Everyone I had contact with from the first information wanted call right thro' the survey, electrical inspection and arrangements for scaffold supply and the actual fitting of the panels and ancilliary equipment was pleasant and helpful. My only slight 'critism' is that as an aged and not TOO practiced on computers I found it a bit of a plethora of messaging etc .and computer savvy needed to complete the hand-over and completions

Very good company to deal with from survey, quote, installation and follow up care. Andy was really good and helpful during the quotation phase and Ellie absolutely brilliant dealing with post installation questions and sorting out my new EDF tariff. Everything was done on time and as planned, the fitters and electricians were polite and friendly. No issues or complaints whatsoever.

Excellent service all round

Right from the initial quote through to installation and completion of the export agreement we found Contact Solar to be very professional, easily contactable and reliable. The whole process was remarkably easy. The communications were excellent throughout. The third party scaffolders were very polite and removed the scaffolding very quickly after installation. The installers were excellent. 16 panels and 2 batteries installed and handed over by mid afternoon. The finished works look very neat. Well done to all concerned.

Every person who supported us through this process at contact solar were knowledgeable and truly passionate about the product. They helped us decide what we required and were upfront with costs no hard sell, easy to talk to. The process was extremely sufficient and we are impressed now it is all fitted how well it is all working, and the app is very impressive, as you can tell we are not techno people.

Very good service from the installation team and the customer service team. Installation was done to a very high standard and my system is working just fine. Only one thing that I wasn't very happy with is that in the Quote wasn't included a bird guard Installation. I had several Quotes from other companies and all of them included bird guard Installation. So I will have to do it my self or get another company to do it for me.

Easy, easy and easy.

I got in touch with Contact Solarsi thought having solar power to offset my electricity Bill was a good idea. I first made contact in December and ten panels are fitted on my roof by February 16. I can’t comment on how much money I’ve saved as it’s still very early. But the people I dealt with have been superb; from Ellie in the office answering emails and calling with regular updates, to Phil and Lloyd who fitted the panels so quickly and efficiently and everyone else involved. Many thanks to all!!

Spent a lot of time trying to make my mind up with worries about installation cable routing and cable management along with solar panel installation but was very pleased the team that fitted our panels and batteries were excellent full explanation of all aspects were polite and respectful at all times very pleased with there work as a electrical engineer myself i was really pleased many thanks to contact solar for there time and understanding.

It felt like it was all smiles and nothing was too much to ask… until they had my money. Now, I feel completely left on my own with a handful on unanswered issues and additional costs to which I feel I should not have to pay. I do not feel there was proper handling of my complaint either. I’ve even gone direct to EDF and all they do is push me back to Contact Solar. I thought I was getting some reassurance by going with a company connected to EDF. Boy was I wrong. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

I am happy with the service provided from the first contact to the installation. Everyone has been helpful and friendly keeping me informed at all stages of the process. The installation was carried out in a day and the operatives were also helpful and friendly ensuring my requirements were met.

Round in circles, I have been in contact with the company constantly since October last year 2025, The price keeps charging. Excuse after excuse as to why they are not progressing. Install in 4 weeks, then 6 now 8. Customer service is appalling. Either they take a long time to reply or they just ignore you completely. I raised concerns as they are EDF and I had a very poor experience with them. They assured me they are just a sub by branch and not EDF themselves. Well they are living up to the name. I'm at the point of cancelling the order as still no install on the horizon I will be looking for another supplier and starting all over again very disappointed in this company wasted so much time.

I had Jack phone me on a pre-arranged appointment to help me work the Sunsynk Connect App. He was very helpful and also entered some of the information for me. He helped me move from the Connect Pro App, to the Connect App, as it is much easier to understand. It was great having such clear instruction from the Contact Solar Team. have been very pleased with the installation, from start to finish, and now the aftercare.

