or 4 people on the Tesla Owners Group UK Forums; and while the quotations from some of the national installers were slightly cheaper - I wanted the ability to interact with an actual specialist and not just salespeople (especially as I wanted to integrate my Solar with a Zappi and Eddie). To this end, as soon as I met Richard I cut off all communications with the other installers and committed there and then. This has definitely paid off, not only was the install perfect and the integration with Zappi and Eddie Seamless - but when I came across a few issues with a neighbour along the way - JPS were professional and discrete in finding a solution.
