Absolutely brilliant experience with SMS from start to finish. Communication throughout was excellent. They even came one day early to carry out pre-checks, which was a great touch and showed how organised they are. On installation day, they called 30 minutes before arrival and turned up exactly on time. Mo and Callum were fantastic — really professional, friendly, and patient. I spent a lot of time “bothering” them while they were working, but they didn’t mind at all and were happy to explain things. You do need to keep their caffeine levels up though 😄 — they initially said no to coffee, but after pushing 4–5 times they finally gave in! The installation was completed on time, and they then walked me through exactly how the whole system works, step by step. Special mention to AbdiRashid, the owner. From the very beginning he was excellent — came to my home personally for the quotation, gave honest insights, explained everything clearly, and was always available on WhatsApp to answer any questions. All documentation was completed and sent back by the next working day, which was impressive. The system has been up and running smoothly, and we’ve been off-grid for the last 6–7 days, exactly as promised. It’s doing precisely what AbdiRashid said it would do, which was the whole reason I went ahead. Highly recommend SMS — professional, reliable, and genuinely great people to deal with.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the SMS lads who installed our solar. They were all hard working - fitted on the coldest day of the year - and no moans… Must mention Cal and Mo, superstars, both took time to explain “what and why” . As members of the older generation this was very much appreciated. Thank you.

5/5 — Outstanding Service and Quality I recently had 17 x 475W solar panels installed along with a Tesla Powerwall 3 battery, and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. The team were absolutely amazing — highly professional, polite, and genuinely focused on delivering the best result for me. They arrived on time every day and involved me in every decision they thought necessary, from where to drill to how/where the cables were routed. They always took the best option for me as the customer, even when it wasn’t the easiest for them. The quality of their work and attention to detail were second to none. The system they supplied was unbeatable in both price and performance — top-tier panels paired with one of the best batteries on the market. After the installation, they stayed in touch, promptly revisiting to check on any snags or questions I had without hesitation. It’s rare to find a company that delivers this level of care from start to finish. A very, very happy customer — highly recommend!

Fantastic same day service (to replace a faulty FIT generation meter). The call-out Engineer also did a full check of my Solar PV System, to ensure nothing other than the meter was faulty (or causing the meter fault). The installation Engineers replaced the faulty meter quickly, efficiently and cleanly. No problem recommending SMS based on this particular experience.

Great service from SMS, they were prompt in getting our solar panels installed once we had agreed the package. The lads were great that installed, very efficient and stayed longer making sure everything was connected and working thoroughly. They cleaned up after themselves and moved all of our clutter back into the cupboards we needed to empty. Thankyou. Would definitely recommend.

Solar Maintenance Solutions helped me with my leaky roof underneath my solar panels. They set up the scaffolding, clearing vegetations that was growing out of the roof, repaired the broken tile and protected panel from pigeons going underneath them again. Andrew was friendly, easy to talk to , responsive and helped me solve the problem. I would recommend their services.

SMS removed existing Solar Panels from our roof, at a time convenient to us, to allow urgent repairs to be carried out, and refitted on completion, again on a day convenient to us. Yes 5 stars all the way , as with any installation there have been teething problems, but each one was dealt with swiftly and professionally and with good humour , I now have a great solar and battery installation that was competitively priced, and I know that they are there to support me if needed in the future with any upgrade or problem. I wholeheartedly recommend.

We just had a full new inverter, 10kW battery and electrical rewiring done by Solar Maintenance Solutions (Andy, Jan and Luke). From start to finish, all 3 of them have done a phenomenal job and got our solar panel system working again (apart from 1 damaged panel - not their fault - Andy sourced a new panel which will be all fitted on Tuesday and then we have the full thing working at its optimum). Cannot wait to start saving money on the electric bills and make savings where possible! Thank you to all 3 of the lads for doing a cracking job. 10/10 and kept us all in good company. Will recommend to everyone to use their services in future!

I contacted Solar Maintenance Solutions when my inverter failed, after having no luck with other companies, including my provider, EON. An appointment was arranged for next day. The agent arrived promptly, and after an inspection, he confirmed what I thought was the problem. I opted to have a battery as part of the inverter replacement, as the price offered was cheaper than I had thought. When I asked when I would like the work done, I jokingly said "tomorrow"? A couple of phone calls back to the office, and to my surprise, the answer was Yes! The parts arrived next morning, followed by an engineer. Within a couple of hours, the engineer had me generating again. The fitting of the battery took a little longer, and the engineer worked quite late to finish the job the same day. I was impressed by the quality of the work, and I continue to be impressed by the performance of the battery. I especially like the Web App that lets me monitor the system remotely. I would definitely recommend Solar maintenance Solution to anyone thinking about installing solar, repairing, or adding a battery to an existing system. Steve Boyd, Cheadle Heath

Very good solar company. We ordered solar panels a couple of weeks ago and agreed for some solar panels and 2 batteries with a very fair price. The installation of the solar panels was very quick and there was no problem with any of the team. Very friendly company staff and i would recommend someone to have a look at this company if you want some solar panels fitted at suitable price and as quickly as possible. Have some pictures of the work done by the team and im very pleased. :)