Contact Solar have been an absolute pleasure to engage with over the purchase of Solar panels and relevant equipment. From the initial discussions as to what deal we needed, to final handover, each and every contact has been efficient, professional and informative. Of particular note was the installation team who worked tremendously hard to complete the installation even in inclement weather. ok , having now had my system installed can see why 5 star reviews, competitive pricing (tick) communication (tick) bar a slight hiccup but more me than them, install team 10 star service, not quite finised yet but looking forward to great things

I wouldn't recommend at all absolutely dreadful to deal with. 1st instance was installation off panels and we were left with a leaking roof which we had to get sorted. When installation was taking place we had 4no battery storage for the solar which were a expensive addition to complete our needs. 3 years on all 4 batteries have failed due to overheating which the engineer told us they were to tightly packed together. The batteries stopped working in June and to this date they haven't even been picked up for them to be examined so they can replace with new ones . Customer service just seems to go round and round when trying to sort out all off our problems

Existing Customer:I recently changed my Wi-Fi provider, and unfortunately my unit hasn’t been able to connect to the new network. This issue has been ongoing for weeks, and so far the only support option has been through email, which hasn’t resolved things yet. For customers who are considering switching Wi-Fi providers, please be aware that the unit may not come back online easily after the change.

Fantastic from start to finish things moved quickly from initial first conversation about a system for my house was kept mostly up to date with everything that was going to happen agreed on a price survey done more panels added scaffolding went up really quick a week later the installation team were here and fitted it that day a week later scaffolding was down and job was done . A great plus and one of the reasons I went with contact solar was I was already with edf and they did everything filled out all the forms sorted all the solar stuff out and got in touch with edf to set up my tariff and export that should go live very soon . So all in all I would definitely recommended contact solar they just did everything for you and that was what I wanted as I didn't have a clue about what to do fantastic job.

I was with another supplier and only contacted Contact Solar for a comparative quote for a PV and battery system. The quote was very competitive and everything was explained clearly. After giving the go ahead, things happened smoothly and quicker than initially indicated which was good. The installation team was excellent and did a good handover. The only aspect less than ideal was the removal of the scaffolding, they arrived at 7.30 on Saturday, with no notice given. I stress they were not Contact Solar team but contracted. So, overall I would highly recommend Contact Solar. Their parent EDF is a different matter, slow to respond, gave unclear instructions to commission a smart meter (had to do it myself when the engineer who installed it should have done the full job). And the engineer who did come out, twice, was surly and dismissive. "I dunno, you'll have to call EDF" seemed to be a standard response.

Had the system for 1 year now, no complaints, team are great from initial quote to install. Amazing service. Went for 22 panels and 2 battery's with a car charger. We now have 2 electric cars with a combined mileage of 25000 miles, charge the cars with octopus at night very cheap along with the battery's this means most of the electric produced during the day is export. Overall I predict that I will have 0 electric cost, which will include charging our cars and covering 25000 miles. So they payback is very quick on the system, less than 4 years. Very happy.

Communication with Contact Solar was good from the outset, with everything explained clearly. Staff were friendly and informative, without being too pushy. The installation went smoothly and was completed in one day. The fitter worked efficiently and left no mess. He ensured I understood how it all worked. The only small hitch I had was after the installation, with EDF, in terms of getting the export set up. I became very frustrated dealing with multiple different people. However, this was resolved eventually and I am pleased with how the system is running.

We had an array of solar panels installed, with a battery system by Contact Solar (12 months ago). The experience in dealing with the company has been nothing but positive. Excellent initial consultation process to ensure we installed the most appropriate system with capital costs clearly explained (no pressure selling) at a competitive price, followed by a well-organised and efficient install with Sunsynk batteries and online monitoring app. On a couple of occasions when our online connection has gone down (power cuts etc) there has been excellent and friendly advice on the end of a phone to get the Sunsynk monitoring up and fully running very quickly. Thank you Contact Solar. I can highly recommend this company.

My choice of Contact Solar was purely down to previous reviews and confidence in the individuals we spoke to. We have not been let down at all. From Dominic the first contact and Solar specialist, Lawrence the surveyor, the support staff (Grace), scaffolders and the panel and Inverter/battery fitters. Above and beyond every one of them. Start to finish in under a month. Everybody working to provide a quality outcome. I can't recommend his company high enough.

Perfect experience from start to finish! **I have 12x Jinko panels, 1x 5kWh Sunsynk Inverter and 2x 5.3kWh Sunsynk batteries installed** After getting a number of quotes from various companies I quickly realised there were a lot of sharks and hard-sell solar companies out there but Contact Solar were fantastic start to finish. Initial survey was done remotely and they happily talked me through the options and some rough costs (and these costs came down several times during as they found ways to get me a better install for less money!). Then I had a in person survey where they took me through the install and options as well as a chat about potential cable runs ect, once agreed I had scaffolding installed within 2 weeks and about 10 days later the panels, inverter and battery installed in a single day. The install was great and the guys took me through everything and offered a number of options for cable runs to keep things neat and tidy. The handover by the installers was detailed and the paperwork and instructions left on the kit were detailed but clear. The handover by the office was also very good including the warranty details and I did not pay a penny until after the system was installed and completed. If you are looking for a solar solution please do you due diligence but whatever you do make sure you get a quote from Contact Solar they were the perfect professionals and thousands of pounds cheaper than the rest of the quotes I had for the same or worse setups!

Excellent. I was a customer of First4Solar. When it went out of business Contact Solar took over its outstanding orders, and offered to do the work for the same price as quoted by F4S. In fact they not only matched the price, they improved the specification; and did it for the outstanding price, minus the deposit. So it was excellent value, and very considerate of them. I'm absolutely delighted with the service, the process and the end result. The only slight downside was that it took quite a long time to get the paperwork for setting up export; but that's all done now (with Octopus) and working well. The company responded quickly to all my queries, both before and after the fitting (and paying). The fitters were brilliant. Not only did they work very efficiently and neatly, but they came up with a much better solution for positioning the batteries and inverter. And the cable routings were also very well thought through; practically invisible in fact. They started at about 0830; they had it all completed and tidied up by 1530. I have no hesitation in strongly recommending this company. UPDATE May 2024. Batteries stopped working. Entirely my fault as I'd changed some settings to fit with a new Octopus tariff for summer. But I couldn't work out what I'd done, so I called Contact. They were brilliant - within a few seconds they'd located the issue remotely, and talked me through changing it back. (I'm an idiot but they very kindly didn't mention that...)

Thanks to Geoff for his excellent advice in choosing the best battery system to link to my solar panels. This is second time I have used this great company. No sales pitch just good advice and great pricing. Engineers arrived on time. Very friendly, respectful and efficient. Ensured house left clean and tidy and that I fully understood how to use the app. Becky in accounts then sent lots of helpful advice via e-mail. Highly recommended

Excellent service from my first point of contact on 18th April until placing the order on 26th April. I discussed with Mason various options with regard battery storage and whether to put arrays on both east and west roof. My order was easily amended once I'd made my final decision and the survey booked. The scaffolding was organised and went up 26th May. Panels fitters arrived before 8am 30th May and had installed my array and battery storage in the loft with four hours. Scaffolding was only up six days and was removed 2nd June. I had a courtesy call Friday 3rd to check I was happy with my installation and talk me through the documentation I had received. I have now received all my documents including MCS and have signed up to export to the Grid. Absolutely first class service. Look nowhere else.

From the outset, Contact Solar were very up front and honest providing a detailed quote and plenty of advice and guidance about what I could have installed, the process, costs and timescales. The sales person was always available to answer queries I had. In fact, every single person I had dealings with, whether it be in person, or on the phone, was extremely helpful and professional. There are no upfront costs giving me confidence in the Company and their system. First class Customer Service and team in general. Would highly recommend.
